House Approves Boehner Boondoggle: 59 Repubs Vote No

Sellout complete.

(The Hill) — The House on Thursday passed a bill reflecting last week’s agreement to fund the federal government for the rest of fiscal year 2011, in a 260-167 vote in which most Republicans supported it, and most Democrats opposed it even though it was brokered by President Obama and has the support of Democratic leaders in Congress.

Fifty-nine Republicans voted against the measure, a sign that many conservatives are still disappointed that their leadership was not able to negotiate steeper spending cuts. That’s also more than the 54 Republicans who voted against a three-week spending resolution in March over complaints that more dramatic spending reductions were not made.

Eighty-one Democrats voted for the deal, and 108 opposed it.

John Boehner has betrayed people and he is an embarrassment. When will his next failure come? When raising the Debt Limit of course. If he does that we have to find someone to run against this man. He needs to go. He cares about himself. He cares nothing for the country. Fraud.

Bo’ner has to get a few thing straight!

Voters put him where he is, not the potty.

He and his Senate counter part are “aka Obama” wallet smoochers.

They ought to be honest with their employers. [voters]

If they choose not to they will go directly to jail [prison], and stay there!.

Sort of fitting to have a fake solution to a fake ginned up crisis when you think about it.

I gotta tell y’all that while I can appreciate the emotional satisfaction of saying “SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN” what that means is the GOP gets SCREWED.

Boehner got stabbed in the back by a lot of the Freshman GOP congresscritters today. They voted to shut down the government, EVEN THOUGH ALL the Polls (even Rassmussen) say the GOP will be blamed for it, and even though it would mean the troops and disabled vets wouldn’t get paid. And yes, some of ‘em thought this would be a path to higher office for them.

And these sharp (/) GOP Freshman think Boehner should have had a stand alone bill to fund the troops and vets, COMPELETLY IGNORING THE FACT that neither Reid nor Obama would have gone for that, saying instead that we needed an “over all” bill to keep funding the government. And their actions today make it even more unlikely that Ryan’s budget – the BEST anyone has come up with in YEARS, will get passed.

Boehner’s mistake has been that he has been TOO accomodating to the know nothing GOP Freshman – mostly tea party folks*. Hell Nancy Pelosi had ALL the Dems voting her way or they’d have found themselves in basement offices, with 1/3 of the staff and never invited to any events of any significance had they crossed her.
    * Y’all remember the Tea Party folks, right? The folks who ran Sharon Angle who LOST to HARRY FUCKIN’ REID, the folks who ran Joe Miller who lost to WRITE IN CANDIDATE and Christine O’Donnel who lost to – ? don’t even remember his name.

I dont think Boehner is nasty enough to be Speaker of the House.
