First: if someone is demonstrably a dependant, even at age 26, I don’t see why they can’t stay on their parents’ insurance.
Second: That said, passing a law to mandate this possibility seems wholly unnecessary. A dependent is a dependent, yes?
Third: Bragging about this as if it were a major advance, when it is–what?—one line, maybe two, out of a 2500-page bill seems pretty pathetic.
Fourth: A twenty-six-year-old who is staying on Mom and Dad’s insurance is, in most cases, a bum, who is leeching off people who have do deal with mortgage, serious taxes, and retirement.
