New York: Black and Puerto Rican Lawmakers Chant “Tax the Rich” During Governor Cuomo Speech…

Leftist class warfare at its finest.
Comments & pings are closed.ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo’s speech on Sunday night to the Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators was interrupted with chants of “Tax the rich!” led by City Councilman Charles Barron.
Cuomo received a warm welcome as he began to address the group, but within moments Barron (D-Brooklyn) did a Kanye West and stole the spotlight.
“Shame on you,” Barron yelled at Cuomo after walking from the back of the Albany Convention Center to the front.
“Stop the cuts,” Barron said.
“How are you tonight, Charles?” Cuomo said to Barron after the interruption. “I can’t see who it is, but I know who it is.”
Barron, a known rabble-rouser, seized the moment, yelling, “Tax the rich!”
Soon the chant caught on with a small but vocal group in the crowd of more than 500.
Cuomo’s budget calls for deep cuts to education and health care spending to close the state’s $10 billion deficit. He also opposes extension of the state’s so-called millionaire’s tax, which expires at the end of the year.
Barron and many Democratic legislators want the tax extended to help blunt many of Cuomo’s proposed cuts.
Earlier, Barron described Cuomo’s budget as Draconian.
“It is cutting us to the bone,” Barron told the Daily News. “Tax the rich. Don’t come to the table saying the only thing you’re going to do is cut.”
The Rev. Al Sharpton also criticized Cuomo’s budget and urged lawmakers to oppose it.

Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators – PURE RACISM
how many of their constituents get tax credits and pay NO taxes. F*cking leeches
Stop giving all are money away to illegal immigrants and lazy Muslim.
Do that and most budgets will fix themselves.
It’s so easy even a caveman(not alan grayson) could do it.
The left is out in the open now and it is ugly. Take a good look America. These people hate capitalism, but they sure do love capitalists’ money! There is inequality in America – inequality of effort.
Maybe we should start the Collision of Caucasian Conservatives and see how long it takes for us to be called the KKK?
Just try and make a collision for the advancement of Caucasian Americans and watch the left’s head explode over racism.
Could be fun.. Maybe I’ll start one. Give out grants for college students to Conservative schools.
Hold town halls and make a Caucasian Chamber of Commerce.
Start fighting against affirmative action and make company’s hire Caucasians or we will label them racist and so forth.
Protest in Washington for lack of recognition for Caucasian and what they have achieved for America.
Hold Rallies and push for a White American History Month. All that good stuff.
Also federal aid for our group we are a non-profit organization and therefore deserve federal handouts.
The Collision of Poor Caucasians funds the list is enlist.
Turn all this Black, Hispanic Muslim only crap right back at them.
Are those retards aware that the rich elites are the union workers? Good luck asking the entitled Union crowd to cut back alas they hold the taxpayer’s hostage whilst raping our pocket books to keep themselves in the uppity elite manner they’ve become accustomed to on our dime of course.
Gov Cuomo should issue a special tax against income earned by gangsta’ rockers, basketball and football players. 95% sounds fair to me.
@MADGirl…
I like that idea… then they won’t spend their money on foolish things
Hoist on his own petard…
Cuomo was the scumbag HUD Secretary under Clinton that used the power of federal lawsuits to coerce the big banks like BofA and Citi in 1998 to make $2Billion in loans to “low income” minority loan applicants.
Watch him crow about it in the video here:

This was at the same time that Dems were taking over Freddie and Fannie and paving the way for the mortgage boom/bust crisis while making a personal killing.
Follow the money– from Wikipedia:
“Several executives of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac include Kenneth Duberstein, former Chief of Staff to President Reagan, advisor to John McCain’s Presidential Campaign in 2000, and President George W. Bush’s transition team leader (Fannie Mae board member 1998-2007);[30] Franklin Raines, former Budget Director for President Clinton, CEO from 1999 to 2004—statements about his role as an advisor to the Obama presidential campaign have been determined to be false;[31] James Johnson, former aide to Democratic Vice-President Walter Mondale and ex-head of Obama’s Vice-Presidential Selection Committee, CEO from 1991 to 1998; and Jamie Gorelick, former Deputy Attorney General to President Clinton, and Vice-Chairman from 1998 to 2003. In his position, Johnson earned an estimated $21 million; Raines earned an estimated $90 million; and Gorelick earned an estimated $26 million.[32] Three of these four top executives were also involved in mortgage-related financial scandals.”
Now those same agitators who pushed for those bogus home loans are criticizing him when he has a government role where he must balance the books. And the “rich” that the agitators want to tax are no longer pulling in the same amount of bread, or they have left NY because of its tax rates.
Caught between a rock and the hard place of his own creation.
LMAO
Guess who really pays all the taxes in New York? You guessed it, the rich. But there are many of them that are fed up being the supporters of this giant nanny state and our moving their businesses elsewhere to try and maintain a profit margin for their company and its employees (that’s called jobs).
So am I getting this straight? The only acceptable way to fix state budgets is to levy huge taxes on wealthy white men, but no cuts or taxes on anyone else, right? And then, after we have broken the backs of big business, may I ask who is going to employ us?
I watched this happen to International Harvester back in the late 70′s-early 80′s. Unions demanded more and more till they shut them down, putting everyone out of work and the area was at 13% unemployment.
Now wait a minute fellas….tax the rich would not just apply to white folks, thin of all those Hollywood and Motown Hip Hop Jitterbugs and pro athletes in the NBA and NFL, which is primarily comprised of black folk. Tax the shit out of them…they shouldn’t have issue with helping to support their community of leeches.
those dumb bastards don’t realize that rich people are mobile and will move from NY if the taxes get too high. this is the reason rush now runs his radio show all the time from fla because the state of NY tried to tax him.
Now you know why LeBron snubbed NY State..
As a middle class, Puerto Rican New Yorker (i.e., taxpayer) I am completely disgusted.
I think it was Churchill that said, “You don’t make the poor richer by making the rich poorer.”
This is sickening.
rev? al has guts as he never pays his taxes and owns hundreds od thousands of $$$ to the govt. and those chicken shits in govt. are afraid to clamp down on him. anyone ever seen al or jessie degree from the bible college ??
Its not just white folks who are rich..
I personally want them to tax the rich, Walker and Christie to increase taxes. That way the rich and business will move and take their jobs with them. Hopefully some of them will move to my state.
My first job 16 years ago was from a large company who relocated a portion of their business from Mass. to escape the taxes and I am thankful for it.
What we CANNOT have happen in the United States is a VAT. Congress will be able to raise taxes and no one would notice.
FLAT TAX…
Everyone pays their fair share, as it should be, including the illegals. Think of all those unemployed IRS agents, that alone would send a couple of billion back towards balancing the budget.
Leftist eating their own..fun, fun, fun.
They taxed all the rich in NY, and they went to Florida.
There’s this comment on the NYDN by someone BigJake, which I’ve not verified. But if it’s true (he does provide a source), it’s an eye opener in a very scary way. here goes:
