You know, in every movement, I don’t care if it’s black or Irish, there’s always somebody who says I am more for the program than this guy and the teabagers set the standards as to what you’re going to fund and not fund, what taxes you’re going to have and not have and so the best Republican is going to be which one is following the teabaggers and that’s going to be a rough road to do.

Please someone explain what Rangel is trying to say. I’ve read it twice, I know he’s trying to insult the Tea Party at the same time he’s trying to insult “moderate Republicans” and I think he might be trying to say that the Tea Party will exert pressure on politicians to follow their agenda but he just loses me with that last paragraph. What’s he trying so badly to say?

Charlie, is an old Korean war dirt-bag, you know. So in every Congressional bowel movement, there’s somebody who’s gonna say, I’m for this and not for that. So when dirt bags try to do what’s right for the little people, whether they are Irish or black, you’re gonna have some dirt baggers who’ll make it harder for others. When I was on that street corner in Harlem, seventeen years old, and didn’t know what I was doing, I didn’t dream I’d end up with a bullet in my ass and so proud of all I’ve accomplished. My ex-father in law was a Native American Korean War Veteran. He told me about time he spent fighting. He said he was in a foxhole in the middle of winter, freezing his ass off, and a black guy jumped into his foxhole, bayoneted him, and tried to steal his boots. His fellow countryman!!!!
