Neal made that kid look like a complete and absolute novice. I have listened to Neal many times and he is loaded with fact. The left is pushing the Rhetoric angle as a foundation for a Hate Speech law, it is painfully obvious what they are doing.
I just love when Neal will tear these people to shreds with little or no effort. In the past Neal has extended an offer to many Liberals to host his show, the catch is there would be no call screener. They would just have to take what ever call came on the line.
The last I heard, not one Liberal radio host or pundit ever took him up on that offer. It is real simple. Liberals worst fear is an educated caller armed with fact.
So if “vitriolic” language is bad and must be banned, will that close down Hollywierd? Some of those movies – heck most of the SITCOMS – are worse than the political discourse in this country. Talk about inciting violence.
No way, not gonna do it…end of the evening, called Lemon a twit and clueless critter long ago elsewhere and had my post deleted, guess somehow it was supposed to be somehow racist…couldn’t believe it, especially all the years I had been there, he is a twit and clueless critter…period, he always has been along with his other comrades at CNN, he’s just one of the talking heads there that never knows what the hell he’s really talking about..he has his obvious agenda against the right, but he’s still not sure what it is, just what he gets fed every day…he’s Comedy Central and doesn’t ever realize it.

I think that Weasel caught himself in his Zipper when he referred to Lemon as a “mental midget”. I’m pretty confident that Boortz would disagree.
As for wingnuts like Diamond Girl, RPS and Sniffy Pop who chose to mischaracterize the exchange between Lemon and Boortz in order to suit their rightwing worldviews, as well as to vent against “leftist loons”, however, the “mental midget” label seems particularly apt.

Well I gotta admit that I have to change the channel before Joyless Behar finishes a sentence or I start to twitch. So it depends on who’s saying the words.
I actually misread the title. By a quick glance, I thought CNN was trying to put the blame on Boortz. My bad. I did however, enjoy the interview. I always like to hear what Boortz has to say.
For those of you that think it is all the fault of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, ect.: you need a clue. The shooter was a nut job that many people in his community and school called a left wing loony. He was an anarchist and communist. His favorite books were reported as being “The Communist Manifesto” along with “Mien Kampf”. These are not books that a Tea Partier would read much less call their favorites. His notes calls for the destruction of Israel, violent revolution & destruction of our currency. These are not values held by anybody in the Tea Party. These are leftist views.
Now, that be said, we must not place blame on anybody except the criminal. I do not intend to place blame either, just stating facts. This guy was a loon & must be treated as such. This type of behavior can only be called crazy because it has no place in civil society. Blame the criminal, not political adversaries.
@Piglet: Agree – I watched the clip and Don Lemon was civil with Mr Boortz. He allowed him to get his point over and was quite unbiased with his questions.
Do you think Mr. Lemon was acting dumb about Obama’s violent rhetoric, or is he really that clueless?”
@OxyC0n
I guess you see what want to see. Boortz expressed a rightwing partisan viewpoint. Lemon sought that viewpoint as a journalistic exercise, and neutrally gave it context when appropriate. It wasn’t an argument, and neither was attacking the other. I realize that emotionally challenged wingnuts like you are always looking for someone whom you believe to be a liberal, like Don Lemon to have his/her “lunch eaten”, but even Boortz wouldn’t characterize the civil and respectful exchange between himself and Lemon as a confrontational one in which either one “ate the other’s lunch”.
OxyCon, you’re a childish, unsophisticated rightwing boor who needs to turn down the “volume” in his head from 11 to something far more rational. If Boortz can do it, so can you, big guy.
You need to stop getting your “facts” about liberals/progressives from talk radio and Fixed News.
That said, name one American liberal/progressive who has called for “violent revolution”.
While you’re at it, being the student of Tea Party views that you profess to be, maybe you can explain what Sharron Angle meant when she said “if things don’t work out at the ballot box, people will start looking to Second Amendment remedies”? (Out of curiosity, just where on the political spectrum would you put Timothy McVeigh or the heavily armed Beck viewer who was stopped on his way to the Tides Foundation to shoot it up because he “knew” that that was what Beck really wanted to have happen when Beck railed against that organization on his show?)
