House Republicans Send Letter to IRS Asking Them to Investigate AARP’s Tax-Emempt Status…

I think we have a better chance of seeing hell freeze over.
Comments & pings are closed.Following up on a report released last week, three Republicans on the House Ways and Means committee have sent a letter to the Internal Revenue Service calling for an investigation into the tax-exempt status of AARP.
Authored by Reps. Wally Herger, R- Calif., Dave Reichert, R-Wash., and Charles Boustany, R-La., last week’s report highlighted the fact that though it’s considered a non-profit, roughly 60 percent of its revenue comes from its for-profit insurance business.

looks like he misplaced his dunce cap
So have one crooked institution investigate another.
Yeah why do I have a feeling that letter was a waste of paper and ink.
Good luck with that…hell, we need to rid ourselves of the IRS let alone investigate it as well.
It’s not a letter the Republicans need to send, it’s Allen West with a 2X4 in his hand. THAT is how we’re going to need to get things done from now on.
Is Obama’s new campaign slogan, “Thick as a brick”?
AARP was one of the most appalling sellouts of them all- what scumbags… worse than door to door scam artists, and seniors trusted them like Ed McMahon!
