One has to wonder, does Dowd even know Wallace was a fellow Democrat?

Via The Corner:

In her New York Times column this morning, Maureen Dowd compared conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia to Alabama’s former segregationist governor George Wallace for the way he used “homosexual” in last week’s oral arguments:

“Scalia uses the word “homosexual” the way George Wallace used the word ‘Negro.’ There’s a tone to it. It’s humiliating and hurtful. I don’t think I’m being overly sensitive, merely vigilant.”

Dowd offered no examples of Scalia’s tone or use of the word being “humiliating and hurtful” during the cases in her column.
