GOP Rep. Peter King Blasts Obama’s Recess Appointment of James Cole to Deputy Attorney General: “He Treats Islamic Terror as a Criminal Matter”

(The Hill)- Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, has angrily denounced President Obama’s recess appointment of James Cole as deputy attorney general.
King called Cole’s appointment “absolutely shocking” and said it may be one of the worst appointments Obama will make during his presidency.
“I strongly oppose the recess appointment of James Cole to lead the national security team at the Department of Justice.,” King said in a statement. “The appointment indicates that the Obama Administration continues to try to implement its dangerous policies of treating Islamic terrorism as a criminal matter.”
The harsh words demonstrate the deep divisions that exist between some of the president’s policies and Republican positions on terrorism issues and serve as a harbinger for the inevitable clashes to come between the GOP chairmen of key national security committees and the administration.
Cole has advocated for the use of civilian trials in prosecuting terrorism suspects, and King views the appointment as a sign of the administration’s intent to continue to try detainees through the criminal justice system rather than military tribunals as most Republicans prefer.
Cole’s appointment is exactly the wrong message to be sending to U.S. citizens, King said, especially after the public pushback on Obama’s attempts to close the Guantanamo Bay prison facility in Cuba. During the lameduck session, Congress attached language to the $1.1 trillion spending resolution to keep the government funded next year that would prevent Obama from spending any funds to try terrorism suspects in civilian court instead of military commission.

Thanks to the last election, I now do not have a Communist (I think) in congress, and I plan to be in touch.
We’ll see what they’re up to, including gathering material for removal of officials. At best, it will take more elections to get rid of the awful government we have.

Let me explain something to you Ace Baker and The FAKE Bob. Anyone who plays in this arena knows that ignorant comments like yours come with the territory. In other words, what you think means nothing.
As a matter of practice, I usually check something out with an expert before I make a comment like this. I did with one of the smartest computer guys in the business. I simply asked him if it is possible. He answered by proceeding to list all the ways that the governmend can and does routinely intercept emails and Internet transmissions of every type. He also listed all the ways that the government and its agencies, multiple agencies including Homeland Security, routinely intercept emails such as those that go into this blog. The technology to do this is both extremely advanced and common. The people in the computer and security business, an area in which he is an expert and you are not, know this.
So, what this means is simply this. I did my research. You, you ignoramus, didn’t. The best you can do is call me names, a true sign of your capitulation to reason and facts. If you don’t know the meaning of the word “capitulation”, then you’ll have to look it up. For you, it means “fail”.
So, little boy or pussy, get an education, get some experience and grow up. Don’t open you mouth unless you have your facts straight. Because when you do, the only thing you reveal is your stupidity.

Don’t say “sorry” to me. Every action begins with a thought or an idea, and passion to drive it into reality. I’m planting seeds. Some will sprout. It has to be done.
I reject the notion that things cannot be done because of this or that. I reject the notion of “trying” to do something. “Try” is planning in advance to fail. Do or don’t do, there is no “try”.
When Gandhi first proposed to defeat the British and kick them out of India by peaceful, nonviolent means, he was widely criticized. No one had ever done it before.
How many ideas have been rejected by the masses of “experts with opinions” only to have them proven wrong.
The only limits on what you do are those created by you, yourself. There is no limit to what you can create or do. Even if you don’t have the skill or the knowledge to create some fanciful machine, create a new science or have a professed to be black man as president. That doesn’t mean you can’t do it or inspire someone to do it.
All it takes is the will to do it and never give up, never give up, never give up.
It makes no difference if 999,999 people out of a million reject it. All it takes is one person and the will to make it happen.
So I reject the idea that Ocaca cannot, will not and never will be thrown out of office. All it takes is for one person to have the will to do it and inspire others to follow them, or create the reality and general acceptance to make it happen.
