Wisconsin Dem to Female Republican Rep. After Budget Vote: “You Are F*cking Dead!”…

Because nothing says “I’m a progressive” like threatening to kill someone you disagree with politically.

(WTMJ) — Last week, we heard that State Rep. Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) had been busted in a prostitution sting.

Last Friday. . . . after the Assembly voted to engross the Budget Repair Bill, Hintz turned to a female colleague, Rep. Michelle Litjens and said: “You are f***king dead!”

New tone, indeed. Will he be held accountable?

Obama: Public Union Workers Are Being “Vilified” — UPDATE: Vid Added

Could have fooled me. Last time I checked these “vilified” protesters are carrying signs depicting Walker as Hitler, attacking Tea Partiers and issuing death-threats just to name a few.

(The Hill) — President Obama warned Monday against vilifying public workers, making his first allusion to the labor dispute in Wisconsin in a week and a half.

The president, speaking Monday to a group of governors at the White House, warned against using public servants as scapegoats, a not-so-subtle reference to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) pursuit of legislation that would eliminate collective bargaining rights for public workers.

“I don’t think it does anybody any good when public servants are denigrated, or vilified, or have their rights infringed upon,” Obama said.

The president’s been largely silent on the labor dispute, which has prompted weeks of demonstrations in Madison by pro-labor crowds, since saying on Feb. 17 that Walker’s plan represents an “assault on unions.”

Some Democrats had clamored for more a more vocal stance by Obama on behalf of pro-labor forces in Wisconsin, but amid major international developments in Libya over the past week, the president has largely let surrogates — Vice President Biden and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis — take the lead on the issue.

Kiss of Death: Obama Says Mitt Romney Should “Be Proud” on RomneyCare…

No, no he shouldn’t.

(The Hill) — President Obama pointedly praised on Monday the healthcare program Republican Mitt Romney installed as governor of Massachusetts.

Obama singled out Romney for praise over his healthcare plan, which shares similarities with the president’s own healthcare reform law, in a bit of backhanded praise for the likely Republican presidential candidate.

“I agree with Mitt Romney, who’s recently said he’s proud of what he accomplished in Massachusetts,” Obama said at a gathering of governors at the White House.

Romney’s wrestled with how to present a defense of his plan to potential primary voters. He’s said that, given the chance, he might not pursue all of the same reforms, and last week his spokesman said that Romney was proud of having made an attempt at healthcare reform.

Pic of the Day…

Union protester or beached whale?

Ironically, this is how most unions goons spend their days at work.

MADISON, WI — FEBRUARY 27: Hallis Mailen sleep in the capitol rotunda as a round-the-clock protest over the proposed Budget Repair bill continues on February 27, 2011 in Madison, Wisconsin. Demonstrators have occupied the building’s interior for the past 13 days protesting Governor Scott Walker’s attempt to push through the bill that would restrict collective bargaining for most government workers in the state. Planned Parenthood Shells out $200K on TV Ads Urging Congress Not to Cut Its Federal Funding…

Which begs the obvious question: If they have $200K to drop on TV ads, then how badly do they really need federal funding?

Via NRO:

In Mike Allen’s morning newsletter, we learn Planned Parenthood will spend $200,000 on television ads, urging Congress to not cut federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

You know, folks, if you can afford to spend $200,000 on television ads, maybe you don’t need all of that federal funding.

Here’s the ad, which conveniently leaves out their main business, killing the unborn:

NBC News: Governor Walker Supporters Are White, Uneducated, Unemployed Blue-Collar Workers Lashing out at Unions…

They left out clinging to their guns and religion.

CHUCK TODD: They [in the Obama admin] know it’s a swing state, they know that this is, that there has been ratcheted-up rhetoric against government workers. Forget whether the pension thing, but during this low-unemployment crisis, and they know that this is really an effective message strategy, particularly with non-college educated, sort of white blue-collar workers who are frustrated that they can’t find a job, or frustrated by the lack of manufacturing jobs, and are willing to lash out at government workers.

