To be precise, it’s more like a cross between Dr. Evil and a crazed hyaena (57 second mark).

SEIU Members Being Investigated For Working With Hamas and FARC Terrorists…

The Islamists/leftist axis of evil remains as strong as ever.
(Big Gov’t)- Prominent current and former members of SEIU local 73 are being investigated for their potential ties to the Hamas and FARC terrorist groups.
Late last year, their homes were raided by the FBI, and they were subpoenaed to appear in front of a grand jury for questioning.
Joe Iosbaker, Chief Steward of SEIU 73, and Tom Burke (former board member of SEIU 73) are among 9 people who are subjects in the investigation. None of them have been charged with any crimes, yet.
Two days ago, they refused again to appear in front of the grand jury.
The interesting thing about these SEIU folks is that they also belong to a violently radical group called the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. From their website:
The Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) is a revolutionary socialist and Marxist-Leninist organization in the United States.
1) We stand for the right to self-determination up to and including secession for the African American nation in the Black Belt South.
While rejecting Zionist claims on Palestine and white supremacist claims to a white southern nation or northwestern nation, we do acknowledge the fact that the most advanced sections of the Black liberation movement, from the 1800s on, have demanded a Black Republic in the South.
It gets worse from there.
This is the same group who, along with the other subjects of the FBI investigation, takes credit for staging the 2008 RNC protest-riots.
Shockingly, SEIU leadership is supporting their accused members, and the chosen strategy of not cooperating with law enforcement.
Queen Michelle Tells Soldiers to Put Down the Ring Dings, You’re “Affecting Our to Ability to Protect Our Freedom”…

Do as I say, not as I do.
(Politico)- Taking her Let’s Move! initiative on the road to Fort Jackson, S.C., Michelle Obama tied together her two favorite causes: childhood obesity and military families.
Childhood obesity is “not just a health issue for children, it’s a national security issue,” Obama said while visiting the Army’s largest basic training facility. “You have to get the whole country behind this because it’s affecting our ability to protect our freedom.”
In a briefing at Fort Jackson, Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, the Army’s initial training deputy commander, said attracting recruits who can meet physical fitness requirements is becoming more difficult.
Hertling blamed part of the problem on television, computers and fast food, according to a White House pool report.
While today’s youngsters are smarter, “they don’t do things like play,” he said.
“It’s a generational thing and it’s going to be hard to change a whole generation,” he said.
After the briefing on Thursday, Michelle Obama spoke at a graduation for more than 1,100 soldiers.
Egypt: Regime Places Former UN Nuke Chief Mohamed ElBaradei Under House Arrest…

No sympathy from me.
(JPost)- At least two people were killed on Friday Egypt in mass protests against the government, reported al-Jazeera.
One woman was killed in Cairo, and another man was shot to death in Suez, according to the report.
One of the leaders of the opposition, Ayman Nour of the “El-Ghad” movement, also sustained a head injury from a stone, said al-Jazeera.
Police placed Nobel Peace laureate Mohamed ElBaradei under house arrest after he was captured by police.
Earlier, after joining the latest round of protests, ElBaradei and his supporters were trapped inside a mosque while hundreds of riot police laid siege to it, firing tear gas in the streets around so no one could leave.

Michelle Obama Vows to Campaign For Husband in 2012, Rip Opponents Arms off and Beat Them Senseless…

How brave of her, to mingle with the commoners.
(The Hill)- First lady Michelle Obama vowed Friday to be an active partner in President Obama’s reelection campaign.
While for the time being the first lady is more focused on her pet initiatives — addressing childhood obesity and aiding military families — she said she’ll be ready to work for President Obama’s campaign when the time comes.
“It truly is far away. And whenever it’s time to campaign, they’ll tap me on the shoulder, and I’ll be right there,” Obama said of the 2012 campaign on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “But until then, we’ve got some great initiatives.”
“We’ve got a lot of work to do, and I’m rolling up my sleeves to get that work done,” Michelle Obama said. “And we’ll cross that other bridge when we get there.”
Top NH Democrat Threatens to Hang Republicans…
Keepin’ it classy.
(NH Journal)- Amidst a national dialogue about softening political rhetoric, members of an Obama-affiliated organization are threatening to hang Granite State Republicans in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, according to a news story in the Citizen of Laconia.
“They’re going to hang themselves,” said Belknap Democratic Chair Ed Allard of Republicans. “And we’re going to help them.”
Allard’s threat came during a meeting of despondent Democrats in Belknap County on Thursday evening. The meeting was hosted by President Obama’s Organizing for America.
Allard’s remarks come at a time when some in the national Democratic Party have attempted to blame conservative rhetoric for the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Gifford in Tuscon, Az. earlier this month.
After the tragedy in Tuscon, President Obama himself urged Americans to “pause for a moment, and to make sure that we are talking to each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”