Finally, check out the Patriot Action Network website (formerly Resistnet.org). It’s a Tea Party/”patriot” echo chamber where calls for armed resistance and/or violent revolution are common. Then get back to me about “violent revolution” being a “leftist view”.
@Zuma Bound…..
Mr. Boortz asked Mr Lemon about quotes (see Sounders post above) and the clown didn’t even realize that they were from Mr. Obama. And then your drivel turns into name calling (wingnuts) Reeeeeal classy.
For your information thats NOT peanut butter behind your ears
(*laughing*) Another emotionally challenged, anti-intellectual wingnut heard from, and in typically juvenile perjorative terms.
See my responses to OxyCon and Greg. No one got “pwn[ed]“. Neal Boortz would be the first one to say it.
Did you even watch the video before responding? I have a feeling that you didn’t. But, hey, I suppose that if you have a preconceived narrative running around in your head already, why bother, right?
Boortz and Lemon had a civil and respectful discussion. Lemon dispassionately and objectively interviewed. Boortz responded in a less dispassionate and objective way, but clearly felt as though he had been respectfully “heard”. How sad it is that you lack the intellect, the objectivity and/or the time to have understood that.
You know what, Not Sure, if people on your side of the political spectrum would just take the chip off of your shoulders, and discard the elementary schoolyard insults when talking about people who disagree with you politically, you might just realize that you’re part of the problem, rather than part of the solution.
Liberals and progressives love this country just as much as I am sure that you think that you do. It’s high time you realized/accepted that, and tried to avoid the polarizing and perjorative comments you seem inclined to hurl at them at the drop of a hat. If only Beck, Boortz, Limbaugh and the rest of rightwing talk radio would do the same, we’d all be better off. But, I’m not holding my breath.
That was a pretty good interview. The CNN wonk let Boortz speak uninterupted. Not what I’d expect from CNN. Nice job however. And Neil was great as always.
Funny thing about wingnuts, RPS57. . .Sooooo thin-skinned about being called wingnuts, but soooooo ready to deploy the “liberal douchebag”/”clown”/etc in their comments at the drop of a hat.
For the record, Lemon “got” the fact that Boortz was purportedly citing quotes from President Obama, he simply said that context is everything in brief and passing response to Boortz’s comments regarding same as the interview ended.
It was no different than earlier in the interview when, after Boortz cited certain purported facts from a Politico article, Lemon simply noted that he had no way of verifying those “facts”.
Lemon was interviewing Boortz, not trying to pick a fight with him. If you think that he didn’t “get” what Boortz was saying, take your partisan blinders off, and think again.
In any event, I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings by using the term, “wingnut”. I’m also sorry that it got your panties up in such a bunch that you failed to address the substance of what my comment had to say. One word out of a couple of hundred, and meant in more of a descriptive than a perjorative sense, at that. Tell you what, tell the rest of your wingnut brethren to stop saying things like “liberal douchebags” or “leftist loons”, and I’ll consider refraining from using the word, “wingnut”, a’ite?
By the way, I didn’t really get the “peanut butter behind the ears” comment. If it was intended as an insult, it didn’t “stick”. That said, it is important to remember that an insult is truly only an insult if the person you are attempting to insult understands the nature of the insult.
I foresee the possibility that you are just a cranky old guy sitting on a veranda somewhere in his bathrobe waiting for the neighborhood kids to come around so that you can shake your copy of the John Birch Society newsletter at them and yell at them to get off of your lawn. Maybe using expressions from a different era that no one gets anymore. So, I’m just going to cut you some slack there, oldtimer. You know what? Now that I think about it, the “cranky old guy” thing might just also explain your need to jump all over Don Lemon, the facts be damned.
Anyway, RPS, lighten up. I love America just as much as I’m sure you do. Stop being so thin-skinned.
