Boston Mayor Mumbles Menino Says He’s Contacting Arizona-Based Firms With City Contracts to see if They Agree With Immigration Law…

Better not have Mumbles call, they wouldn’t be able to understand a word he says (see MumblesMenino.us)….

Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, joining the City Council in registering strong objections to the tough new immigration laws in Arizona, said today that he will consider canceling city contracts with firms based in the state that agree with the crackdown.

As the City Council passed a resolution calling on the city to cut business ties with Arizona, Menino said it was important to send “a message” that Boston disagreed with its new laws.

“It’s a message saying America is a land of opportunity,” he said. “Now there’s one little state out there saying, ‘We don’t want that land of opportunity. We want to be isolationists.’”

The mayor’s aides said they had already identified at least one contract, a $1.1 million agreement between the Boston Centers for Youth & Families and an Arizona software firm, that would be newly scrutinized, and that there may be others. Menino spokeswoman Dot Joyce said the mayor intends to write each firm and inquire about their views on immigration.

Earlier in the day, the City Council, joining a chorus of criticism nationwide, passed a resolution calling for the city not to invest in state or local government in Arizona. A brief round of cheers broke out in the chamber after the unanimous voice vote.

Arizona: Punished for enforcing the law, making it illegal for illegals to live and function in the state.

Sorry, but if i was on the receiving end of one of these inquiries, I’d politely reply that’s it’s none of their fucking business, none! Zilch, zero, nada, now way, no how, not your business! And I’d probably follow it up with something mature like, nanny nanny boo boo, stick your head in doo doo.

What the hell is America coming to? Did I miss the memo about the thought police? Or minority rule? What does Boston plan on doing when the next ten states pass similar statutes? Pretty soon they’ll be doing business with themselves and by themselves.

Hey POS Mayor Menino, STFU until you move to AZ and become a RESIDENT OF THAT STATE! Then you will truly has a voice to be heard and a vote.

You only are only complaining about this because if you dont your CHEAPLY PAID house staff(without benefits)will be mad at you!

GO CLEAN YOUR OWN HOUSE, CUT YOUR OWN GRASS, DO YOUR OWN DAMN LAUNDRY AND FIX YOUR OWN DAMN MEALS!

You cant even properly run your own POS town. What gives you the right to complain about another state.

Farming your software business out to another state proves how cheap you really are. I hope that company tells you to KISS THEIR ASS!

Jesus may still love you, everyone else thinks you are an ASSHOLE!

Well, I was considering going to Boston with my wife to visit her cousin this summer but it looks like we’ll be going elsewhere. Hey, Menino, the majority of Americans agree with the law and that boycott stuff works both way, you know.

Too bad, I like my wife’s cousin and Boston.