Obama Used Executive Order to Put Union Bosses in Charge of Federal Agencies, Then Exempted Them From FOIA

Disturbing to say the least.
(Washington Examiner)- President Obama is garnering lots of critical attention for his recently signed executive order directing federal agencies to conduct what appears to be a purely symbolic review their regulations for their economic impact, but another presidential document he signed nearly two years ago is anything but figurative.
The document is Executive Order 13522, aka “Creating Labor-Management Forums to Improve Delivery of Government Services.” As RedState’s Labor Union Report notes, this EO was signed when the nation was distracted by the Obamacare debate.
What the EO means, however, is that Obama “has turned over a significant portion of the Executive Branch of the United States government to union bosses.” This could be the most significant federal policy decision regarding federal labor-management relations since President Kennedy signed the first EO in 1962 granting representatial rights to federal employee unions.
RedState quotes from a guidance document distributed recently to federal political appointees and career civil service managers that stipulates the following:
“As stated in the Executive Order, ‘Management should discuss workplace challenges and problems with labor and endeavor to develop solutions jointly, rather than advise union representatives of predetermined solutions to problems and then engage in bargaining over the impact and implementation of the predetermined solutions.’
“Therefore, it is imperative that management immediately engage unions on an ongoing basis consistent with the spirit and intent of the Executive Order.”
In other words, Obama has given veto power on federal policy to the bosses running the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
As dangerous and destructive as that decision is, I guess nobody should be surprised that Obama and his advisors were careful to write the EO in such a manner as to exempt agencies under the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) from having to disclose documents that shed light on how this new management process actually functions.
As RedState notes, the EO states that “agencies should also allow predecisional involvement with unions in all workplace matters to the fullest extent practicable, without regard to whether those matters are negotiable subjects of bargaining under 5 U.S.C. 7106.”
….As dangerous and destructive as that decision is, I guess nobody should be surprised that Obama and his advisors were careful to write the EO in such a manner as to exempt agencies under the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) from having to disclose documents that shed light on how this new management process actually functions.
UK: Poll Shows Number of Global Warming Skeptics Has Doubled in Four Years…

The worm has turned.
(Daily Mail)- The number of climate change sceptics has almost doubled in four years, official research showed yesterday.
A quarter of Britons are unconvinced that the world is warming following successive freezing winters and a series of scandals over the credibility of climate science.
The figures suggest that a growing proportion of the public do not share the belief of all three major political parties and Whitehall – that climate change is a major and urgent challenge requiring radical and expensive policies.
The survey, carried out by the Office for National Statistics, has plotted levels of acceptance of the theory of man-made global warming since 2006.
In that year it found that 87 per cent of people were at least ‘fairly convinced’ that climate change was happening.
Last year that share had dropped to 75 per cent. Numbers who say they are unconvinced went up from 12 to 23 per cent.
The erosion of the public consensus behind global warming coincided with the ‘Climategate’ fiasco which came after damaging e-mails from the University of East Anglia were leaked in November 2009, and the arrival of another cold winter.
There were also setbacks for climate change advocates over flaws in UN reports on global warming and evidence that temperatures across the world have been falling.
Jihadi Work Accident: Female Suicide Bomber Planning to Attack Moscow on New Year’s Eve Killed When Cell Phone Text Message Set off Bomb Early…

