Peter King on Holder Ripping Congress for Forcing 9/11 Plotters Into Military Tribunals: “Maybe Eric Holder Wants to Live in a Dictatorship, We Don’t”…

Hitting him with both barrels.

(The Hill) — The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee suggested that Attorney General Eric Holder should resign after criticizing Congress for interfering with the trial venues for the detainees at Guantánamo.

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) said Tuesday that Holder should resign if he’s so against trying the suspects before a military commission.

“Maybe Eric Holder wants to live in a dictatorship, we don’t,” King said in an interview with Fox News. “If he feels so strongly about it [...] and this is such an issue of conscious for him, then Eric Holder should resign. If he feels this strongly he should resign on principle. It would do him good, it would certainly do us good. It would do the country good.”

Holder announced Monday the Justice Department would try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, and other suspects involved in the attacks before a military commission rather than in civilian court.

During his announcement Holder blamed Congress for the reversal of Obama administration policy, saying the lawmakers weren’t as informed about the suspects as he is. Additionally, Holder said the policy reversal was a result of Congress blocking a transfer of Guantánamo Bay prisoners to a United States prison.

Holder worked for a law firm representing terrorists. It’s very lucrative. He’s just trying to send a little bidness to his friends. Give the guy a break. Imagine the billable hours for a long drawn out trial in NY city.

If the legislative branch is “not as informed” as you are, Mr. Holder, whose fault is that?

    Hint: have a mirror handy.

In my opinion, Holder feels that he is an elitist so therefore he is. I think he is a cocky Anti American that history will show is corrupt as hell.

Oh boy. This administration is comprised of such idiots. Looking to sucker conservative speakers into appearing “extreme” by losing control over obvious taunts blows up horribly in their faces. I suppose Holder must now respond with some peevish remark before dragging his well spanked ass back into the dog house.

King is right–Holder does want to live in a dictatorship.

Big, long drawn out trial in NY is what the lawyers want. Because the gubermint pays for the defense and prosecution.

I prefer that we put them up in front of a bunch of our guys who they were shooting at, and we pay already. Talk about turn about is fair play!!! Jury made up of injured Marines!! What do you mean that is not fair?

“saying the lawmakers weren’t as informed about the suspects as he is”

obama told him the suspects are his personal friends and comrades.