P.S. If you have time, how about explaining the “peanut butter” thing, huh?
To those who think Palin’s map means the end of her career , the democrats
used a similar map in ’04. Oh, and Palin didn’t just single out Giffords
in her map. So, this is just nothing.
The left really wants to change the nomenclature of American society and terminate colloquial expressions by eliminating the following phrases and words:
- Lock and Load
- Saddle Up
- Back in the Saddle
- Hits the Mark/Target
- Take Aim
- Reload
- Dope (as in dope your rifle)
- Hunt/ing
- Target Practice
- Hot Lead
- Hollow Point
- Pull The Trigger
- Firing Line
- Bullseye
- Any references to Colt
- Any references to Smith & Wesson
- Any references to Garand
Though my list is by no means complete, I think that you get the picture. The left uses the canards of “hate speech” and “right-wing rhetoric” when they disagree and lose arguments based on logic and common sense. The left attempts to vilify those that they hate at every opportunity and will attempt to use legislation, see Europe, see Canada, in order to criminalize words, phrases and people that they disagree with.
Notice how zuma bound is accusing us of violent rhetoric while giving a benefit of the doubt to his side who called for the violent overthrow of the bush admin why is he doing that?
Lefties are so good at projecting. While they claim their righteous indignation, they stop at other blogs and use their own brand of invectives like “cracker” for instance; or “tea bagger” while criticising the right when they call the progressives what they really are: just another branch of the statist tree. Their arrogance fails to hide their lack of discernment on the issues; their arrogant projections notwithstanding.
Original intent vs statism and the Living Constitution? And who cares for this country? The Progressive control freaks? Not even close.
Progressives should dispell their own myths that all conservatives get their views from the same sources. Uh no they don’t. Yjere are no talking points, since the hallmark of conservatism has always been that conservatives choose to think for themselves and do their own research on the issues, rather than rely on some talking head to do their thinking for them. That Conservatives happen to agree on alot of issues just goes with the territory.
The three pillars of conservatism – economic liberty, national defense and social conservatism – are considered by many in the conservative movement to be indivisible. It is not necessary to have a TV or listen to talk radio to acquire those atributes.
The whole premise of the leftist tie-in with the Tea Party, SP and the shooter in Az is indicative of their own malice towards anyone that disagrees with them.
However, Progressives shouldn’t be surprised when people on the right have no problem slinging mud right back in their faces when they lie through their over-educated teeth. We read Alinsky too.
But I digress…We, the Conservative movement will not remain silent while Progressives are destroying our country, and trying to micro-manage every aspect of our lives.
We’ll see you at the polls in 2012, when we whittle more of you progressives away and hopefully consign your Chicago Jesus to the retirement home for Jimmy Carter act-alikes.
How did Neal eat up CNN? Just because he age dropped. Ok, we get it he has been at this a while. He also knew some language that obama used against terrorists. Spin. Its all spin. Can we just stop bashing other parties. I have been listening to Neal and Rush. I have bean tryimg to listen to both sides. But when I do, all I hear is bashing. If I listen to the left (which there isnt much to choose on radio) I hear issues and proposals to solve. They might lead to more debt but I am hearing attempts. When I listen to the right all I get is attacks on what the left is doing wrong. Example: Neal rips Lemon on his age twice. If anyone knows of a left show that ripsthe right please post. Id love to hear.
It is interesting how concern trolls such as ZumaB invariably begin their trolling with a faux open mindedness aka on.the.other.hand but as soon as they are engaged and receive push back, the concern trolls fall right back into the lefty need to demonize individuals. What small tools these types are.
quote zuma bound: “Another emotionally challenged, anti-intellectual wingnut heard from, and in typically juvenile perjorative terms.”….Funny thing about wingnuts…..”
“you’re a childish, unsophisticated rightwing boor ”
quote zuma bound: if people on your side of the political spectrum would just take the chip off of your shoulders, and discard the elementary schoolyard insults when talking about people who disagree with you politically…….
