Hillary: Israeli settlements “illegitimate”
I am certain that Hillary has seen her fair share of illegitimates, however I am equally certain that this is not one of them.
(ABC News) — Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called Israeli settlements “illegitimate” shortly before the United States vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning continued Israeli settlement expansion as illegal.
In an exclusive interview with “This Week” anchor Christiane Amanpour taped on Friday afternoon, Clinton said, “I think it is absolutely clear to say, number one, that it’s been American policy for many years that settlements were illegitimate and it is the continuing goal and highest priority of the Obama administration to keep working toward a two-state solution with both Israelis and Palestinians.”
The U.N. resolution failed as a result of the United States’ veto. The Security Council vote was 14 countries in favor of the resolution and one country, the United States, opposed. Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said that the resolution risked harming the peace process.
“It is the Israelis’ and Palestinians’ conflict, and even the best-intentioned outsiders cannot resolve it for them,” Rice said after the vote at U.N. headquarters in New York City. “Therefore, every potential action must be measured against one overriding standard: Will it move the parties closer to negotiations and an agreement?
“Unfortunately,” she added, “this draft resolution risks hardening the positions of both sides. It could encourage the parties to stay out of negotiations and, if and when they did resume, to return to the Security Council whenever they reach an impasse.”
In December 2010, Clinton took a similarly harsh line against continued Israeli settlements.
“We do not accept the legitimacy of continued settlement activity,” she said in a speech at the Brookings Institution. “We believe their continued expansion is corrosive not only to peace efforts and two-state solution, but to Israel’s future itself.”

According to debka.com, Egypt has permitted Iranian naval ships to transit the Suez canal. The report states the ships carry heavy duty guided missiles bound for Lebanon. Iran having any control of or input in the Suez canal would severely limit US naval moves from the Persian gulf. Of course The Obama administration won’t lift a finger to help Israel. God help us all!

I still remember when I lived in New York. Many of my fellow Jews claimed she would make a great Senator because of her deep commitment to Israel. It was bullshit then and it’s bullshit now. No Clinton has ever been a true friend to anyone but themselves.

I am beginning to agree. I think Obama was worried about her, and put her in a position with some power, although she is only allowed to do what he tells her to do. That was to appease her followers and to make sure “his friends were close and enemies were closer, PERIOD! (Clintons proved to be harder to overcome than others, and had to be neutralized.) As far as other positions, like Joe as VP, Janet as Homeland Security, Clapper (one of several) as National Intelligence, and other “this and that” positions,,, Obama appointed individuals who could easily be pushed around and controlled, and who would never dare have a thought of their own. Those were the people who would play those parts better than Jeff Dunham’s “dummies”. It would be harder to keep Hilly’s mouth shut. She would have been criticizing and undercutting him at every-turn, if she would have still be Senator. The only cure for the Clinton’s was to neuter Hill, and give Bill plenty of opportunities to be in front of the camera and “TALK”! How easy was that!