Nigeria: Muslim Gunmen Storm Christian Village Killing Mother and Four Children…

In case you were wondering, this has nothing to do with Islam.

JOS, Nigeria (AFP) — An overnight attack has killed at least four people in tense central Nigeria, a region regularly hit by violence between Christian and Muslim ethnic groups, the military said Monday.

The pre-dawn attack occured in Dabwak, a mainly Christian village near the flashpoint city of Jos.

“There are four killed,” Brigadier General Hassan Umaru, commander of a military unit deployed in the area, told AFP.

Locals said five people — a mother and four children — were shot and killed, blaming Fulani Muslims for the attack.

“It’s the Fulanis that came shooting. They killed . . . my mother-in-law, three of my brothers-in-law and my sister-in-law,” said a woman before breaking down on the phone and hanging up.

Classy: New York Magazine Uses “Piss Christ” Photographer for Karl Rove Piece…

Lest there be any doubt where their sympathies lie.

(Politico) — A source points out that the photographer credited with New York Magazine’s not-terribly-flattering portrait of Karl Rove is one Andres Serrano.

And if that name sounds vaguely familiar to political types, it’s because his most notorious work is “Piss Christ,” which helped trigger a major flap around the National Endowment for the Arts in the late 1980s.

Hamas Tells UN: Teaching the Holocaust Poisons Children’s Minds

I’d say that teaching ISLAM poisons children’s minds more. But that’s just me.

(The Guardian) — Hamas has vowed to stop the United Nations teaching children in Gaza about the Holocaust, saying it will poison their minds.

The history of the Holocaust is planned to be included as part of a human rights curriculum in schools run by the UN Relief and Works Agency, which is responsible for the welfare of Palestinian refugees. More than 200,000 children attend UNRWA schools in Gaza.

Hamas, the Islamist organisation that runs Gaza, has said it will do all it can to stop the teaching of Holocaust studies.

“We cannot agree to a programme that is intended to poison the minds of our children,” said a statement from the ministry for refugee affairs.

“Holocaust studies in refugee camps is a contemptible plot and serves the Zionist entity with a goal of creating a reality and telling stories in order to justify acts of slaughter against the Palestinian people.”

It said UNRWA should focus on the human rights of Palestinian refugees.

Farrakhan Predicts Imminent Arab-Style Revolt in America, Urges Obama Not to Attack Protesters…

How completely unlike Farrakhan to say something crazy.

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan predicted on Sunday that America faces imminent uprisings that mirror those in the Middle East.

“What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt . . . Libya, in Bahrain . . . what you see happening there . . . you’d better prepare because it will be coming to your door,” Farrakhan said in a booming voice, thousands of followers cheering in his wake.

Farrakhan also called on President Barack Obama to allow protesters to march, urging the president not to attack innocent people when they do.

The controversial minster spoke to a packed house at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont as part of the 81st annual celebration of Saviours’ Day, which marks the birth of the faith’s founder, W. Fard Muhammad.

The keynote address, titled “God will send saviours,” capped a weekend of workshops focused on health, preparing for natural disasters and unidentified flying objects. The Nation of Islam believes in a UFO called “the wheel” or “the Mother Plane.”

Farrakhan has described a 1985 religious experience in which he ascended into a flying saucer and heard the voice of Elijah Muhammad predicting historical events that came to pass.

Iran: 2012 Olympic Logo Racist! Zionist!

Fear the pesky Jewish Freemasons.

(RIA Novosti) — Tehran has officially challenged the 2012 London Olympic Games logo as racist and Zionist.

Head of Iran’s Olympic Committee Bahram Afsharzadeh said the logo was designed by a freemason organization.

“We had to protest the measure. We intend to write a letter to the Asian Olympic Council to urge them to follow up on the issue,” he told ISNA.

Tehran believes the geometrical figures illustrating “2012″ in the logo conceal the word “Zion,” a term Iranian officials use to describe Israel and its government, which they do not recognize.

Some Muslim nations raised objections as soon as the logo was unveiled, but their objections were rejected by British Olympic Committee and International Olympic Committee officials.

