God help me I love a politician with a brain. It’s like seeing a unicorn or a leprechaun.
The warped perversion of multiculturalism may have worked to some degree if you were not dealing with Islam.
The perversion of Multiculturalism shows its Achilles Tendon when it tries to accommodate a different culture or ideology by substituting its own established and intrinsic values and traditions for theirs.
In the case of Islam, it is kind of like trying to put a square peg into a round hole.
leaders like Cameron,Merkel, and Zarkozy have finally come out and spoken out that multiculturalism and political correctness are dismal failures when dealing with non assimilating Islam in their countries.
Will we hear something like that from Obama? Very doubtful given his appeasing track record on Islam.
Allen West is like a breath of fresh air in the politics of this nation, at a time
where he is sorely needed. As a disabled vet, I’ll have his back as much as I can.
Now THIS is Presidential material!!!
You may have to start an Allen West Channel….all Allen all the time.
With Allen West (P) and Mike Pence (VP) on the same paragraph on the same page, well, we could possibly restore America’s greatest in less than 8 years. Of course we’ll need more T.E.A. party wins at national, state, and local levels to give the support they need.
We could use an Allen West channel to undo the socialist indoctrination and to counter the constant flow of whining and nagging.

How un-RonPaulish of the man (quickly becoming the legend).
Paulnuts to accuse him of being an impeiralist warmongerer in 5…4…3…2…1…
As most believe, West would make an excellent President and he would take the race card from the lib bag of tricks. I hope he runs.
I also hope that the also ran’s from 2008 ( Palin, Huckleberry, Romney) and the guy’s with no chance (Pawlenty) stand down and not muck up the process. None of them are Pres material, it is obvious.
Liberals, don’t think we’re gonna forget which side you chose.
.
There are so many exciting new faces in the Repub party, Allen West at the top of the list.
Now ask yourself, who are the exciting new faces in the Dem party? There aren’t any!!!!
Multiculturalism is about denying the essential foundational values, laws and rights of the ‘host’ society, to the advantage of usurping, invading, parasitic, lower-quality ‘cultures.’ What West, and every politician who is now scurrying to distance themselves from multiculturalism, needs to say is: NO, you do not permit ‘immigration’ of inferior cultures and peoples who have an ideology dedicated to our (i.e. American, European, Western) nations. IMMIGRATION CONTROL should be the real issue because, with the present Middle East crisis, you can bet the farm that Hussain Obama and his regime are intent on granting ‘refugee’/'student’/'highly skilled professionals’ visas to MILLIONS of people who will help to fundamentally, and permanently, change the US forever.
Sorry, meant to say NO, you do not permit ‘immigration’ of inferior cultures and peoples who have an ideology dedicated to our (i.e. American, European, Western) nations’ DESTRUCTION.
West has said he won’t consider running for prez OR veep in ’12.
I’d crawl over broken glass to follow him into battle, but he needs some serious lessons in econ. Most of us were so thunderstruck by his commonsense in most of the stuff he addressed and passionate delivery, it was hard to admit he came out for the following milquetoast suggestions of the GOP Establishment. This is a succint compilation one astute commenter posted about West’s economic statements (at HA):
He is losing me already.
1) Fixing the Doughnut hole. The whole idea that government is paying for medical drugs for people is not conservative, and here he says that increasing these payments is good. Not on my dime.
2) Pre-existing conditions. Once you include those, it is no longer health insurance, but a transfer of costs scheme and you can only control costs by forcing everyone to be participants. Hence, the individual mandate. Pre-existing conditions are almost always picked up by insurance carriers after a waiting period, I think typically three years, you are responsible for all costs on your pre-existing condition for that duration. Here again, he is on the wrong side, and I say, not on my dime.
3) Keeping kids on the parents insurance plan until they are 26. Once again, if this was what parents wanted, and it was financially beneficial to them, then insurance companies would offer this. Why is the government mandating what exactly insurance companies should be offering to the market? Again, on the wrong side and again, not on my dime.
4) Blames Glass-Steigal as part of the reason why we had a financial crisis. Almost all studies have shown this to be bogus, that it was not a contributor, because even with the removal of glass-steigal corporations kept both aspects separate. He even then goes on to say that if the government would stay out of the way of the private sector the crisis would not have occurred.
5) Corporate tax rate from 35% to 20%. Why? The consumer pays that tax no matter what the rate is, and the consumer is already taxed on their income. Corporate tax rate should be 0%.
6) Cap federal spending at 18-20%. Once again, there has never been a decade in which the government has ever been able to tax more than 19% no matter what the rates were. The ideal size of government therefore is significantly lower than that 19%. I think that it is closer to 10% to 12% with exceptions for time of war. He seems to think today’s government is hunky dory and well within the constitutional boundary?
7) Throwing a balanced budget amendment on top of a spending cap seems redundant and ripe for use as a way to move taxes more and more onto the top 10%. There are three ways to balance a budget, spending cuts, tax increases or a combination, two of which include increased taxes. Wrong again. The simple spending cap is sufficient, but should be lower than his proposal. Follow with a flat tax that makes all citizens, particularly those in INCOME RANGE actually pay our fair share of the budget.
He seems like a very great guy, and a warrior for the cause, but his speech left me significantly wanting as far as having him be a leader of the cause. He still has much to learn about what the constitutional limits he professed to believing we adhere to really are. He has much to learn about what government interference in the private sector is. Again, great speech over all, but certainly does not give me a good feeling about him being a contender for President of the United States of America. Just too many progressive ideas in his mind that he sees as conservative yet.
—————————————————————————————————That said, it wouldn’t be hard for Col West to absorb “free-market principles” from someone like Thomas Sowell or Art Laffer in a crash course on Econ 101. The above items are the same things the establishment repubs are pushing. Beige, not bold. We’re at crunch time. We need bold. Did you know one of Reagan’s undergrad degrees was in econ?
Finally, the West CPAC speech (at 36 minutes) video is NOT the entire speech. This is what C-SPAN aired. C-SPAN cut the last few minutes to air Ogabe making some statement! I saw this in a comment and made a point of watching the rebroadcast late Saturday night. If anyone can track it down and let ZIP know, West’s final points were equal to or even more outstanding than what we’ve heard so far.
Sorry for the long post, but we NEED a man like Col. West — and it wouldn’t take much to make him the perfect candidate.
If the other incoming reps are half as thoughtful and patriotic as West, we can have some excellent focus from the House.
Give West a few years to get some experience in government first, then he’ll be ready for 2016. In the meantime, Rubio and Palin get my vote. C’mon on, just imagine the debates with Biteme and ChicagoJesus.
If we could get West to Run for CIC in 2012, we would be going in the right direction.
Now this guy gives me a tingle up my leg! Love love love!
I wonder how Chris Matthews feels about him. LOL Oh, I already know the answer, I’m just feeling silly today.
Surely an intelligent, truthful politician is a miracle. Can we get him sainted? What about cloned?
