Huckabee Says Palin in Wrong, Michelle Obama Should Act as the Food Police…

(Politico) — Potential GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says Sarah Palin’s wrong and Michelle Obama’s right, at least when it comes to the first lady’s push to combat childhood obesity.
“With all due respect to my colleague and friend Sarah Palin, I think she’s misunderstood what Michelle Obama is trying to do,” the former Arkansas governor said Tuesday on the “Curtis Sliwa Show.”
Michelle Obama has pushed several initiatives to encourage kids to exercise and eat well, including advocating for the passage of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which President Barack Obama signed into law last week.
Palin has made clear more than once that she sees the first lady’s efforts as an overstep by the federal government. Most recently, on the episode of “Sarah Palin’s America” that aired Sunday, the former vice presidential candidate dedicated the s’mores her family was making to the first lady. “This is in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert,” Palin said.
Overweight for most of his life, Huckabee lost more than 100 pounds after a 2003 health scare and has since become an advocate for healthy eating and exercise.
“Michelle Obama’s not trying to tell people what to eat or not trying to force the government’s desires on people,” Huckabee said. “She’s stating the obvious, that we do have an obesity problem in this country.”
He added: “The first lady’s campaign is on target.”

Palin understands full well what we all understand:
1) Government has no role in dictating who eats what.
2) This food bill by ME-Chelle is nothing more than a takeover of the food industry so that the workers can be made government employees. Once that’s accomplished, they can be unionized under SEIU and voila! a portion of every food sale and paycheck goes to the DNC.
ME-Chelle Obama does NOTHING without a sinister purpose. If Huckabee can’t see this, he is not worth voting for. He’s obviously a RINO tool and needs to quit politics now.
Huckabee is a Jackass.. Yeah right Michelle the Wookie should tell parents how to feed their children, when she can’t even keep her own from getting big old fat asses.

Sarah Palin is hardly and “oldtimer”, RINO. She certainly has a better chance of winning POTUS than Huckabee. The First Fat Ass certainly is telling school systems what to feed the kids. After being slammed for saying “We can’t leave it up to the parents”, they now deny, deny, deny.
I was talking to my daughter about this today and she pointed out that it has to be a local issue and everyone has to support what they want to do. Legislation will never be accepted. Everyone OUGHT to know that different climates demand different diets. Michigan won’t want or need what Hawaii does. We have a science project in our middle school where they have a working garden; it’s highly successful and they actually sell their produce to the local restaurants (nice that they can learn capitalism along with growing produce). They are much more interested in eating the products of a garden they worked on from the planting through harvest and sales. No one is required or forced to eat anything. Seems much more workable to me. I’m pretty sure most of these kids like Happy Meals as well. I really hate the FFA/Food Nazi…who, btw has a BMI of 31 (rated obese)…mostly the bottom half I suppose.
