House Votes to Pass Key Hurdle to Repealing ObamaCare, 236-181…

Just got a tingle up my leg, now I know what Chris Matthews feels like watching Obama speak.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Confronting President Obama, the new Republican-led House took a first step Friday toward a symbolic vote to repeal his landmark health care overhaul law, which would provide coverage to more than 30 million Americans without health insurance.

But the 236-181 largely party-line vote is unlikely to amount to more than a political message, since Democrats who still run the Senate have promised to block efforts to scrap the law and Obama has veto power.

Both sides are preparing for a standoff. They will probably take the big issues in the health care debate back to the voters in 2012, when Obama is expected to run for re-election and the House and Senate are up for grabs again.

The House action set the rules for a debate next week that will culminate in a simple for-or-against vote on repeal, scheduled for Wednesday. The House will also instruct several committees to come up with more modest replacement health care legislation, a process that could take months even if successful.

Still snickering, watched all of the congress-critters on the left with their yammering, the show was priceless.

The repubs are off to a good start…they’d better keep it up, so far I’m tickled pink.

If I had my druthers…repeal completely. If not repeal, then defund it all, then repeal when we get the Senate. Then pass legislation to allow the real reforms that are needed…tort reform, ability to sell across state lines, and removing unnecessary mandates that drive costs up.

Then, if I had my way, pass a law that says anyone attempting to nationalize health care again is banished to some shithole country to enjoy the many benefits of socialism to their dying day.

OK, that last part is just a pipe dream on my part.

It is a good start, along with the 5% staffing cuts and the future defunding of planned child murders.

I still don’t trust any of them. Got too many knives sticking in my back already.

These last two years of the Obysmal Regime have been miserable. If one day isn’t terrifying, it’s demoralizing. Weaken this commie law day by day. Make the dhims’ lives as miserable as they’ve made ours since Chicago jebus usurped the White House. Conservative stress levels have been off the charts since January of ’09; the least the Repub Congress can do is return the favor.

    Go, Congress!
