Beck’s ‘Can’t Spell Oligarch Without The Czars’ Beat Down . . .

I love it when a good plan comes together. . .

From Wikipedia: An Oligarchy (Greek Ὀλιγαρχία, Oligarkhía) is a form of government in which power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society distinguished by royal, wealth, intellectual, family, military or religious hegemony. The word oligarchy is from the Greek words for “few” (ὀλίγος olígos) and “rule” (ἀρχή arkhē). Such states are often controlled by politically powerful families whose children are heavily conditioned and mentored to be heirs of the power of the oligarchy.[citation needed] Oligarchies have been tyrannical throughout history, being completely reliant on public servitude to exist.

Danish Politician Responds to Saudi Demand Newspapers Apologize for Mohammed Cartoons: “They Should Apologize to the World for Making Their Women Wear Burqas”…..

This guy’s comeback is so good it deserves its own post. Update to this post: Saudi Lawyers Representing the “Prophet” Mohammed’s Descendants Demand Danish Newspapers Apologize for Mohammed Cartoons

Danish politician Nader Khader says that “If anybody in the world should apologize to the rest of the world, it’s Saudi Arabia. They should apologize for oppressing their women. They should apologize that women can only inherit half the portion of a brother. They should apologize that women can’t get a driver’s license. They should apologize that you can’t build churches in synagogues in the country.”Khader adds that Saudi Arabia should also apologize for women having to wear a burka.

RNC Chairman Steele on Kennedy’s Death: “Country Won’t be Guilted Into ObamaCare”….

Steele,%20Michael%20LtGov

Well said….

(ABC News)-  On ABCNews.com’s “Top Line,” RNC Chairman Michael Steele said he “can understand why the Democrats — and particularly the left” are using Kennedy’s memory to urge reform, but said Kennedy’s passing shouldn’t change anything.

“I’m not of a mind to reform health care for the sake of anyone’s memory, because I’m concerned about how that impacts my mom and my dad,” Steele told us.

“While I admire the legacy of Sen. Ted Kennedy, I disagree with his view of health care for this country. That’s part of the debate. But I don’t want to see the county be guilted into a health care reform because of the passing – unfortunate passing of a great senator,” he added. “Use that memory to stoke the debate of the clear distinction between Republicans, for example, and Democrats on this issue. Where we think individual should be in power to create a bottom-up, patient-centered system, versus a top-down, government-centered system that the Democrats are proposing.”

Obama To Decrease Raises Of Fed. Employees From 2.4% To 2.0% = Blames It Partly On 9.11. . .

Poop

There’s so much shit in this one article, you’ll think your standing in a dairy farm.

TheHill: President Barack Obama is cutting federal employees’ pay increases next year because of the budget deficit.

In an Aug. 31 letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Obama said he would use his power to reduce the federal employee pay raise set for January 2010 from 2.4 percent to 2.0 percent. (Why the fuck are they getting one at all?)

“The growth in federal requirements is straining the federal budget,” wrote Obama. His letter said a 2.4 percent increase would cost $19.9 billion more than the 2 percent increase he proposed in his 2010 budget. (So he’s fine with spending approx. $100 billion, just not $20 billion more?)

The Congressional Budget Office last week set the fiscal year deficit at $1.6 trillion, the highest deficit ever in the post-World War II era. The Office of Management and Budget estimated the 10-year deficit to 2019 had expanded from $7 trillion to $9 trillion.

…

In addition to citing the national unemployment rate, which dipped to 9.4 percent in July, Obama said his decision was also based on the state of emergency the nation continues to endure following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.( This man had no shame. None. )

Obama said he did not believe the change in the planned raises would hurt the government’s ability to recruit and retain well-qualified employees. He is required to make that determination under law.

House members from districts full of federal employees have called on the White House in future years to provide the same increases to civilian federal employees that it seeks to give to members of the military. The 2010 budget passed by Congress follows Obama’s proposal to increase military pay by 2.9 percent and federal civilian pay by 2 percent. (Our heroes deserve an assload more than some fucking paper pusher. Hell, I think our military deserves the same pay increases Congress gives themselves every so often.)

College Republicans Compiling List of Liberal Professors at Ohio School….

I admire their courage, but nothing will change, the school administration is equally, if not more liberal than the professors. If anything they’re jeopardizing their grades and therefore their futures, there’s no way to liberate academia from the left. The best thing we can do is prepare our kids for the inevitable indoctrination….

The University of Toledo’s College Republicans are compiling a list of liberal professors who they claimed have a bias against conservative students.

The list will include professors who students say have let their political views interfere with the way they interact with students in the classroom.

