NBC News: Governor Walker Supporters Are White, Uneducated, Unemployed Blue-Collar Workers Lashing out at Unions…

They left out clinging to their guns and religion.

CHUCK TODD: They [in the Obama admin] know it’s a swing state, they know that this is, that there has been ratcheted-up rhetoric against government workers. Forget whether the pension thing, but during this low-unemployment crisis, and they know that this is really an effective message strategy, particularly with non-college educated, sort of white blue-collar workers who are frustrated that they can’t find a job, or frustrated by the lack of manufacturing jobs, and are willing to lash out at government workers.

Wait, I thought that’s what the left wanted. That the unemployed should rise up and make demands, get riled up, get in their faces! Not so comfortable when the shoe is on the other foot, is it?

When the country is nearly 70% …”white”…

its hard… NOT … to have white people angry…

No, it’s two thirds of the 8th graders who are the uneducated in WS.

Could it be that the parents of these kids are fed up with paying those teachers to dumb their kids down?

Chuck Todd makes a huge slip-up here:
“blue-collar workers who are frustrated that they can’t find a job, or frustrated by the lack of manufacturing jobs…”

Why is that, Chuck? Why can’t we dumb Neanderthals find a job? Hmmm? Who is running the country, Chuck? What is the state of the economy, Chuck? Tell us about rising food, gas, clothing prices, Chuck. Tell us about unemployment and foreclosures, Chuck.
Who had control of all branches of government for two years, Chuck?

  13. deez says:
    February 28, 2011 at 11:20 am

Why aren’t the non-white unemployed uneducated blue-collar workers also out there with them?

Oh yeah–they must not be “frustrated that they can’t find a job” and are happy to live off the state.

So there it is, straight from the horse’s mouth. He has just admitted that the “poor”, blue collar worker (also known as the little people to the left) is on the side of the Republicans.

I always thought that it was the Democrats who had the corner of the market on the blue collar vote?!?! Isn’t it them that always crow on and on about how they represent these very people that Chuck Todd is referring to?!?!

Once again, the reality is exposed for all to see. Dem’s don’t represent anyone but themselves. It is power they wish to attain through the hand outs which essentially enslave segments of the population for the scraps from the government table in order to entrench that very power.

Eventually, people got tired of the protesters. The birth of the Silent Majority who no longer was silent. It is history repeating itself.

Why wouldn’t they be mad at government workers. It is the government who chased all the jobs out of the country.
How is being mad at the reason for the sad state of the economy uneducated? Just the opposite, they have a strong grasp of the obvious. There can be no improvement as long as the government takes all the earnings, and lets them keep enough to slowly bleed to death.

Toyota never put a gun to GM’s head and demanded they move to mexico, that was the government workers who decided that they should pay them twice what they give the workers who actually make the cars, forcing them out of the country.
It wasn’t mexican migrant workers who cut the water off to the farmers in Sothern Cal. It was government workers who couldn’t care less if crops can’t grow without water. But can ask for more money when the farmers need to apply for food stamps because their fields are barren dust bowls.

Yes, the blue collar idiots have it right, just took them a little longer than the educated ones. But much shorter than the ‘elite government’ workers who still don’t get it. They are broke, and can’t comprehend that means no money in the bank for themselves, or enyone else.

Even the slave ship captains could figure out you couldn’t feed a ship load of 400 with food for 350. They understood, you throw 50 overboard now, or have none when you get there. It is really simple math. 350 is better than zero.

Wow!! Is NBC way off base. My husband and I both have a 4 yr degree and everyone else that I know of who agrees with Walker is both educated and working. Their occupations range from CEO, CFO, Accounting Manager, Sales Manager, IT, Purchasing Agent, and many many more. We are all tax payers in the private sector who are sick and tired of unions and their bullshit. A few of the people I know who are in unions or were are on Walker’s side. There are actually more supporters for Walker than the Unions, but we are unable to camp out at the Capitol because we all have to WORK and take care of our families. How many of those people who are at the Capitol are actually employed and are they really residents of Wisconsin or are they just paid by the unions. Go Walker Go!!!!!! Make everyone who voted for you proud to be a Wisconsin Resident!!!

I recently graduated from the number one public institution in the nation; I am half black; I worked as an assembly (or ‘blue collar’) worker during college and I was laid off (from my ‘white collar’ job) due to downsizing… What is it with you people? First, Walker supporters represent the interests of the “upper class” and now we are “uneducated” and essentially ‘stupid’?

Workers in every social class have faced job insecurity and lay offs. The only way to sustain government jobs and benefits would be to raise taxes. So, let’s raise taxes on the individuals and small businesses who’ve faced significant hardships so that government workers won’t feel the effects of the poor economy. Oh yes, that makes so much sense. Really?

I pay for my benefits… why should should I pay for yours too?
