Hi everybody! I was just there and I was right there when this report happened. I saw exactly what happened. Nobody hit that reporter. Wonder why they cut away and don’t show the clip? It’s because it flat out didn’t happen. If it happened, I guarantee you they would have shown the clip. There were hundreds of police around who could have/would have arrested anyone who assaulted a reporter. Hear what they’re shouting in the background? Fox news lies!
might be nice to have a couple armed guards for non-MSM reporters. See what the union pussies do with strength in their face

We can see their civility and peacefulness in pushing their signs in front of the reporter while doing his clip. You perhaps need a law class in what actually can constitute assault and battery.

I’ve been at the protests today and before, and they’ve been peaceful. If one person does something questionable, that should be reprimanded. But that doesn’t change the fact that acts like those are outliers – not representative of how everyone else is behaving. There are signs everywhere, non-violence trainings, and Marshalls that all actively encourage peaceful protest.
Plus, when the FoxNews reporter was asked by a new female anchor if he was hit by a protestor and he eplied that he was hit once maybe twice in the arm and that it’s been all over the internet and Twitter, “blown out of proportion,” but it was “nothing really.”"
They’re scared, they know they are losing the battle and this is all they have left. However all it’s going to do is turn more people against them, which frankly is a blessing. I think this was long overdue and needed to happen.

The reason they are so angry at him is that he is lying. I was there yesterday with 100K people. Totally positive, totally peaceful, I didn’t see hate on anyone’s face. We danced to polka music and listened to Peter Yarrow. So, if this man is going to stand there an lie in the middle of a crowd, and the worst they do is block his camera. . . then I just have to laugh at FOX News. Seriously.
Wow, you know I thought people were exaggerating when they say, “FoxNews lies.” But man, oh, man, they really do! These protests have drawn 10s of thousands of people of all ages from all over Wisconsin, and have been astoundingly peaceful and happy. It makes us feel good to be together. Yes, people are angry at Gov. Walker for acting like a dictator, and angry at the Republicans who aren’t representing them well at all in he legislature. But the tone inside and outside the capitol has been peaceful and welcoming to all, protesters side by side with the police. It’s also amazingly clean in the capitol, even after 14 days of continous sleepovers in the halls and rotunda.
It is true that Fox News cameras get surrounded while everyone yells, “Tell the truth! Tell the truth!” You know, people don’t like being lied to.

PS I mean this in all seriousness. I am not in a union, but calling people thugs? I mean, C’mon. Wisconsin folks are nice — the protests have been extremely civil. I brought my 7 year old son with absolutely no fear, and he had a great time learning how we do democracy.
You can try to paint the protestors in ugly colors, but it doesn’t change who & what they really are. If any of you spreading this type of hate are religious sorts, then you are going to have some explaining to do, that’s all I’m saying.

As for “vitriol against the media,” there was no “vitriol” against any media except Fox News. A popular sign being carried around the march was “Fox News Will Lie About This.” You can find numerous videos of reporters being treated cordially at this rally. But there is understandable skepticism about Fox News’ ability to report on the events without twisting the facts around.
