IBD: Average Estimate Has 63 Democrat-Held House Seats in Play For Republicans…

We need to net 41 seats to take control of the House and kick Pelosi’s sorry ass to the curb…
Trackback | RSS 2.0 | Weasel Zippers(IBD)- That Republican wave is looking bigger: 63 Democrat-held House seats are now toss-ups, likely GOP pickups or lean Democrat. That’s based on average of estimates from the Cook Political Report, the Rothenberg Political Report, Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball and Real Clear Politics.
When IBD looked at that average about a month ago, it was 48.
By some estimates, the Republican potential target list is far bigger. National Review’s Jim Geraghty recently released his list of 99 Democrat seats in play.
RCP’s Sean Trende said last month he wouldn’t be shocked if Republicans won 100 seats or more, though he stressed a 1994-style result would be more likely. The whole analysis is worth checking out.
In 1994, Republicans won 54 seats. This year, they need to pick up a net 41 seats to retake the House.

Just get control, any extra seats is a bonus!
no no no
Getting seats is fine and many of the Mitt R types like to say just as long it has a (r) its ok because that is what he said in MA running as a “conservative” RINO.
IT does not work look at history. A majority only means the RINO’s in place will have senority. We need a super majority where enough conservatives get elected that they can shut the RINO’s out! Period. Anything less then 90 seats and we face a GOP run house from the National GOP not from the conservative movement. Time if for revolution and RINOs just get in the way. Its time to Knock over the weak and Hurdle the dead of the GOP its time for V

I’m with ya!
I can’t believe that with the disaster that is Barack-itis is not weighing heavily on Repubic minds right now. Seems to me that trying to sound like Demo-ratz is the last thing that the Repubic party wants to be post-Nov 2010. There are a number of non_rhinos running for office, among them are Col Alan West. I can’t believe that he wants kick some Rhino ass if he gets elected. If the Repubics get a majority in the House and Senate, they can reverse Obaminomics and that odious Heath Care disaster. Lets do that first and worry about the Rhinos later. There should be plenty of people like Alan West in Congress that would cancel out the gang of 14 in November if the polls hold up.
Don’t forget there are 32 Black, conservative, non-hyphenated Americans running in this election. Woe it be…to any Rhino that gets in their way.
We had a tax rally up here in St Paul today and Michele Bachmann spoke. She said a fellow congressman (Dem) talked to a pollster who who told him that as it stands today, 60-80 Dem seats will be lost in the House. I say it’s not enough.
My biggest worry and question is what are the repubs and conservatives willing to do to keep these newly won seats? Do we have the guts to make the tough choices? I want these seats to be “generational”.