Don – if you’re trying to side with someone, at least get their quotes right. When the person you’re interviewing gets the quote right, and you don’t, it makes you look like an imbecile.
The sheriff: “…about hatred, about mistrust of government, about paranoia of how government operates…”
Neal: “…and as far as distrust of government, I think a healthy distrust of government is healthly.”
Don: “I think he said, ‘people who are trying to tear down the government…’ Let’s talk about…”
“Notice how zuma bound is accusing us of violent rhetoric while giving a benefit of the doubt to his side who called for the violent overthrow of the bush admin why is he doing that?”
@ Doh Biden
You need to read more carefully, son. The point that I was making to Gregg in my post was that there is “violent rhetoric” coming from the right, as well. I was hardly excusing such rhetoric on anyone else’s part. I wasn’t giving a pass to anyone. I was objecting to Greg giving a pass to the right for it’s “violent rhetoric,” and stating that “violent rhetoric” was a “leftist view”.
Take the partisan blinders off, DB, it will make reading a heck of a lot easier, not to mention comprehension.
“It is interesting how concern trolls such as ZumaB invariably begin their trolling with a faux open mindedness aka on.the.other.hand but as soon as they are engaged and receive push back, the concern trolls fall right back into the lefty need to demonize individuals. @ Westie
I’m sorry, son. Did I violate the tender sensibilities and protocols of the echo chamber by interrupting the steady drumbeat of partisan tunnelvision that I encountered here?
“The lefty need to demonize individuals”? Are you so deep in the wingnut Kool-Aid that you don’t see that it cuts both ways kor care?
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, son.
In any event, no one truly “engaged” with my substantive points, choosing instead to “demonize”. I responded in kind. Tit for tat, my tunnelvisioned wingnut brother.
I would note, for the record, that you elected, as well, not to “engage” with my substantive points, electing instead to demonize me.
ZipperWeasel’s opening comment was, “Don Lemon is a mental midget”. I didn’t see you comment about his/her/their “need to demonize individuals.” I guess in your universe it’s just fine to “demonize indiviudals”, depending on who is doing it and who the target is, huh?
The wingnuts who commented thereafter fell in lockstep with ZipperWeasel. I looked at the video, and posted a substantive comment disagreeing with Don Lemon’s demonization.
As I was saying, no one, dealt with the substance of what I had said in disagreement with that demonization, choosing instead to piviot and demonize the left. You took it a step further and demonized me.
Watch out, JpRAustin, fairminded individual that he is, might just have to call you a hypocrite.
I checked out the video at the link that you provided. Except for Jeremiah Wright, who has been marginalized and isn’t taken seriously, not a single call for revolution therein.
Look, John, I was trying to make a point to Gregg when I asked him to provide evidence for the generalizations that he had made, the point being that it’s easy to generalize without putting forth any evidence for the propositions that are being put out there.
I know that there are people on the left that use “violent rhetoric”, but, at some point, you need to concede that the “violent rhetoric” on the right can be just as dangerous. You also need to recognize that, in increasing proportions, that such rhetoric is now coming from the right, and that people are actually acting on it.
In the 60s, the left suffered from a violent streak. With the militia movement of the 90s, from which Timothy McVeigh drew sustenance and inspiration, and the “Second Amendment remedies” talk of the new Millenium, it is now the right which has a real problem in this regard. Attacking the left with false equivalencies isn’t going to change that. I can only hope that the right sobers up before some nutcase listens to Beck or Limbaugh or Angle or Palin and tries to take out “the usurper”, and dials back its rhetoric.
A guy listens to Glenn Beck railing against the Tide Foundation, heavily arms himself and takes off for San Francisco with the intention of putting an end to the “evil” organization that Beck had railed against, “knowing” that that is what Beck “actually” intended for someone to do.
Sarah Palin, snarky political “mean girl”, puts crosshairs over twenty Congressional Districts, and coincidentally one of the subject Congresspeople becomes the subject of an assassination attempt.
The volume of rhetoric needs to be turned down on both sides, not mindlessly defended in every quarter for purely partisan reasons as I’ve seen done here.
