(Washington Examiner) — Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., has deservedly taken plenty of flack in the last two days for making up numbers on the Senate floor and then explaining that his comments “were not intended as a factual statement.”
But when liberals rebut Kyl’s made-up numbers about what Planned Parenthood does, they point to the numbers planned Parenthood provides [pdf], which Washington Post blogger Ezra Klein posted in pie-chart format, at right.
These numbers are incredibly misleading, and should not be taken as a factual statement.
First, let’s use Planned Parenthood’s own terms, and break out the services the provide for pregnant women (see above).
In brief: If a pregnant woman walks into a Planned Parenthood, she almost always walks out no longer pregnant.

Liberals like Molly on another thread have been telling us that PP is a lovely institution that spends most of it’s time promoting family values.
If they spend close to 98% of their time performing abortions I’d like someone to tell me how not one single red tax payer penny is going towards those services.

Telling frightened pregnant teens that their baby is “a cluster of cells” that they can feel good about “terminating” is a family value! Who knew?
PP sounds to me like a used car lot. Girls come in confused and desperate, and the “salespeople” inside sell them on abortion as the solution.

Just asking. Not like it’s a big deal or anything. And I’m sure they wouldn’t use any of that unaccounted for tax-payer money towards the 98% of their services to pregnant women that involve abortion. And I’m sure that none of it went to their contributions to RAT Commie pol’s.

Isn’t it interesting how the majority of these slaughterhouses are located in black and Latino ghettos, yet we continue to make up for the population decrease of abortion by encouraging millions of Mexicans to come in? Does that mean the feds think messicans are a better bet than blacks? I bet the Rev. Sharpton will have something to say about this. Not.
