GOP Rep. Steve King (R-Terminator): Full Repeal of ObamaCare Possible by Cutting Off Its Funding…

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: Though GOP efforts to repeal President Obama’s health care law is almost certainly set to fall short, Republicans are already plotting their next steps – and are planning to use power over the government’s purse strings to block much of the law from taking effect.
On ABC’s “Top Line” today, Rep. Steve King – a main co-sponsor of the repeal effort – told us that he’s not giving up on the possibility that the Senate will also repeal the law, as the House is planning to do this week.
That means a new Republican president could sign “the repeal of Obamacare as one of the first acts of his new presidency,” in 2013, King said.
In the meantime, he said, Republicans can attack the law by cutting off funds for its implementation:
“We can bring about, in effect, a full repeal by just stopping the funding,” said King, R-Iowa. “It stops the collection of taxes and it stops, well, it stops the expenditure of the money and it stops the enforcement.”
But without a repeal, he said, “it will grow back on us like a malignant tumor would grow back on us. So I want to pull it all out by the roots.”
While Republicans are promising to replace the current law with a more piecemeal approach that would include reforms to the insurance market, King said he’s willing to tell those helped by the current law that they’d be out of luck.
“I’m willing to do that — I’m willing to say we can’t afford it. They all know we can’t afford it,” King said.
With attention focused on political rhetoric in the wake of the Tucson shooting, King defended recent comments where he said the health care law is the result of an “irrational Leftist lust for socialized medicine.”
“The word ‘lust’ is more associated with the word love than it is violence. So I didn’t think that that was an irrational comment at all, I just thought that it described the scenario that we’re in,” King said. “And I have an irrational lust to love the Constitution and a fiscal responsibility in individualism. So I don’t think, I don’t think that’s sharp rhetoric.”

I dont feel like i should be forced to have health insurance, I think everyone would like to have health insurance if they could afford it. If you need affordable health insurance search online “Wise Health Insurance” you dont want to be with out insurance any time.

History will repeat itself if we do not stop this Obamacare. My Mothers Uncle worked in a shoe factory in Nazi Germany. When Hitler took over, he was placed in a middle management position in the Health Ministry. He had no clue what he was doing there, but he did his job to avoid going to a camp.
We see the same crap with this administration having a complete lack of private sector experience. I can not imagine what will happen and how invasive Obamacare will be if it passes.
It will be the first step toward communism.

I was listening to the Tea Party teleconference call last night. Michelle Bachmann and Steve King were on for parts of it – GO STEVE! He said essentially the same stuff on the call as noted in the article above. He wants to back obama into a corner on this. Bachmann pointed out to one caller that we can never give up and DO NOT FALL for the constant media stories that we will fail ,e tc, etc – she basically and quite correctly pointed out that they are trying to undermine us in every way and decide for us what we should do.
The other thing that is not mentioned enough is the shear number of TAX INCREASES buried in the obamacare bill. The bill really is about subjugating the American people and taking away our freedoms. Let’s face it, over the past 100 years and especially since FDR, we have lost a lot of what the Founders intended us to have in the way of freedom and self direction. This is truly a desperate time, and we need to stop giving in to the liberal/social democrat crowd thinking that we are just compromising – for if we do, we are just maintaining the loss of freedoms on some scale. It will just give them more leverage in the long run. We must kill off the socialist/communist ideology in this country. (and yes, I used the word kill for you lefty trolls to freak out about!)

“Lust” in the Biblical definition is the desire for something that is not lawful to attain. Thus, sexual desire in a marriage is lawful, while the same desire for someone the spouse of a neighbor is lust. The same can be said for for property.
In fact, the Tenth Commandment places both property and marriage under the same protection. And at its core, socialism is the morally bankrupt proposition that each of us can live at the expense of others. This is first coveting, but it must be put into effect by using government to steal via taxation and inflation (theft by dilution). And we are told that socialism is “fair” and will make us all prosperous. Socialism is an institutional form of coveting, theft and lies, and in this light, cannot be supported by someone who obeys the Ten Commandments.
I will back this man to the hilt on this!