Anyway, JD, it seems like everybody in the country, even you, has something they need to figure out before it’s too late.
Drop the “Son” and “Brother” comments. Most of us are aware of your condescension and elitism as you follow your delusions to a so-called higher truth known only to yourselves. You are not the intellectual you believe yourself to be.
We see through your attempts to take away First Amendment rights from those who have the temerity to disagree with you. It doesn’t make you appear smarter. It does make you clever but in a small way as you project your failings, read; transference, on those you have little regard for. You speak of the various amendments you most fear constantly. Yet you overlook the constitution that contains each of them so you can pick and choose the ones that support your world view while neutering the pesky ones that disallow your delusional dreams.
Worse, you assume those you disagree with blindly follow the statements of Beck, Limbaugh, et al, in the same manner the left worships at the altar of their religion of progressive/socialism ideology. Additionally, your scurrilous attacks on conservative women is nothing short of sexism and misogyny. For all this you are losing what little credibility you had as evidenced by the recent loss in the 2010 elections. Double down and watch what happens in 2012.
Vet66:
You just about covered it. He’d be entertaining if he weren’t so pathetic.
Oh, look out….here come another 6-8-12 posts….. most be nice to have so much free time.
Goodness Zuma, aren’t you the presumptive one?
Just because I use a popular colloquialism to describe my opinion of the exchange between Mr. Boortz and Mr. Lemon is no reason to ‘perjoratively’ refer to me as anti-intellectual and juvenile. Project much?
Just because they had a polite and civilized conversation is no reason to assume that neither party came out on top. Can a gentleman not politely ‘pwn’ another?
If you ask me, Lemon realized almost immediately that Boortz had the upper hand in the discussion, and having no valid rebuttal, decided to simply play nice lest he escalate the situation and end up getting his ass handed to him proper.
With regard to chips and shoulders and ‘perjorative’ comments, kindly look in the mirror before spouting off again. While you’re standing there, kindly answer me this; if, as you say, liberals love this country ‘just as much as I am sure that you think that you do’, why aren’t you ever satisfied with it the way it is? If you love it so much, then why are you always ‘hoping’ to ‘change’ things?
You remind me of that old refrain of the typical meddlesome wife: ” I love you just the way you are, now change.”
Zuma, go to YouTube and look up Frances Fox Piven. She is close with Barak Obama. Listen to what she says about using violence. The left has their underground which is poised to strike at conservatives at a moments notice. You really need to open your eyes and do some legit research and not go to bloggers for your information.
Everyone who disagrees with me should go to Michelle Malkin’s website and view the disgusting hate overflowing from the left.
Buster, you need to do more study. Have you never heard of Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews? Talk about the left ripping the right. Have you never heard of the Daily Kos? The Huffington Post? Media Matters? Air America?
Neal Boortz ate this dopes lunch because Boortz quoted Barak Obama. Obama did not direct those remarks toward terrorists, which by the way Obama does not believe they exist anymore, those remarks were made during his campaign and afterwards. Obama did not speak out against people burning Palin in effigy and worse. He did not speak against the SEIU beating a man at a rally because he was giving away buttons with “Do not tread on Me” on them. Obama did not send the Black Panthers away from voting booths and his AG shot down charges pending against the Panthers for intimidation at a polling location.
Obama did say that the police acted stupidly even though he admitted he did not have all of the facts.
Get a clue!!!
@ Zuma Bound….I’m not thin skinned,I’ve been called worse by better people. You were the one that ‘called out’ myself and others, posting that ‘wingnuts’ didn’t understand the complexity of what we had just watched, even suggesting that we hadn’t even bothered to watch the clip in the first place.Sounds more like you’re engaging in ‘bullying’.Rather than having a civilized discussion, YOU are the one that started the name-calling.It’s almost as if your mind is made up and there is no point in confusing it with facts.
I’m a little concerned about the climate of hate your fostering.