Afsharzadeh said some British individuals and organizations also protested the logo.

“This is the first time that this has happened in the history of the Olympics. Zionists have exercised influence in Britain, and according to our information, the summer games logo has been designed by a Zionist organization linked to freemasons,” he said.

Gaza: Islamists Throw Bomb at Christian Surgeon’s Car…

More Islamic-style interfaith outreach.

(JPost) — A prominent Christian surgeon in the Gaza Strip said assailants threw a bomb at his vehicle and sent him threatening messages.

Dr. Maher Ayyad, 55, says no one was hurt in Friday’s bombing, though the explosion damaged his brother’s vehicle.

He said Sunday that after the blast, he received text messages to halt evangelical work or face harsh punishment. Ayyad says he does not preach his faith.

There are some 3,000 Christians in Gaza amid a population of some 1.5 million Muslims. They mostly have good relations. But some Gaza Christians have reported harassment by religious hardliners since the terrorist Islamic group Hamas seized power in 2007.

NYC Pays 1,500 Teachers to Perform Union Duties Instead of Teaching in the Classroom…

Unions serve no other purpose than to suck the taxpayer dry.

(NY Post) — In the city’s funny math, you get only one teacher for the price of two.

The Department of Education pays about 1,500 teachers for time they spend on union activities — and pays other teachers to replace them in the classroom.

It’s a sweetheart deal that costs taxpayers an extra $9 million a year to pay fill-ins for instructors who are sprung — at full pay — to carry out responsibilities for the United Federation of Teachers.

With Mayor Bloomberg calling for thousands of teacher layoffs to balance the 2012 budget, critics say it’s time to halt the extravagant benefit.

“In these tight fiscal times, it defies common sense to pay two different people to do one job,” said Dick Dadey, executive director of Citizens Union, a government watchdog. “It’s a waste of money.”

That $9 million would cover the salaries of 198 new teachers at the current annual $45,530 starting pay

The DOE lets 40 experienced teachers collect top pay and fringe benefits, but work just one class period a day.

Ayman al-Zawahiri Urges Tunisians and Egyptians to Create Islamic States…

They’re way ahead of you al-Poopy-Stained forehead.

Cairo (AP) — Osama bin Laden’s deputy sought to co-opt the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia in a new message, urging the countries’ peoples to create Islamic states and warning that the United States is trying to manipulate the events to ensure American and Israeli interests are preserved.

The message by Ayman al-Zawahri appeared to have been recorded between the Jan. 14 fall of Tunisian president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and before the Feb. 11 ouster of Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak. Al-Zawahri urged Egyptians and Tunisians to keep up their protests to push out interim governments that continue in place in both nations.

“Greetings to every free, honorable individual who was exposed to the bullets of the security herds to keep Islam as the master in his own country, preserve the headscarf of the Muslim sisters, stop normalization with Israel . . . and protect his society from immorality, corruption and spoilage,” al-Zawahri said in the 15-minute audiotape posted on an Islamic militant website late Sunday.

The audiotape was the third in a three-part message al-Zawahri has released about the uprisings in the two countries. Al-Qaida has long called for the ouster of Mubarak, and Zawahri, an Egyptian, was part of an Islamic militant insurgency that Mubarak’s regime crushed in the 1990s.

He said Washington was trying to avoid the establishment of an Islamic rule that would consider Israel as an enemy and reject aiding America in its war against Muslims under the name of the war on terrorism.

Al-Zawahri urged Tunisians to continue their “sacrifices and efforts until Tunisia returns as a fortress of Islam and jihad … and to work to liberate Muslims lands off the armies of the contemporary Crusader campaign in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, the Arab peninsula, Somalia and the Islamic Maghreb.”

Tingles Promotes Video With Sexist and Derogatory Attacks on Sarah Palin…

The always classy Chris Matthews.

(Daily Caller) — There is a time and a place for low-brow humor. But is a Sunday morning public affairs program that is broadcasted all over the country such a place?

