We have disabled pinging on this post. | Weasel Zippers(CBS News) — Hundreds of Afghan civilians who worked as informants for the U.S. military have been put at risk by WikiLeaks’ publication of more than 90,000 classified intelligence reports which name and in many cases locate the individuals, The Times newspaper reported Wednesday.
The article says, in spite of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s claim that sensitive information had been removed from the leaked documents, that reporters scanning the reports for just a couple hours found hundreds of Afghan names mentioned as aiding the U.S.-led war effort.
One specific example cited by the paper is a report on an interview conducted by military officers of a potential Taliban defector. The militant is named, along with his father and the village in which they live.
“The leaks certainly have put in real risk and danger the lives and integrity of many Afghans,” a senior official at the Afghan foreign ministry told The Times on condition of anonymity. “The U.S. is both morally and legally responsible for any harm that the leaks might cause to the individuals, particularly those who have been named. It will further limit the U.S./international access to the uncensored views of Afghans.”

Find the person or persons that leaked these documents. Expose them.
Next, ascertain the identity of the people who made the decision to publish these documents.
Then do what is necessary.
First, kill the traitors. Then kill the enemy.
If anyone on this board thinks it’s “okay” to expose to the enemy the name and location of people who have assisted the US military…then you may want to take the necessary steps to hide your idenity. There are those of us who will seek to find you.
Send Julian to Afghanistan so that the Taliban can thank him in person.
Unfortunately WikiLeaks is a Swedish organization, so there isn’t much we in the US can do. I certainly don’t expect the Marxist wannabee in the White House to exert any pressure on Sweeden over this, so it’s likely these scumbags will never pay a price for the deaths that are soon to follow of those who’ve cooperated with us in Afghanistan.
First hang the traitor/s publicly. Quick and effective court martial, and finish him off.

Reading more on this, and the fact that I trust obama and his ilk not at all, I am wondering if this was not a manufactured crisis “of which to take advantage” by dear leader. He doesn’t seem to be too outraged by it and says it supports his strategy change……….I guess that would be to ensure that we lose the war no matter hwo great our military and its leadership.

I have changed my view on this. When I first started reading this document I didnt not think it was that bad but as I began to realize it detailed not only informants but locations and contact as well as details to contact points and other identifiers its obvious this administration has not fucking clue what raw intell is. If the next batch is spec ops and lays open years of well placed sorce material and locations of informants or even our assets game over. Time to just come home because to rebuild such a network first would be impossable as who would trust us and second who will be left after they slaughter those who did in the past and third do we want to spend another 6 years building such a network. I have only read about 500 pages. It gets worse with each as you go deeper. I worked in another area of intell human but know enough to know when it hits the fan.
