How they can justify the hypocrisy is beyond me.
Organizing for Action is launching a Spring 2014 Fellowship Program geared at recruiting the next generation of organizers into the progressive movement. We are looking for passionate new leaders who are interested in exploring OFA’s broad scope approach to issue advocacy. Fellows can expect to learn best practices in the areas of community organizing, media relations, and grassroots fundraising.
Your ability to lead your peers and neighbors and your willingness to learn new things would assist OFA as we continue to solidify our organization’s foundation. We are looking for individuals who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and cultivate relationships with like-minded advocates in their community. Fellows will serve as an expert on goals, expectations, and strategy for their designated volunteer chapter, in addition to being a valuable source of support.
If selected, you will participate in an intensive training that will start you on your organizing journey, as well as ongoing online trainings and conference calls that will connect you will other fellows across the country.
The Spring Organizing Fellowship is an unpaid, volunteer program. OFA is looking for volunteers who are interested in donating their time to the program, without the expectation of pay, for civic and public service purposes. The program is competitive, and the application process will be rigorous.
Update: OFA pushing for an increase in the minimum wage yesterday.
