New Ground Zero Mosque Imam No Longer New, Announces He’s Stepping Down…
So far he’s been on the record as saying “homosexuals are like animals,” apostates from Islam must be jailed and “true Muslims implement sharia law,” so we knew it was only a matter of time before he was shown the door.
(AP) — A Muslim scholar recently named as the new senior imam at the Islamic center being built near the World Trade Center has parted ways with the project.
Shaykh Abdallah Adhami said Friday in a joint statement with the center’s developer that he will no longer serve as a religious adviser to the center.
Adhami says he wants to devote his time to completing a book on the Quran.
The 44-year-old had been announced as the imam at the center last month after the departure of project co-founder Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf.
His appointment was followed by news reports questioning his views on homosexuality.
Islamic center developer Sharif El-Gamal says he still hoped Adhami would lead prayers at the facility from time to time.

It should be telling that they can’t bring in one prominent figurehead imam that isn’t on the record making deplorable statements. If only someone in the media would wake up and say, “Hmmm…maybe these so-called “extreme” sentiments are actually the norm in Islam”.
Find me an imam who isn’t on the record slamming Jews/apostates/gays, and I’ll show you an imam who will be charged with apostasy.

It’s long past wake-up time for everybody in the West: this shouldn’t be about which imam (spouting the truth about Sharia) should be the front-man for this mosque con, nor should it be about location, location, location. Islam and Moslems are a clear and present danger and threat to our freedoms, values, laws, Constitution, government and nation.
