   When Jessica Seinfeld came out with her cookbook, Deceptively Delicious, women in the media were outraged–OUTRAGED!–at the thought of deliberately deceiving children by sneaking veggies into their mac ‘n cheese.     … and it still makes me mad that my taxpayer dollars pay for ads to be produced and for the cost of air time… can we tell the Congress to write legislation to forbid such propaganda advertising at the taxpayer’s expense?

    The fact that Michelle and others don’t even see anything wrong with this — she even labels it “cute” — illustrates their moral poverty. The most basic principle of morality is that good ends do not justify evil means.

    I, and every other parent I know, punish lying by our kids more severely than we punish anything else — because if we can’t TRUST what they tell us, we are sunk.

    Now here we’ve got the First Lady telling PARENTS to engage in precisely that wicked behavior that we’re constantly trying to impress upon our kids NOT to ever do.

    But it is all of a piece with the rest of the Left’s ideology and methods: The Left is all about setting parents and their children against each other. From the Soviets’ and Nazis’ training kids to snitch on their own parents, to the American Left counseling women to see their own children as their enemy and kill them before birth, the Left’s mantra of “bring the war home” includes bringing it all the way home into the very heart of one’s own family.

    Maggie, I know the term of which you speak. I always heard it called “Southern ingenuity,” but that seems to imply a type of rigging that works.

    I don’t even know where to start on this PSA. She and her husband are so out of touch, not only with this country in general, but with the constituency that supports and even worships them.
