We have disabled pinging on this post. | Weasel Zippers(TPM) — As state officials in Michigan review a proposed Tea Party’s petition to appear on the November ballot, evidence is mounting that the party is a front for Democratic supporters hoping to rescue embattled Democrats this fall.
Earlier this week, the party submitted the names of 23 candidates it wants to place on ballots across the state this fall. Though several are for statewide offices, most are running in districts where Republicans are threatening incumbent Democrats. The Detroit Free Press reports today that a local Democratic party official had a role in helping some of the candidates become members of the Tea Party. Combine that with previous reporting showing the nearly 60,000 signatures the party gathered to earn a place on the ballot having been collected by a Democratic firm called Progressive Campaigns, Inc., and you’ve got a recipe for some serious skepticism about the party’s legitimacy.
Democratic party figures in Michigan continue to deny any connection with the Tea Party, just as tea party movement figures in the state continue to claim the party is in no way connected with them, either.
From today’s Free Press:
Affidavits filed by more than half of the 23 candidates from Michigan’s mysterious Tea Party were notarized by the political director of the Oakland County Democratic Party, elections records show . . . [Jason] Bauer is the county party’s operations director and, according to his Facebook page, a committed Democrat.
Bauer’s name “appeared on affidavits for 12 of 23 candidates nominated” by the Tea Party, according to the paper.
This is contemptable, but what do you expect? It’s Democrats. And they’re probably racists.
This November election is going to be so dirty, it’s going to make the Tammany Hall elections, where votes were bought, sold and cajoled and ballot boxes stuffed with Chicago Dead People, look like a kid’s game.
When is enough enough? When they’re all arrested, tried, convicted and executed and the Department of Education, the NEA, the SCIU and the ACLU outlawed and destroyed.
Or, put more succinctly, the Democrat Party cleaned out along with the RINOS like McCain, Graham and the Main Lesbian Senator Twins in the process.

Just what many of us have feared for a long time…plus in my eyes another reason I thing the Tea Party Caucus isn’t such a good idea…plenty of RINOs and dems will be using that Caucus for their own political gain.

What the Dems are missing on this tack is that if people think the “tea party” is fake, they will more likely vote for the Republican on the ticket than the Demoncrat on the ticket. Real tea party supporters will know the difference.
Real, Tea Party Members will know the difference, so very true, they would have already vetted their Party member… its dems who go and vote for whoever has the D next to their name without knowing anything about them..
Believe me, the Michigan Tea Partiers have been all over this. There was a protest in the State Capitol last weekend.

I recommend we ask all our individual members to respectfully contact Mr. Hodge, repeatedly, until we get the answers we are looking for.
A separate email regarding the following separate subjects will hopefully get us these answers:
When is the convention?
Where is the convention?
Is it an open convention?
Can I get directions to the convention?
Who are the candidates?
Is there a slate of candidates?
Can I become a candidate?
How do I become a candidate?
Is there a fee to become a candidate?
Is there a current platform?
Are there delegates?
Can I become a delegate?
How do I become a delegate?
These 15 queries are all legitimate questions to be asking a new party. 15 queries from 1000 or more interested parties hmmmm…. that’s a lot of emails! Fortunately they are a very large law firm.
You might consider using an alternative email account:
