Cleric Issues Fatwa Justifying Egyptian Church Massacre…

Refresh my memory, when was the last time a priest condoned the killing of innocent Muslims?
(AKI News) – A religious edict signed by a Mauritanian cleric linked to Al-Qaeda’ s late leader in Iraq and posted to jihadist websites appears to legitimise the deadly New Year’s Eve attack on a church in northern Egypt. The edict, signed last month by Abu al-Mandhar al-Shanqiti, urges Muslims to avenge the alleged imprisonment in a convent of two Egyptian women after they converted to Islam.
Al-Shanqiti is close to the Jordanian sheikh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, the mentor of Al-Qaeda’s leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed in a US raid there in 2006.
“How should Sharia (Islamic) law view Coptic priests and Christians who proselytise in our country and kidnap our women?” said al-Shanquiti’s message, cited by jihadist website Al-Tawed.
“You should attack those who attack you, with a force that is equal to or greater than theirs.”
“The Koran endorses the principle of ‘an eye for an eye’, a tooth for a tooth.”
He claimed jihadist leaders had decided to avenge the alleged kidnapping of the Muslim women, named in unconfirmed reports as Wafa Costantine and Camelia Shehata.
“These Christians who don’t hand over Muslims and who have kidnapped those two women have violated the accord under which they are afforded protection. We have no obligations towards them,” said al-Shanquit.
He recalled that the Al-Qaeda linked group which claimed the deadly attack on 31 October against a Christian church had in its message called for the release “of prisoners held by the Christian church.”
The attack on the Baghdad church killed 58 people including two priests and injured 80 others and drew international condemnation.

Wait Egypt just said it was da jooooooos how can Muslim take credit… /sarc.
I’ll answer ZIP…never. Because the book they go off of has “Thou Shall Not Kill” in it.
Whatever leaders they have in Moozlem world has the “kill everybody that doesn’t love our moon god and our pedophile prophet” book.
As always Clerics (terrorists themselves) giving aid, comfort and money to the enemies of a civilized world!
islam allows the free reign of a human’s worst impulses. No restraint, no decency, no striving to be a good person.
And to our great shame and detriment, our gov’t says NOTHING. A silence which speaks volumes to anyone paying attention.
I wish that I could spend just three minutes in a dark alley with that fudge-packing al-shanquit…….stinking pedophile.
“The Koran endorses the principle of ‘an eye for an eye’, a tooth for a tooth.”
OK then the next bomb you will see will have a nice mushroom head on it.
The shame is the government response.
It has been known world wide for the last month that terrorists would target Coptic Christians in Egypt. Where was gov’t “intelligence”? They themselves were firing live rounds at students protesting the DESTRUCTION of a Church in November. Should have been looking to preempt the strike.
The BS comments that this was an attack on all Egyptians is false. A church was attacked. Not a shopping mall, restaurant or airport.
Now the horsecrap that Israel is to blame is circulating. Really? Wake up an smell the Falafel sunshine.
Last year began with a drive by murder of 7 Coptic Church goers on Christmas Eve. No justice.
Hmm…the last time a priest, actually, the Pope, condoned the killing of Muslims, was during the two crusades. Other Pope sanctioned torture, and murder events occurred during the dark ages, and the inquisition. Just answering your question, as I like accuracy.
And yet, an unknown Christian minister from a small town church in Florida, with barely 30 members, can issue a “fatwa” that a fuckin’ book, the koran, is evil and he intends to burn a few of them, sends muslims worldwide into hysterics across the planet and causes a diplomatic meltdown of Hellary Clinton and Barry Kenya and the media, once again, to make their testicals (if they have any) withdraw so far up into their abdomens that when they talk, it sounds like they have marbles in their mouths.
Yet they’re all fine with this fartwa from a chickenshit, satanic, obscure, ignorant muslim priest from some shithole muslim hellhole that will eventually be swallowed by the ocean when they’ll all succumb to an early death, thank God.
We live in a fucking insane asylum and I wonder why God lets it happen. It’s His planet, after all. We’re just guests. I guess God’s waiting for us to do something about it. Well, he has a loooooong wait.
@scizzorbill
Crusades. Yeah, that was a good time. Maybe, we should look at that again. Of course I disagree with the peace corridor. We should return the whole region to where it was before the war.
That would be before haradan and before the desecration of the Temple on the Mount.
Me personally, I just love the emblem the EDL has taken for themselves. Red cross, white field, it really sells it. Doesn’t it?
This Fatwa has precedent, from the AlAzhar Scholars front which is a salafist group of Azhar Scholars in AlAzhar in September, 2010 and forms the “fiqh” on which the fatwa is based:

Translation into English would be:
“After the Egyptian Church became the source of intimidation and terror of the state and the nation at large, and after the Church’s arrogance and contempt for laws, norms, customs and religious legitimacy has became apparent to everyone. This church that is yet under the Shenodian reign, brazenly declares its disregard and contempt for these regulations, all for the sake of accounting to illusions that the church seems to have, intending to prove the existence of their religion in the country, at the expense of truth, the state, and its citizens. Making the church a landmark of destruction to national unity and a threat to social security, after the proven evidence of treachery and treason against the national interest and social security of Egypt.
Rendering the state body helpless despite their knowledge of such treason, giving more reason for the Church to continue with its tyranny, event after another, one of which was the Church challenging state laws and refusing the court verdict that attempted to provide equal divorce laws to muslims and christians. (In other words to force Sharia divorce laws on Christians) Their ruler ever so arrogantly declared that the State has no rule over the church.”
The whole translation would take a lot of space, the following is the last part of this statement:
If the church insists and stands by its current position towards the state and religion, then we warn them that our next step will be civic boycotting to ALL christians in egypt, pushing them to the narrowest of paths, preventing them cohabitation.
We call upon the state, before activating the boycott, to stand against those criminal outlaws, and treat them with certainty. Perhaps this will show them that the evil of the fitnah is not far away. ( “And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allaah)” [al-Baqarah 2:193].”) If not…there will be great persecution in the land and great corruption.
This situation requires a speedy boycott, to deprive those criminals of the nation they so greedily covet.
Issued by the Azhar Scholars Front, AlAzhar, on the the third of Shawal 1421, September 12th, 2010.
France, Germany, etc., now have a massive problem with threats against the Coptic Churches in their countries. What the Arabs say in English is NEVER what they say in Arabic!
A foreign terrorist organization attacked Egyptians (whether it was Al Qaeda or Israel, that’s not the point). I don’t get why Egyptian Christians are protesting and fighting with police. We had nothing to do with this. This affected all Egyptians and is dividing the nation even more.
Do you think when 9/11 happened, it only affected Christian Americans? No, it affected Muslims Americans too (maybe even more). Terrorists and extremists are just that. The Quran doesn’t condone such actions and those terrorists are just twisting the words of the Quran to justify their actions. If they were really Muslims, they would know they are making life worse for Muslims everywhere.
As for the actions of some Christians lately, they are in the wrong as well. They capture Christians who converted to Islam and have been harboring them and not letting them out. They are probably being punished as we speak. Yet you never hear about that in the news because it’s not putting Islam in a bad light. Of course the retaliation of such an action is not to blow up a Church with innocent people.
YES .. it is the point. Disinformation, obfuscation and twisting of the facts is the point.. that also appears to be the intent of your post.
Christians and Jews victimized by militant Islam is the point
Allahu Propaganda
Egypt is complicit in senseless massacre
