Dem Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr: Giffords’ Shooting an “Act of Terror” Because Loughner is an “Anti-Government Activist”
His not-so-subtle way of blaming this on the Tea Party.
(Politico)- The appropriate response to last weekend’s shooting in Arizona depends in large part on how we define it. If we choose to view the events in Tucson as the act of a lone lunatic, the American people will respond accordingly. If we choose to define it as an act of terrorism, the American people have quite a different response.
The assassination of President Abraham Lincoln was part of a conspiracy to kill several prominent national figures. The shootings of President John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy were the acts of lone, deranged gunmen.
However, from the shooting of Lincoln to the events in Tucson, there is a thread that liberals and conservatives have ignored. Each event traumatized our government and disrupted its business — and was carried out by anti-government activists. And that’s terror.
. . . . The war on terror is not just about foreign extremists. In our country, terror has a varied face — and that face includes Booth, Oswald, Ray, Sirhan Sirhan, Ted Kaczynski, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, the 9/11 conspirators and Jared Lee Loughner.
Our “home-grown” terrorists have come from the ranks of the anti-government movement. However, the effect is the same. As such, we owe it to those who work in our district offices to respond thoughtfully, and to ensure that resources are available to keep them as safe as possible.

I can’t wait to hear Pastor Fred Phelps get on the air and publicly announce that he agrees with every observation that the Democratic party is making. The entire country is already disgusted by the Westboro hate monger. Has this event changed our day-to-day lives or made us more anxious about our day-to-day lives? No. It’s not terrorism.
Did the shooter intend to terrorize the American public at large? No. It’s not terrorism.
To continue what I posted above, it is the Democrats’ intention to get this act labeled as terrorism in order to add a second, more recent name to McVeigh’s to weigh against the 16000+ acts of Islamic terrorism in the past 10 years on the moral equivalency scale.

One thing I have noticed about the lefty comments on the Tucson murders is that the IQ of the individual that makes a stupid comment goes down as the story ages. Lets look at the first round that included Krugman, Rich, Fonda (Cross Hair Jane), Shultz and of course all of the alphabet soup network reporters. This isn’t a very bright group of people even though some of them have made a lot of money. Then you have the second wave of nutjobs like JJ Jr., Clyborn, Dupnik and many Demorat Congress critters. This means that they must have time to think up something really important to say to the MSM and they need the extra time to come up with their story. After a week of thinking JJ Jr. came up with this? And Clyborn said that intellectually Sarah Palin didn’t understand what was going on? Does this not make your heart swell with optimism and hope? If after a week this is what these mensas come up with, we will win this fight!
