Christmas in Bethlehem: Cross Banned Over Fear of Provoking Islamic Radicals…
Unacceptable persecution…
Comments & pings are closed.Bethlehem (AsiaNews) – This Christmas in Bethlehem, the cross has been banned from souvenirs for tourists and pilgrims in the Holy Land. Some textile workshops in Jerusalem and Hebron have begun to print and sell T-shirts depicting the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem without the cross.
Because of the growth of Islamic fundamentalism in the Palestinian territories, the cross was also removed from t-shirts of football teams. Interviewed by AsiaNews, Samir Qumsieh, journalist and director of the Catholic television station Al-Mahed Nativity TV in Bethlehem, said: “I want to launch a campaign to urge people not to buy these products – he says – because the removal of the cross is an intimidation against Christians, it is like saying that Jesus was never crucified. ”
Like every year, thousands including authorities, faithful and tourists from all over the world crowd, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem for midnight mass on the night of 24 December. It will be celebrated by the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and will be attended by the highest offices of the Palestinian Authority

oh my god. literally.
Special place in hell for these monsters.
Deny Christ to appease Islamists?
What about “If you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father who is in heaven”.
Cross banned in “Bethlehem”?!?!
If anybody can’t see that Christianity is under attack after this little gem, they are living in a state of denial.
Tanya-
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!
And just yesterday I saw a “news” report on our tax-funded CBC talking about how the Church of the Nativity was having structural problems etc. and taking shots at the Christian denominations that share ownership of the church for this but it didn’t mention the threat of Islamic terror. Oddly enough.
Did you know there is a First Baptist Church of Bethlehem? I met the pastor last month. Amazing people. It is normal for firebombs to be thrown into the chruch during church services. They have pots of water stationed along the walls. When some turn tosses a firebomb the ushers douse it with the water pot. The congretation keeps singing.
Islam banned for fear of provoking God’s wrath…
That’s a real headline that peace is made of.
Nothing to worry about. The UN is on this. I’m sure the UN laws on “defaming religion” will protect cross-carrying Christians from Moslem attacks…. right? Of course!
This is why Israel, and only Israel, should own the Holy Land.
*crack*
there’s that 6th seal again….
come on christians!! get all “crusade” and finish the job this time!
seriously, old testament, check it out.

And yet the US is repairing mosques around the world on the taxpayer’s dime.

Yes, and Yes.
Ditto what Tanya said.
Megadittos to what Tanya said.
Christians should LEAVE the Holy Land and let the local economies go down the toilet.
Serves them right.