UT College Republicans President Matt Rubin, a junior majoring in political science and public administration, said the list is not an attempt to bash professors who have liberal ideas, but instead, it is an attempt to speak out for students who may have been victims of the bias, which was then reflected in their grade.

“We’ve been portrayed in the media, as well as comments from people in the community including College Democrats, saying that we’re creating a blacklist in order to smear the names of professors and that’s not true,” Rubin said. “We’re giving a voice to the students that have been harassed because of their political beliefs. It’s the same thing as bashing a student because they’re gay.”

House Libs Say They Aren’t ‘Bluffing’: ObamaCare Must Have Public Option . . .

These people are like cockroaches except they don’t hide when the lights go on.

RollCall: An organizer for liberal House Democrats says the bloc “isn’t bluffing” as it prepares to take a reputation-defining stand to protect a public insurance option in the health care overhaul.

Darcy Burner, executive director of the American Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation, said the health care debate has rallied traditionally disparate Congressional liberals to hang together, while galvanizing support for their position from an array of left-leaning outside groups. The result, she said, is that Democratic leaders will not be able to clear a package through the House if it does not include the public plan.

“We have never had the Progressive Caucus organized the way it is right now,” Burner said during a Friday roundtable with Roll Call. “This is not the normal scenario. And Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi [D-Calif.] knows it.”

…

The group’s organizational strength faces its most serious test this fall, and Burner acknowledged it is incumbent on liberals to convince the White House it will have an easier time getting a bill through the Senate with a public insurance option than getting one through the House without one.

“If Progressives aren’t willing to do the work to make the president do the right thing, it’s unlikely he will,” she said.

NYT Columnist David Brooks: “I Knew Obama Would Make a Great President When I First Saw His Perfectly Creased Pants”….

Msnbc-20080602-brooks

Brooks went on to say, “I never realized I was gay until I saw the giant bulge in Obama’s pants and I got this tingle up my leg”….

In the spring of 2005, New York Times columnist David Brooks arrived at then-Senator Barack Obama’s office for a chat. Brooks, a conservative writer who joined the Times in 2003 from The Weekly Standard, had never met Obama before. But, as they chewed over the finer points of Edmund Burke, it didn’t take long for the two men to click. “I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging,” Brooks recently told me, “but usually when I talk to senators, while they may know a policy area better than me, they generally don’t know political philosophy better than me. I got the sense he knew both better than me.”

That first encounter is still vivid in Brooks’s mind. “I remember distinctly an image of–we were sitting on his couches, and I was looking at his pant leg and his perfectly creased pant,” Brooks says, “and I’m thinking, a) he’s going to be president and b) he’ll be a very good president.” (wow -ed.) In the fall of 2006, two days after Obama’s The Audacity of Hope hit bookstores, Brooks published a glowing Times column. The headline was “Run, Barack, Run.”

National Security Adviser: Obama Having Greater Success Killing and Capturing al-Qaeda Than Bush….

Obamabush

Yes, he really said that…..

(ABC News)- Responding to criticism from former Vice President Cheney that President Obama is making the nation more vulnerable to terrorism, the president’s National Security Adviser, Gen. Jim Jones (Ret.), told ABC News in an exclusive interview that actually the reverse is true: President Obama’s greater success with international relations has meant more terrorists put out of commission.

“This type of radical fundamentalism or terrorism is a threat not only to the United States but to the global community,” Jones said. “The world is coming together on this matter now that President Obama has taken the leadership on it and is approaching it in a slightly different way – actually a radically different way – to discuss things with other rulers to enhance the working relationships with law enforcement agencies – both national and international.”

Jones said that “we are seeing results that indicate more captures, more deaths of radical leaders and a kind of a global coming-together by the fact that this is a threat to not only the United States but to the world at-large and the world is moving toward doing something about it.”

The former Marine General didn’t provide any specific numbers to back up his claim, but he said “there is an increasing trend and I think we seen that in different parts of the world over the last few months for sure.” He added that he was not “making a tally sheet saying we are killing more people, capturing more people than they did — that is not the issue.”

White House Fires Back After Cheney Calls CIA Probe ‘Political’

The White House on Monday fired back after former Vice President Dick Cheney called the Obama administration’s decision
to open a probe into alleged CIA abuses an “outrageous political act.”

White House Press Secretary Roberts Gibbs
broadly dismissed Cheney’s comments on “FOX News Sunday” as typical and unfounded.

“This
is the same song and dance we’ve heard since literally the first day of
our administration,” Gibbs said. “The vice president … clearly had
his facts on a number of things wrong.”