So much for the calls for civility in political discourse.

On the Sunday airing of NBC’s “The Chris Matthews Show,” host Chris Matthews thought viewers should be treated to some derogatory attacks on former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The MSNBC host with a history of accusations of misogynistic behavior from both the right and the left featured a video from “Funny or Die” and set it up by calling it “an upper.”

“I think we need an upper right now so before we break, it’s the end of February and four weeks ago, The Washington Post great writer Dana Milbank urged his colleagues and his competitors in the news world to give Sarah Palin as a topic a rest for the month of February,” Matthews said. “No interviews, no columns – nothing, starvation diet on her. Under the Milbank proposal, how would Palin get through the month? The comedic geniuses at Will Ferrell’s website Funny or Die.com imagined how it went up at Palin headquarters in Alaska.”

Farrakhan: Yeah, Me and Gaddafi Are Still Cool…

Hey, it’s not like he’s slaughtering people indiscriminately . . . no, wait?

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan says Moammar Gadhafi has always been a friend and he won’t distance himself from the Libyan dictator.

Farrakhan spoke Sunday at the Chicago-based organization Saviours’ Day convention.

Farrakhan didn’t talk specifics about the deadly uprisings in Libya, but the 77-year-old said no leader has been loved by 100 percent of his people.

Farrakhan also said that if Gadhafi is persecuted for crimes against humanity, the same should apply to former President George W. Bush for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

British Cleric Holding White House Protest: Obama Must Embrace Islam or Face Trial in Sharia Court…

Choudary will hold his protest this Thursday in front of the White House, here’s to hoping he’s hit with a stray bottle, chunk of concrete, cinder block, etc.

President Obama must embrace Islam as a way of life or face the consequences of a trial under the Shariah Islamic court system, declared British extremist cleric Anjem Choudary.

Choudary, founder and former chief of two Islamic groups disbanded by the British authorities under anti-terror legislation, is planning a Washington protest later this week in which he says he will call on American Muslims to revolt against the country and implement Shariah law.

Speaking in an interview with investigative reporter Aaron Klein on his program on New York’s WABC Radio, Choudary claimed Obama was waging a war against Islam.

“[Obama] has promised all Muslims to be released from Guantanamo Bay. They are still languishing there even though he knows they are completely innocent,” Choudary claimed.

“On top of that, he’s increased the number of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, so he is a warmonger just as his predecessor was. And thirdly and more importantly,” Choudary said, “the Muslims don’t want democracy and freedom. Democracy and freedom are anathema to Islam and the Shariah.”

Choudary said that at his protest, scheduled to take place Thursday in front of the White House, he will call on Obama and all Americans to “embrace Islam, not only as a religion but as a way of life.”

Choudary continued: “And at the same time, we will be issuing a warning that the presence of U.S. forces and U.S. personnel in Muslim countries, looking out for their interests, at the moment is very, very insecure. I think the Muslims are boiling angry around the world. This is something [Americans] should take very seriously.”

He warned Obama: “I do believe that the only way for him to save himself in this life and in the hereafter is to embrace Islam. Islam will eradicate all his sins; he will be like the day his mother gave birth to him. Otherwise, when we do implement the Shariah, obviously he will face the consequences of a trial under the Shariah court.”

Report: Federal Judge Could Halt Implementation of ObamaCare This Week…

Christmas coming early?

(Politico) — U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson has already dealt the Obama administration a staggering blow on health reform, and this week the administration may get another one from the fiery Florida judge.

The Justice Department asked Vinson to clarify his ruling that struck down the law as unconstitutional. Justice must file its brief on the motion by Monday, and Vinson has said he would rule quickly after that. At issue is whether Vinson meant to stop reform implementation in the 26 states that brought the suit.

The smart money says Vinson will halt implementation, and legal observers are wondering why Justice would take that risk.

“Having lost one game of chicken when it came to the severability of the mandate, the government is now challenging the same judge to back down on whether his decision is binding. Seems like a risky move,” said Randy Barnett, a law professor at Georgetown University.
