Herman Cain: “Anybody Who Takes the Oath of Office in My Administration Will Put Their Hand on the Bible, Not the Koran”…

Ding. . . ding. . . ding — round 3!

Via Shark Tank:

I don’t know one Muslim who will denounce Sharia Law, and then say they can support the Constitution of the United States of America. So my assumption based on what I know about their belief system is that they are not going to give up Sharia Law. Anybody that takes the oath of office in a Herman Cain administration will put their hand on the Bible, not the Koran!

Round 1: Herman Cain: “I Would Not” Appoint A Muslim In My Administration

Round 2: Herman Cain Refuses to Back Down: “There Are Many Muslims Who Are Not Totally Dedicated to This Country”

    i have listened to mr. cain’s radio show and he is the real deal, a strong, intelligent man with business experience and a belief that we can again lead the world, but it will take some hard work and realistic thinking to get there. i’m glad he said what he did, he merely stated what should be obvious to all Americans. now we get to sit back and watch the left’s heads explode with rage at his “insensititivy” toward our poor, oppressed, misunderstood muslim brothers. get real, people, the muslims are here to blow our asses back to the 13th century, and if i have anything to say about it, it ain’t gonna happen. cain/west or west/cain, at this time in our history it is a no-brainer.

    Rupaula…

    http://www.themoralliberal.com/2011/03/29/wilders-is-right-ban-muslim-immigration-building-of-mosques/

    the First Amendment does not explicitly protect the Islamic faith, nor does it prohibit it. The First Amendment is simply silent about the issue of Islam.

    Thus Islam should enjoy only the liberty it merits, and permission, for example, to build new mosques can be revoked if Islam does in American what Islam does everywhere it exists in the world, which is labor to subvert democracy and impose sharia law.

    This view of the First Amendment is confirmed by a review of the debate surrounding the First Amendment in Congress in 1789. A re-reading of the all the entries in the congressional record of the debate over the First Amendment reveals no mention — zero, nada, zilch — of Islam.

    Instead, as the Founders grappled with the wording of the First Amendment, they road-tested several variations, all of which make it clear that the objective here was specifically to protect the free exercise of the Christian faith.

    Here are some of the alternative versions that were considered:

    * “Congress shall make no law establishing One Religious Sect or Society in preference to others.”

    * “Congress shall not make any law, infringing the rights of conscience or establishing any Religious Sect or Society.”

    * “Congress shall make no law establishing any particular denomination of religion in preference to another, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, nor shall the rights of conscience be infringed.”

    * “Congress shall make no law establishing articles of faith, or a mode of worship, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion.”

    * “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”

  25. Rupaula says:
    March 31, 2011 at 8:35 pm

    @Monster Zero,

    You’re joking right? His proof of the First Amendment only applying to Christianity is that the Founding Fathers debated using a number of different wordings, none of which specifically reference “Christianity.”

    You would think that when forming a nation, if they meant to only protect the freedom to worship as a Christian, they would have said that or at least had it one of the drafts.

    I can’t say I actually read the koran. The book I read was printed in English. However, my understanding of the moose-limb dementia is that they could say whatever words or phrases happen to come out of their mouth. Five seconds later, they could claim it was all a lie, whether it was a lie or not. Six seconds later, they could claim it as the hermaphrodite moon she god’s will and whatever sounds you may claim to have heard are totally in your head. (btw that would include whatever recordings you have).

    The part that absolutely makes me laugh when I see it on video is how the next day (or even DECADES later) some “shaman/sheepherder/longerbeardthanyours/pedophile” says everything that was said back then was crap and proceeds to tell everybody what it really meant.

    Then I stop laughing long enough to catch my breath and notice that all the other moose-limb are just fine with everything that happened.

    Of course I’m insane because I think every last one of them is demented.

    My grandparents had to flee Northern Ireland after death threats because of conflicts between Catholics and Protestants. She was Protestant, and he was Catholic. When I became of age, I volunteered and joined the Army, and I served as an 11B Infantryman. Most of my time in the field was in squad or platoon size operations. We would have discussions about what we were fighting for. It always came back to the “Bill of Rights”. To me the most important was “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”.
    What else did our Founding Fathers have to say about religion?
    “Question with boldness even the existence of a god.” – Thomas Jefferson (letter to Peter Carr, 10 August 1787):
    “All natural institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.” Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason;
    “Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together”, John Madison.
    “Lighthouses are more helpful than Churches”, Benjamin Franklin.

    We don’t have freedom of religion. If we did, David Koresh would still be alive. He was labeled a threat and eliminated. We should do the same with any mosque that is radicalized.
