(Fox News)- Rep. Peter King plans to use his new bully pulpit to target immigration.
The New York congressman, who will become the new chairman of the House Homeland Security next week, told the New York Post that he will push for legislation to tighter border security and arrest more immigrants crossing the border illegally.
He said President Obama’s immigration policies were failing.
“The Obama administration continues to display an obvious lack of urgency when it comes to gaining operational control of the border, which is absolutely critical,” King (R-LI) told the newspaper.
King said Obama has “done little” during his term to curb undocumented immigration, adding that the country needs a new game plan “that incorporates the necessary staffing, fencing and technology to do the job.”
His proposals will target private companies that employ undocumented immigrants and beefing up local police to give them free range to make immigration arrests.

I feel very blessed to live in his district. You’d be pretty surprised just how many Republicans live in this district. I only wish there were more of us in New York State but we have our groups and we are making a difference. More and more people are coming to their senses. NY isn’t all blue!

Rupaula, youre actually going to try to give us a lesson in economics? Being a liberal = NO brains when it comes to the economy or making money in a business.
First, hamburger wouldnt go up to $7. These indutries have been getting away with murder, paying people like 2 bucks an hour when minimum wage is 7.25, and most of these jobs when paid fairly would pay way more than that. Its been a free for all of super cheap labor that theyve been exploiting for a long time. If all the cheap labor was gone, theyd be forced to pay what the job SHOULD be paying to LEGAL CITIZENS. If they rocketed the prices up, people wouldnt pay it. Its not like gas you have to have to get to work.
Second, I wouldnt be calling HIM a pandering windbag, when Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Bloomberg, etc are the biggest bunch of pandering DOUCHES to ever walk the face of the earth, trying to force us into giving amnesty to millions of illegals, all so they can suck up and get more votes. Pull your head out of your ass and join the team for the big win.
HINT:That will require knowing which side youre on; the people that want to save America, or the aholes destroying it with failed destructive policies.
