Alaska Gov. Says Enacting ObamaCare May Violate Oath of Office…

Good question.

(WaPo) — Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell is asking his attorney general to advise him on whether implementing the federal health care overhaul would put Parnell in violation of his oath of office.

A federal judge in Florida this week struck down the law as unconstitutional in a case joined by 26 states, including Alaska. A major point of contention is a provision requiring citizens to buy health insurance.

Parnell says he took an oath to support and defend the constitutions of the United States and Alaska. While the Republican governor concedes the issue is expected to be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, he says he has a duty to uphold the law and wants the attorney general to advise him on what the duty is after the Florida ruling.

“I’m caught between a federal government that says, ‘You must pursue this, you must pursue this,’ and I have the duty to uphold the rule of law,” he said.

Go for the rule of law, Parnell. Whatever happens, you will have made a stand!
It is what Palin would have done!

Since when is bullying -> “You must pursue this, you must pursue this”; the rule of law?

In light of the judge’s ruling….that’s the right question to ask. Go for the ruling. Forget Obama.

Everything that comes out of Obamas mouth is somehow going to end up going against the constitution, so its a moot point.

When you know something is wrong, and you stand around debating it, youre part of the problem not the solution.

The rule of law is what the judge says! Not what Obama is peddling!
At least, I thought that was the meaning of the “rule of law”. Forget about listening to Obama. He has shown us time and again that he believes he is ABOVE the law.

Sounds like Gov. Sean Parnell has a real cool angle. Let’s all pray that this concept builds up some steam.

I honestly would have never thought that one individual, could inflict so much damage to a nation. I saw it coming, but not this soon.

    @bitter

You know why Obama is trying to align himself with REAGAN (laughable but true)? Because he knows damn well that Palin is more like Reagan than anyone else in the political spotlight. Obama is reading a book about Reagan. He is trying to parallel certain paragraphs in the book, to attempt to appear more Reaganesque, but, you either “get it” or you “don’t”. Obama and his goons dismiss anything “PALIN”, but underneath the smiles, they are worried.

That clip (link you posted) is excellent. I think we should suggest, as a fundraising idea–to have some rubber bracelets printed up– WWPD — (What Would Palin Do)
Charge a buck or two, apiece.

Smart legal play for every state governor to follow. Fiduciary irresponsiblity for any state governor not to do so.

Looks like the Obama admin is going for the sucker play by continuing implementation of Obamacare full steam. If a state accepts implementation of any one provision of Obamacare despite Vinson voiding the whole law, the DOJ can argue later that the state tactitly rejected Vinson’s ruling and affirmed the Obama admin’s position — all within the realm of state sovereignty.

The fuckers are trying to turn the 10th amendment back on the states.

    Damn, tacitly, not tactitly.

That is why Obama studied the Constitution; not to protect and defend– but to manipulate and circumvent — to confuse it’s meaning and expand it’s provisions.

I urge everybody reading this post to contact the Tenth Amendment Center and get on board with the Nullification Movement.

I also urge everybody to join DOWNSIZE DC (downsizedc.org).

Now is the time to fight the rapid encroachment of BIG GOVERNMENT. These people in power HATE you, your family and the Constitution.Never believe for one minute that they have your best interests in mind.
