We work for the advancement of women on multiple fronts.”
Dannenfelser says that the advancement that women’s groups like NOW provide is very selective and she credits Sarah Palin with leading the way for conservative women in politics today.
“The old guard feminists say they have opened the door for women, but when ladies like us show up, they just want to slam the door in our face,” she said. “But Palin shoved it open and was the first women of her kind on the national stage. She created opportunities for more women to run.”
According to Grabenhofer, Palin doesn’t qualify as a feminist.
“I do not consider Sarah Palin to be a feminist,” she said. “She has benefitted from the work of feminists but she has not worked to advance the rights of women. She works against the progressive ideas meant to help.”

At least nominally, NOW was an advocate for all women. They are on record now as being advocates only for the progressive position towards women.
It will be worth reminding leftists in the future that NOW is not a women’s group, but rather a self-described “progressive” women’s group.

NOW is just like the NAACP…creaky old people hobbling around on osteoporotic arthritic bones and knobby knees, so ancient they can’t remember what their names are anymore. Somebody needs to install an “Invisible Barrier” in the yards of their mansions so they can’t get out anymore. They might get run over by a MOVING vehicle if they don’t get out of the way.
The progressives have done more to create a demeaning culture towards women than anyone, barring islam. television and hollywood hate women unless they wear next to nothing, sleep with anybody and anything, an actress must make at least one film with a fully nude scene or provide the press with lots of nude photos, the only ones who seem to get acadamey awards get them for playing hookers, drug addicts or some filthy evil person. Kids’ tv shows regularly have 9 year old boys drooling over “hot” women, and only sometimes girls their own age. Progressive black society is crossing ethnic lines so that now it’s okay in so-called polite society to call women “bitches” and “hos”. Yeah, respect for women in our society has truly risen to new heights as a result of feminism, alright.

Organizations like NOW, the NAACP and other are nothing but vultures. Women and blacks who work hard and make it on their own are a threat to them because they expose not just how outdated they are, they expose that advancing women and people of color isn’t really what they are about, it’s about advancing liberal women and liberal people of color who agree with them.
