Ah….Fareed, you seem to not understand a basic fundamental principal of economics. The economy does not improve by lessening the consumtion of the citizenry and taking away those citizens hard earned dollars to be used for the wasteful programs of the government greed machine.
It is that very consumption you condemn that drives the economy you fool. If there are no consumers (or at least fewer as he would prefer) to buy products then the producers of said products will produce less and thus hire less as a result of that downturn. Thus, we will see less jobs, less income earners (see smaller tax base), less consumption and a shattered economy.
This man is considered an intelligent human being? By spouting the very economic model that the failing 3rd world countries of the world are using. Hey Fareed, see Venezuela. That is a recipe for sucess eh?