Think about it…it’s NOT peanut butter behind your ears
(you’ve got your head up your ass)
I find it rather surprising that had to be explained for such an enlightened person such as yourself.
If your not watching Glenn Beck your not fully informed. You need to be more diverse in your entertainment. Learn who to watch, what to read, and how to listen. GD
Don Lemon did let Neil fully answer every question he presented. Don lemon should also interview Rush and Beck.
“this is going to be my last question”
Smart move, seeing how you just had your ass handed to ya.
I can’t wait to see what Boortz has to say about this tomorrow.
Neal made that kid look like a complete and absolute novice. I have listened to Neal many times and he is loaded with fact. The left is pushing the Rhetoric angle as a foundation for a Hate Speech law, it is painfully obvious what they are doing.

Leftist Loons are a dime a dozen.
One thing is for sure. Sarah Palin’s political career is over.
Carey, I think you are right about that.
Boortz quoted Obama’s rehetoric, examples:
“They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
“Get in Their Faces!”
“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
“Hit Back Twice As Hard”
“We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
“Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
“It’s time to Fight for it.”
“Punish your enemies.”
“I’m itching for a fight.”
And the dolt asked: “what’s your point…?”
Did WeaselZipper or any of you bother to watch the clip before shooting your mouths off?

I thought Don Lemon did an excellent job. Sure he is a liberal, but he was 100% civil and courteous and the questions were reasonable.
And of course, boortz knocked it out of the park.
If the rest of CNN were like this then they might have more viewers than “Flintstones” reruns.

@whosebone – I suspect they are referring to Palin’s map. Do a search for “palin’s map” in Google.
Boortz on top of his game is always a treat.
The left really wants to change the nomenclature of American society and terminate colloquial expressions by eliminating the following phrases and words:
- Lock and Load
- Saddle Up
- Back in the Saddle
- Hits the Mark/Target
- Take Aim
- Reload
- Dope (as in dope your rifle)
- Hunt/ing
- Target Practice
- Hot Lead
- Hollow Point
- Pull The Trigger
- Firing Line
- Bullseye
- Any references to Colt
- Any references to Smith & Wesson
- Any references to Garand
Though my list is by no means complete, I think that you get the picture. The left uses the canards of “hate speech” and “right-wing rhetoric” when they disagree and lose arguments based on logic and common sense. The left attempts to vilify those that they hate at every opportunity and will attempt to use legislation, see Europe, see Canada, in order to criminalize words, phrases and people that they disagree with.
Notice how zuma bound is accusing us of violent rhetoric while giving a benefit of the doubt to his side who called for the violent overthrow of the bush admin why is he doing that?
i like Neal Bortz.
Keith olbermann ring a bell you obot?
Yes notice how the left brings results which reduce the deficit?
I want some of what your having.
It is interesting how concern trolls such as ZumaB invariably begin their trolling with a faux open mindedness aka on.the.other.hand but as soon as they are engaged and receive push back, the concern trolls fall right back into the lefty need to demonize individuals. What small tools these types are.
GO Neal!
quote zuma bound: “Another emotionally challenged, anti-intellectual wingnut heard from, and in typically juvenile perjorative terms.”….Funny thing about wingnuts…..”
“you’re a childish, unsophisticated rightwing boor ”
quote zuma bound: if people on your side of the political spectrum would just take the chip off of your shoulders, and discard the elementary schoolyard insults when talking about people who disagree with you politically…….

That said, name one American liberal/progressive who has called for “violent revolution”.
—
Easy.
http://weaselzippers.us/2011/01/03/video-left-openly-rooting-for-revolution-calls-for-american-civil-unrest-riots/
I could name about 20 others, but it isn’t worth the time to type it all.
You’ll figure it out eventually.

@ JpRAustin
See the comment that I posted in response to Joh Biden, just above.
AND calm down, my hypersensitive wingnut brother.
@ John Doe
Take care of yourself.
Neal Boortz needs to take a good, long look in the mirror. He’s clearly in denial.
Zumabound;
GD