Gibbs did not call
out Cheney on specific misstatements, but suggested the former vice
president’s criticism about a newly formed unit responsible for
interrogating high-value detainees was off base. After Cheney ridiculed
the unit, Gibbs said it would have participants from several law
enforcement agencies and dismissed the notion that the White House
would be making interrogation decisions.

“I’m
not entirely sure that Dick Cheney’s predictions on foreign policy have
borne a whole lot of fruit over the last eight years in a way that has
been either positive or, to the best of my recollection, very correct,”
Gibbs told reporters.

Florida: ROTC Student Suspended From School for Yelling at Muslim Classmate to Stand During Pledge of Allegiance….

CAIR to go ballistic in 3..2..1…

Maybe it’s because her dad served in the U.S. Marines … or because her high school mascot is a fierce-looking eagle … or because she plans to enlist in the Army next summer after graduation to defend her country … whatever the reason, when Heather Lawrence saw a fellow student refuse to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and recite it with the class, the 16-year-old Junior ROTC member saw a teachable moment and took it.

And for that, she’s been suspended five days.

Lawrence’s troubles with administrators at Springstead High School in Spring Hill, Fla., began last Wednesday when she noticed a female Muslim student refusing to participate in the Pledge. The student was wearing a hijab, the traditional Muslim headscarf.

Later in the day, Lawrence encountered the student between periods and told her she should stand for the pledge, reported Hernando Today.

“Take that thing off your head and act like you’re proud to be an American,” Lawrence told her.

Although the student walked away and filed no complaint, a teacher overheard Lawrence’s comment and reported her to school administrators. On Friday, Lawrence was called to Assistant Principal Steve Crognale’s office and her father was called and informed she would be suspended for five days.

Hezbollah fallen to Madoff scam – many Shiites in Lebanon go bankrupt

But… but… wasn’t the investment Sharia approved?

Feel good story of the day:
Hizbullah publishing executive declares bankruptcy

According to Lebanese media
sources, Lebanese businessman and Hizbullah publishing executive Hajj
Salah Ezzedine has declared bankruptcy. Ezzedine, from the town of
Maaroub near the southern port city of Tyre, is the director of the
Hizbullah-owned Dar Al-Hadi Publishing House, named in honor of
Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s son Hadi, who was killed by Israeli
soldiers in a gun battle in 1997.

Dar
Al-Hadi has played a critical role in Hizbullah’s media campaign. In
this capacity it has functioned as the organization’s primary
publishing source printing anti-Israeli and “resistance books” that
include publications by HHizbullah’s second in command Sheikh Naim
Qassem.

For this role, Dar Al-Hadi’s headquarters,
located between Haret Hreik and Bir Al-Abed, two neighborhoods in the
southern suburbs of Beirut, were targeted and nearly destroyed by the
Israeli military during its 2006 military campaign against Hezbollah.
Analysts described the operation as an Israeli attempt to ideologically
weaken the group.

According to Lebanese daily As-Safir,
Ezzedine’s bankruptcy—amounting to an estimated $1.195 billion loss—has
affected thousands of Lebanese investors in the southern suburbs of
Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, areas notable for positive Hizbullah
sentiments. Ezzedine has since been transferred to judiciary
authorities who will decide whether the bankruptcy is technical or
fraudulent.

Because it’s Monday: Israeli Arabs Threaten Revolt

That’s what the title said on ynetnews, “Israeli Arabs threaten revolt“, context doesn’t really matter. . .

Readers may suggest their own excuse:

  • Because it’s Monday
  • Because Allah doesn’t approve of … (fill in the blank as you wish) … gummy bears perhaps?
  • Because education for loyalty to Jewish state is un-Islamic
  • Because Ariel Sharon visited for 99th time on temple mount (that was the excuse in 2001)
  • Because they are requested to pay taxes like everyone else
  • Because it’s the official ‘day of dirt’ (direct translation to a day they commemorate how much they hate the Jews)
  • Because learning the country’s anthem is un-Islamic
  • Because Jews don’t respect their uniqueness, and special culture – and don’t appreciate crime and murder as much as they do

. . .

  • Because it’s Monday

Saudi Lawyers Representing the “Prophet” Mohammed’s Descendants Demand Danish Newspapers Apologize for Mohammed Cartoons….

Mohammed

Sounds like someone needs a nice tall glass of STFU and GTFO…..

A firm of Saudi lawyers, purportedly acting on behalf of descendants of the Prophet Mohammed, has demanded printed and multi-lingual apologies from Danish newspapers who re-printed cartoons of the Prophet, as well as undertakings that all Internet pictures of the caricatures be removed in perpetuity.

