Wisconsin Senate Orders Arrest of 14 Dem Fleebaggers…
Round ’em up.
Senate Republicans Thursday ordered the arrest of their 14 Democratic colleagues, who fled the state two weeks ago to avoid a vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s controversial budget repair bill.
It’s unclear whether the resolution to force the senators back to the Capitol is constitutional. The state Constitution prohibits the arrest of legislators while in session unless they’re suspected of committing felonies, treason or breach of the peace.
Democrats say the Republicans have overreached, and have consulted an attorney for an opinion on whether the GOP actions are legal.
“The Republicans have gone around the bend,” said Sen. Chris Larson, D-Milwaukee. “They’ve just increased their bullying tactics and are producing an even greater divide in our state.”
James Troupis, a private attorney hired by Fitzgerald, contended Thursday that the move is legal. He cited a portion of the state Constitution that provides that each house “may compel the attendance of absent members.”
Republicans voted unanimously to give the Democrats until 4 p.m. Thursday to appear before the Senate. The 14 Democrats are believed to be in Illinois. If the senators do not return by the deadline, the Senate agreed to find them “in contempt and disorderly behavior.”
Declared Fitzgerald: “They have pushed us to the edge of a constitutional crisis.”
The Senate also voted to institute a “call of the house,” which is the mechanism used to compel senators to return to the chamber.
That means the Senate sergeant at arms can “with or without force” and with or without the help of law enforcement take missing members into custody and bring them to the Capitol.

Fox Nation has learned exclusively from a highly placed source within Wisconsin state politics that the fourteen AWOL Democrats are experiencing “dissension in the ranks.” State Sen. Julie Lassa (D) is pregnant and “extremely unhappy” about being on the run. State Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D) has been hit particularly hard by his paycheck being withheld. Wisconsin State Senate leadership is currently negotiating with eight of the fourteen to come home. Gov. Scott Walker (R) has declared today the deadline for action on his budget repair bill and plans to give a budget address at 5 p.m. ET. A deal may be announced around that time.
The unpopular AWOL Senate Democrats have less than 24 hours to return and vote on a measure to reduce the power of public sector unions.

“Treason” was listed as one of the criteria for arrest. Well, isn’t this treasonous? The Repub. senator quoted above said it was a constitutional crisis. They’re going to miss the deadline to refi millions of taxpayer $$. That sounds treasonous to me.

They all need to be Removed from office without any compensation, and flagged to never hold a job in Politics ever again. Then a special election needs to be held giving 2 weeks for preparation and 2 weeks for campaigning for the people who want to replace them. This should be the rule for ALL Politicians who refuse to do their Jobs. All the way up to the President of the United States. They work for US.

I actually met Tim Carpenter in Milwaukee on a number of occasions (usually in a gay bar becaise Tim is gay). He seemed like an arrogant man. I just remember I did not care for him at all. This fits right along with his personality. If they want to find Tim, they need to just look in all the IL gay bars.

In the military, this would be considered desertion and the perpetrators would be subject to a courts martial and imprisonment. Too bad government doesn’t hold itself as accountable as they do the military. Maybe they should.
Really, they have no options. If they come back, the bill is going to pass. If they come back, they are going to look like fools. If they don’t come back, the State can’t refinance the outstanding debt, and it costs the State X millions more over the next two years. They get blamed for this.
They must feel really, really stupid right about now.

Job abandonment would be subject to termination with any reputable company. But we’re looking at the upper crust liberal elite here. Some day after all the attention is off this I would bet they get back pay.
