Wow: Russia Demands “Red Button” Rights for US Missile Defense System in Europe…
Past U.S. presidents would have told the Russians to go eff themselves but we’re talking about Barack Obama here, God knows how he’ll respond.
(Telegraph) — A top Kremlin official has told the United States Russia wants “red button” rights to a new US-backed missile defence system for Europe, a move that would allow it to influence the shield’s day-to-day operational use.
Sergey Ivanov, Russia’s deputy prime minister, made the controversial demand during a visit to the United States where he met with top officials including Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State.
“We insist on only one thing,” he said of the nascent US-backed missile defence shield. “That we are an equal part of it.”
“In practical terms, that means that our office will sit for example in Brussels and agree on a red-button push to launch an interceptor missile, regardless of whether the missile is launched from Poland, Russia or the UK.”
Russia has been pushing hard for a prominent role in the new missile shield for months but with little noticeable success as Washington and its allies remain deeply sceptical of Russia’s reliability as a political and military partner.

OK, so Russia’s telling us Poland (Poland!) might start launching missiles at Europe. Only the Obama administration could be so ignorant and/or mincing to buy that.

Who shakes a man’s hand, and doesn’t look him in the eye? This is not only condescending, but disrespectful. WTF! Obama has no idea of protocol, and if you aren’t high-fiving him, fist-bumping him, or homie-shaking his “thumb”, he has no clue. Just like he didn’t know how to salute, and still gives a piss-poor attempt, a hand-shake with Obama, is meaningless.

As a Gen X Cold War kid and former Air Force brat, I still don’t trust the Russians as far as I can throw them. I grew up knowing Ivan was the enemy and never changed my mind even after the Berlin Wall fell. I raised an eyebrow and shook my head when Bush made his “I looked into his eyes” comment regarding Putin. Of course Obummer will want to keep the Russians happy and will bend to their will, then apologize for the US and her allies winning the Cold War. However, I am a fan of two things. How the Russians handle terrorists and the AK-47. When I was a kid my favorite GI Joes always used AKs and when I had the chance I bought one.
So has he gave them the keys to the White House yet or does that belong to China?
Aren’t the Russians being invaded by the Muslims? if I were them I would worry about what’s going on in my own backyard as opposed to Poland.

Obama already gave the keys to the WH to Russia, had to, to get them to fuel Iran’s reactor.
So Russia wants a controlling hand in a Nuclear Missile Defense Shield that will protect small European Countries (like Poland) FROM RUSSIA. Knowing Obama, he will say “No Problem” to this farce.
