ElBaradei: “The Israelis Have A Peace Treaty With Mubarak, Not With The Egyptian People”…

Someone’s spots are beginning to show.
Comments & pings are closed.(Business Insider)- Mohamed ElBaradei, one of the key leaders of Egypt’s protest movement, has brought his country’s peace treaty with Israel into doubt in an interview with Der Spiegel.
From the Der Spiegel Interview:
SPIEGEL: Are you now saying that a government that included participation by the Muslim Brotherhood would continue on with Mubarak’s policies toward Israel?
ElBaradei: No. Something the Israelis also need to grasp is that it’s impossible to make peace with a single man. At the moment, they have a peace treaty with Mubarak, but not one with the Egyptian people. The Israelis should understand that it is in their long-term interest to have a democratic Egypt as a neighbor, and that it is prudent to acknowledge the legitimate interests of the Palestinians and to grant them their own state.
What ElBaradei is saying isn’t exactly surprising. He’s suggesting a more democratic government in Egypt would reflect Egyptian opinion and public sentiment, which is that Israel should do more to remove itself from Palestine and allow it to become an independent state.

Since El Baradei is the shill for “Muslim Brotherhood,” I suggest he show real Muslim Brotherhood and take in all the Egyptians who are currently cluttering up Israel’s land in Gaza.
And nobody seen this coming?
That democratic paint is starting to wash off. Better call facto-bake.
But let me assure you our resident trolls said Mubarak was a ruthless secularist thug like Saddam[Never mind saddam had a blood quran].
Can you say “Israeli Preemptive Strike”?
Da Joos would be well advised to turn all of these muzzie states into glass PDQ.
I hope this guy gets molested by an Scorpion who then accidentally stings his tiny pee-pee.
Now you know why Iran was able to get their nuke!
Just another reason to hate the useless nations. Pond scum in the middle of the desert.
ElBaradei needs to wake up. If they go on the offensive with Israel, there will be no more Egypt.
“Israel should do more to remove itself from Palestine and allow it to become an independent state.”
Only problem with that is that they (the arabs) believe that Palestine goes from Lebanon to the Sinai and the Med to Syria/Jordan. So, he’s being accurate to his beliefs. He wants the Jews out of Israel. Its been quite a while since the Israelis kicked some arab ass on a large scale. It’s coming now.
Elbaradei, those kind of words will have consequences, you better choose them more wisely.
Beware of what you seem to be wishing for, after all Egypt has a critical and soft underbelly, it is called the Aswan dam. The dam has become critical to the Egyptian infrastructure and economy with a dam that holds back lake Nassar at over 2,000 Sq. miles and a 2100 megawatt powerplant you better re-think your Muslim Brotherhood attitude.
I guess the Egyptian people want their asses kicked again.
“Israel should do more to remove itself from Palestine and allow it to become an independent state.”
NO!
Arabs should do more to remove themselves from Israel
“At the moment, they have a peace treaty with Mubarak, but not one with the Egyptian people.”
What the Israeli Jewish Right has been saying ever since the peace treaty was signed. The leaders in the Muslim world are willing to postpone war with Israel, even for decades, out of self-interest (all the bribes, oops, I mean, aid money paid them); the masses in the Muslim world would like nothing better but Jihad Right Here, Right Now (regardless of what one Leftist who managed to worm his way into the roster of PJM columnists thinks about this idea).
“…and that it is prudent to acknowledge the legitimate interests of the Palestinians and to grant them their own state … Israel should do more to remove itself from Palestine and allow it to become an independent state.”
Newsflash to all Islamic imperialists and their useful idiot Leftist enablers:
The Jews are the Palestinian nation, the one and only true such; Israel is Palestine. Arab imperialists, meaning Muslims, will have to make do with what little they have (21 states on a huge mass of land on the globe, with a load of oil at that).
if the muslim mongrel wants war we are ready
hilarious! you quote el baradei accurately, but totally miss what he is saying. it seems pretty clear to me that el baradei is criticizing israel for acting as if it only has a treaty with mubarak, thus jeopardizing their entire peace by insisting that mubarak stay even though he is clearly done for.
which does not mean that el baradei wants to ditch the camp david accords. on the contrary, he’s warning israel to stop screwing it up. you may not agree with what el baradei, but at the very least you should react to what he is clearly trying to say and not some bizzarro spin in a half-assed effort to prove that he is some sinister figure.
