(CNSNews.com) — The American Civil Liberties Union says it is “erroneous” to draw a connection between American Muslims and domestic terrorism.
By holding a congressional hearing on radicalization in the American-Muslim community, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) is “perilously close” to making that connection, said Michael Macleod-Ball, a First Amendment specialist at the ACLU.
Macleod-Ball said although the ACLU supports freedom speech — including Rep. King’s, “no matter how misguided” — it rejects congressional inquiries that “entrench” on First Amendment rights.
Macleod-Ball made the comments Wednesday at the National Press Club in Washington, where almost a dozen Muslim advocacy groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), spoke disparagingly of King, accusing him of “irresponsible rhetoric” and calling the planned House hearing a “political stunt.”
King chairs the House Homeland Security Committee. Thursday’s hearing is titled “The Extent of Radicalization in the American Muslim Community and that Community’s Response.”
Naeem Baig of the Islamic Circle of North America said King is “capitalizing on the rise of Islamophobia and xenophobia,” fueling anti-Islamic rhetoric that is being spewed across the country and within the GOP.”

And yet, even Holder’s DOJ admits that islam is a primary element in 186 out of 228 domestic terrorism prosecutions.
That works out to just over 81.5%
The US muslim population is .08%
Seems shiny crystal-clear to me.
One’s got to wonder about the ACLU, it’s spent decades trying to remove any trace of Christianity from our society but seem rather content to advance the cause of Political Islam.

As we get underway rebuilding America, I would suggest that we margenize the ACLU. They have had some significent successes but like a lot of other things these old Communists are getting a little old and long in the tooth.

The Moslems and the Left-Liberals are trying to establish Sharia as Law in the US by their attempts to shut down these hearings. Under Sharia, ANY discussion of Islam, Sharia, Koran, Hadiths, Mahomet or the Islamic State are forbidden and regarded as blasphemy and slander and punishable by death.
The Left-Liberals are our most committed enemies and we need to realize that and not assume they are just naive, stupid or bought and paid for (actually, they’re all those things, too, but it’s their dedication to Communism/Socialism/Nazism/Islam, all totalitarianisms, that make them America’s and the West’s natural enemies).
Before claiming you’re not allowed in a mosque, why don’t you walk up to one and go inside? Guaranteed that no one will prevent you from going inside or attending any lecture, service, etc.
It’s incorrect that anyone is trying to supplant US laws with sharia. There’s simply no evidence of this.
And it’s incorrect that any discussion or criticism of Islam or Muhammad is forbidden. (Individual ignorant Muslims may believe this, but the accusations here are against Islam generally, not just ignorant people–which exist in every demographic.) In one well-known incident, a neighbor of Muhammad used to throw refuse and hurl insults at him every day, which he ignored. One day, she didn’t show up to abuse him. His response? He went to go visit her and inquire whether she was ill. Bet you didn’t know that.
