Herman Cain: “I Would Not” Appoint A Muslim In My Administration…

Shockingly, the Soros-funded toolbags at Think Progress are losing their marbles over Cain’s comments.

KEYES: You came under a bit of controversy this week for some of the comments made about Muslims in general. Would you be comfortable appointing a Muslim, either in your cabinet or as a federal judge?

CAIN: No, I would not. And here’s why. There is this creeping attempt, there is this attempt to gradually ease Sharia law and the Muslim faith into our government. It does not belong in our government. This is what happened in Europe. And little by little, to try and be politically correct, they made this little change, they made this little change. And now they’ve got a social problem that they don’t know what to do with hardly.

The question that was asked that “raised some questions” and, as my grandfather said, “I does not care, I feel the way I feel.” I was asked, “what is the role of Islam in America?” I thought it was an odd question. I said the role of Islam in America is for those that believe in Islam to practice it and leave us alone. Just like Christianity. We have a First Amendment. And I get upset when the Muslims in this country, some of them, try to force their Sharia law onto the rest of us.

Wow! Why couldn’t he and West have been first black POTUS and VP? Why did it have to be that filthy Marxist?

Black prez is good, white prez is good, any color is good, JUST NOT RED! And I don’t mean red as in Red Indian, I mean red as in Soviet, Hammer ‘n’ Sickle, Marx ‘n’ Engels, Lenin ‘n’ Stalin, Ernesto ‘n’ Fidel, serfdom-at-the-end-of-the-road, tunnel-with-no-light-in-sight.

    JenBee,
At first he just had an exploratory committee, which usually means yes, but he recently came out and said he is 90% sure he will, it was 50% awhile ago, so most probably. He also won the Tea Party presidential poll recently (don’t remember exactly what the poll was called) so he is big contender.

    Cain/West.

    All

    The

    Way.

I would once again feel proud of the character (the antithesis of BHO) in the WH. What great Americans and leaders these men would be. They are both fearless, bold, intelligent, and don’t take crap from anyone.

    Bravo gents.

“I would walk through hell with a gasoline can” Lt. Col. Allen West said when asked if he would repeat the actions he deemed necessary to protect his troops–actions which led to a reprimand, fine, and his retirement

HOORAH! A leader with a spine.
    We can dream can’t we?

  20. Zilla says:

    LOVE HIM!
Allen West insists he won’t run for 2012, and the more I see of and hear from Herman Cain the more I like and respect him. I’m behind him all the way for 2012. The rest of the GOP contenders can stand aside because they are gutless cowards when it comes to islam.

  37. Barrackaid says:
    March 28, 2011 at 5:41 am

Did you notice the Think Progress website cites Article IV as a refutation of Cain’s argument. Does not apply but Article VI does.

Article VI: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The debate about Islam is not a First Amendment issue and it’s not an Article IV issue. It’s about what will be the supreme law of the land.

  38. ER says:
    March 28, 2011 at 6:09 am

@Barrackaid, your focus on issue-framing is the urgently critical matter; unfortunately, the Obama DOJ is picking podunk cases (ex: Murfreesboro) to advocate for Islam on (DOJ argument: Islam is a religion, & saying otherwise could be criminal), & b/c they are not over something in a major city or high profile (like the Ground Zero Islamic Center), people aren’t really aware that case law is being established that can then be used for later decisions.

He just earned more than a few points in my book. How about “Raising Cain in 2012″. Cain/West in 2012 could be unbeatable if they start working on it now and construct a solid strategy to keep the democrap socialist in a constant state of embarassment and backpedaling.

Islam itself precludes its adherents from serving in many US gov’t posts. I refer to how the Koran specifies the treatment of women, gays, those who insult family honor, etc. The specified behaviors are against US Constitution and assorted laws. Islam requires absolute loyalty to Allah, as spelled out in the Koran. Curious to me why feminists, gays, dissidents, etc. either miss or choose to ignore this (at their peril, methinks). It’s OK tho, the food chain will take care of it in good time…

  46. Brent says:

Wow, I thought I was alone in my Cain/West fantasy team. Awesome.

Either one of them can clean Obummer’s clock in a fair debate.

I hope his statement helps gain support. It will be used to bludgen him relentlessly. He’s tough and can take it, but if the CAIR types start to do their thing, it could muddy the waters.

PS. He’s freakin’ great on the economy, too.

I would like to see Mr. West. Mr. Cain, and the Donald lead this country back to the constitution and bring back new business/industry. The three would make one dam good ticket. Each man has something special to offer.