Feel good story of the day.
(Telegraph)- A “Black Widow” suicide bomber planned a terrorist attack in central Moscow on New Year’s Eve but was killed when an unexpected text message set off her bomb too early, according to Russian security sources.
The unnamed woman, who is thought to be part of the same group that struck Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on Monday, intended to detonate a suicide belt on a busy square near Red Square on New Year’s Eve in an attack that could have killed hundreds.
Security sources believe a spam message from her mobile phone operator wishing her a happy new year received just hours before the planned attack triggered her suicide belt, killing her but nobody else.
She was at her Moscow safe house at the time getting ready with two accomplices, both of whom survived and were seen fleeing the scene.
Islamist terrorists in Russia often use cheap unused mobile phones as detonators. The bomber’s handler, who is usually watching their charge, sends the bomber a text message in order to set off his or her explosive belt at the moment when it is thought they can inflict maximum casualties.
The phones are usually kept switched off until the very last minute but in this case, Russian security sources believe, the terrorists were careless.
Egypt: Clashes Between Protesters and Security Forces Intensify…

Joe Biden unavailable for comment.
CAIRO — Violent protest spread across Cairo and other Egyptian cities on Friday as thousands of demonstrators intensified their campaign to oust President Hosni Mubarak, pouring from mosques after noon prayers and clashing with police who fired tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons.
The protests came after days and weeks of turmoil across the Arab world that has toppled one leader in Tunisia and encouraged protesters to overcome deep-rooted fears of their autocratic leaders and take to the streets. But Egypt is a special case — a heavyweight in Middle East diplomacy, in part because of its peace treaty with Israel, and a key ally of the United States.
In what protesters called a “day of wrath,” a crowd of at least 10,000 people moved east from Cairo’s Mohandeseen neighborhood, trying to reach the central Tahrir Square that has been an epicenter of protest. The demonstrations were on a scale far beyond anything in the memory of most residents.
Near Tahrir square, protesters set fire to a police truck as police lobbed tear gas to try to block access to a key bridge across the River Nile from the island of Zamalek. Some demonstrators stamped on photographs of the president and others chanted “Down, down with Mubarak.” The acrid stench of tear-gas spread across the capital reaching up the windows of high-rise buildings.
At Al Azhar in old Cairo, thousands of people poured from one of the most iconic mosques of Sunni Islam, chanting “The people want to bring down the regime.” Police fired tear gas and protesters hurled rocks as they sought to break though police lines. From balconies above the street, residents threw water and lemon to protesters whose eyes were streaming with tear gas.
Similar demonstrations were also reported in the cities of Suez, Alexandria and several others, including Al Arish in northern Sinai and Mansour in the Nile Delta region.
White House Says Obama Will Make Strong Push For Gun Control in Coming Weeks…

Like every other lefty, Obama detests the Second Amendment with a passion and would gladly revoke it if given the chance.
(Newsweek)- At the beginning of his State of the Union address, President Obama tipped his hat to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who’s now recuperating in a Houston medical facility. But throughout the hourlong speech, he never addressed the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedy—gun control—and what lawmakers would, or should, do to reform American firearm-access laws.
That was intentional, according to the White House. An administration official says Obama didn’t mention guns in his speech because of the omnipresent controversy surrounding the Second Amendment and gun control. Tuesday’s speech was designed to be more about the economy and how, as Obama repeated nine times, the U.S. could “win the future.”
But in the next two weeks, the White House will unveil a new gun-control effort in which it will urge Congress to strengthen current laws, which now allow some mentally unstable people, such as alleged Arizona shooter Jared Loughner, to obtain certain assault weapons, in some cases without even a background check.
Tuesday night after the speech, Obama adviser David Plouffe said to NBC News that the president would not let the moment after the Arizona shootings pass without pushing for some change in the law, to prevent another similar incident. “It’s a very important issue, and one I know there’s going to be debate about on the Hill.”
The White House said that to avoid being accused of capitalizing on the Arizona shootings for political gain, Obama will address the gun issue in a separate speech, likely early next month. He’s also expected to use Arizona as a starting point, but make the case that America’s gun laws have been too loose for much longer than just the past few weeks.