The demand from the Saudi Arabian legal firm of A.Z. Yamani, is contained in letters sent to about a dozen Danish editors-in-chief and gives the end of September as a deadline for compliance.

The A.Z. Yamani firm was founded by Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani, Saudi Arabia’s former Oil Minister from 1962 and until 1986 when he was summarily dismissed. The letter in question was sent by his lawyer son Faisal Yamani.

Demands in the letter from the Yamani lawyers require newspapers who reproduced the cartoons to print an unconditional apology in Danish, Arabic, French and English for having offended alleged descendants of the Prophet Mohammed, as well as undertaking never again to reproduce similar drawings or material. The demand includes a requirement that a front page reference to the apology must also be made.

Old and Busted: Al-Qaeda Using Suicide Vests. New and Hot: Al-Qaeda Using Suicide Butt-Plugs….

With the commanders more than happy to stretch it out for them…..

KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia has tightened security at oil facilities after the country’s anti-terror chief, Deputy Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, escaped a suicide attack, guards at Abqaiq, the world’s biggest oil processing plant, said yesterday.

Al Qaeda, meanwhile, claimed responsibility for the suicide attack and said that the bomber, Abdullah Hassan Taleh Al Asiri, had managed to pass security checkpoints and board a private aircraft, Site Intelligence said yesterday.

A statement posted on jihadist forums by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula said Al Asiri passed through checkpoints at Najran airport, near the Yemeni border, and Jeddah airport, the US monitoring service said.

He then boarded Prince Mohammed’s private jet with his explosives, according to the statement, which said he finally blew himself up amongst the prince’s guards. The site also published a picture of Asiri.

Saudi-owned Al Arabiya TV said Asiri was a 23-year-old Saudi whose brother Ibrahim was also on the wanted list.

It said the attacker concealed the explosives in his anus, allowing him to evade detection.

The network also quoted an expert as saying that the method of concealment aimed the blast away from the target, while blowing the bomber to bits.

Former NBA Player and First-Round Draft Pick Enlists in Army, Now Serving on Front-Lines in Iraq….

Timjames

What an awesome story that must must be unfathomable to lefties. Note: Tim James is serving on a unit dedicated to hunting down and killing IED emplacement teams….

MIAMI — Tim James apologized for being late. A rough day at work, said the Miami Heat’s 1999 first-round draft pick. Vehicles broke down, problems flared up, and he simply fell behind.

“It happens,” James said. “Even here.”

Even on the front line of the Iraq war.

A former NBA player who often wondered about his true calling, Tim James is now a U.S. Army soldier, a transformation that even many of the people closest to him never saw coming.

“I got my degree, lived the life I was able, have my freedom and became a professional athlete,” James said last week from Iraq. “I’m the example of the American dream.”

James is at Camp Speicher, the massive base near Tikrit, 85 miles north of Baghdad, not far from Saddam Hussein’s hometown and where insurgents still are a perpetual threat. For Miami Northwestern High, the Miami Hurricanes, three NBA teams and some foreign clubs, he was forward Tim James. For the Army, he’s Spc. Tim James of Task Force ODIN — short for Observe, Detect, Identify, Neutralize.

In layman’s terms, he’s part of the unit tasked with watching and catching the bad guys before they plant bombs.

So long, charter jets, enormous paychecks and Ritz-Carlton hotel stays.

Hello, 130-degree afternoons, 12-hour work days, $2,600 a month and 50-caliber machine guns.

“In life, we all have different desires and needs,” said Leonard Hamilton, James’ college coach and now the coach at Florida State. “With the passion he has, he had to go fulfill this. I’m in total support of Tim and what he’s doing. He’s at peace. All we can do is hope he comes back safely.”

James spent years thinking about the prospects of a military career. Drafted 25th overall by the Heat, James’ NBA career barely registered a basketball blip: He appeared in 43 games for Miami, Charlotte and Philadelphia, never starting and never scoring more than seven points in a game.

“I think of myself as a patriot,” James said. “I wanted to give back to a country that gave so much to me.”

James is believed to be the first former NBA player to enlist and then serve in Iraq. Arizona Cardinals safety Pat Tillman quit football to become an Army Ranger and was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.

James joined the Army on Sept. 12, 2008. The training was brutal, even for a 6-foot-8 basketball player whose athleticism had drawn raves since junior high school. James slept outside in frigid night air, scaled seven-story towers, endured 10-mile marches (“with full battle rattle, as they say,” he said), and learned how to take apart and reassemble his weapon.

He never questioned if he was making the right decision.

“I have no doubts,” James said. “I have no regrets. Not one bit.”