Joe Biden: Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is No Dictator, Protesters Demands Illegitimate…

Mubarak’s been in power for over 30 years, ruthlessly crushes dissent and only allows sham elections. Nope, definitely not a dictator.
(CS Monitor)- Vice President Joe Biden spoke to the PBS NewsHour tonight with the most direct US governent comments yet about the gathering Egypt protests against President Hosni Mubarak’s 29-year reign.
Mr. Biden’s comments are unlikely to be well-received by regime opponents, as they fit a narrative of steadfast US support for a government they want to bring down. About eight protesters and one policeman have died this week as Egypt has sought to bring down the heavy hand of the state against opponents. Since the US provides about $1.3 billion in military aid to Egypt a year, the repressive apparatus of the state is seen by many in Egypt as hand in glove with the US.
Tonight in Cairo, activists said that internet service was being systematically blocked, as was the use of instant messages on local cellphones, despite repeated calls from the US State Department for Egypt to allow social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to remain available to the nation’s people. Egypt is bracing for a showdown tomorrow. Organizers have called for massive protests against the regime after noon prayers on Friday, seeking to build on the unprecedented wave of public demonstrations this week calling for an end to Mubarak’s rule.
…Asked if he would characterize Mubarak as a dictator Biden responded: “Mubarak has been an ally of ours in a number of things. And he’s been very responsible on, relative to geopolitical interest in the region, the Middle East peace efforts; the actions Egypt has taken relative to normalizing relationship with – with Israel. … I would not refer to him as a dictator.”
He also appeared to make one of the famous Biden gaffes, in comments that could be interpreted as questioning the legitimacy of protesters’ demands. Monitor Cairo correspondent Kristen Chick, other reporters in the country, and activists have generally characterized the main calls of demonstrators as focused on freedom, democracy, an end to police torture, and a more committed government effort to address the poverty that aflicts millions of Egyptians.
Biden urged non-violence from both protesters and the government and said: “We’re encouraging the protesters to – as they assemble, do it peacefully. And we’re encouraging the government to act responsibly and – and to try to engage in a discussion as to what the legitimate claims being made are, if they are, and try to work them out.” He also said: “I think that what we should continue to do is to encourage reasonable… accommodation and discussion to try to resolve peacefully and amicably the concerns and claims made by those who have taken to the street. And those that are legitimate should be responded to because the economic well-being and the stability of Egypt rests upon that middle class buying into the future of Egypt.”
Egypt’s protesters, if they’re paying attention to Biden at all, will certainly be wondering which of their demands thus far have been illegitimate.
Chinese State TV Fakes Air Force Training Drill Using “Top Gun” Footage…

Xinwen lianbo, or News Broadcast, on China Central Television, comes under fire again for its report of an air force training exercise on January 23. In the newscast, the way a target was hit by the air-to-air missile fired by a J-10 fighter aircraft and exploded looks almost identical to a cinema scene from the Hollywood film Top Gun.
A net user who went by the name “刘毅” (Liu Yi) pointed out that the jet that the J-10 “hit” is an F-5, a US fighter jet. In Top Gun, what the leading actor Tom Cruise pilots an F-14 to bring down is exactly an F-5. Looking at the screenshots juxtaposition, one cannot fail to find that even flame, smoke and the way the splinters fly look the same.

Communist Group Take Credit For Bombing at Davos Economic Summit…
Or as Reuters calls them, “left-wing activists.”
Jan 27 (Reuters) - Left-wing activists claimed responsibility for a minor explosion on Thursday at a hotel in Davos, close to where top executives and world leaders were meeting, but nobody was hurt.
Devin Wenig, CEO of Thomson Reuters’ Markets division, was in a breakfast meeting of senior executives at the hotel when the explosion happened.
“A huge boom went off. The whole ceiling lifted. Everyone was convinced it was a bomb,” he said. “It took a half hour to reassemble the meeting.”
Participants were later told that a boiler had exploded, he added. The Forum’s main programme was not disrupted.
“I can confirm that there has been an explosion in a storage room in the basement of the hotel,” Thomas Hobi, a spokesman for the local police said. “There has been minor damage but nobody was injured.”
