Dream Team: Obama Partners With Sharpton, Bloomberg and Schwarzenegger to Push for Amnesty…
Apparently Jeremiah Wright was busy.
(The Hill) — Despite long odds against immigration reform, President Obama on Tuesday urged a wide range of activists and officials to keep pushing the issue.
The president told the group, which included Rev. Al Sharpton, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, that for Congress to act, they will have to put pressure on Capitol Hill.
“All politicians have to listen to their base,” Sharpton told reporters after the White House meeting.
Sharpton acknowledged that Obama was “very candid” about immigration reform’s bleak hopes for passage.
But Bill Bratton, a former police chief of Los Angeles and New York City, said Obama asked the group of about 70 participants “to commit going forward to keep the debate about this issue alive.”
Obama has come under fire repeatedly by Hispanic and pro-reform groups who have questioned his commitment on the issue.

Actually ENFORCING the immigration laws would be considered “reform” these days. Why is it so difficult to understand what the term “illegal” means? I am sick of ALL of the media calling it “immigration reform”. I am sick of even the non-RINOs calling it Immigration reform. Call it straight up what it is: amnesty. None of the legislation discussed in recent years has been about reform. It has been about amnesty and opening the floodgates that much further.
We all know that the left chooses its words very carefully. It is more difficult to be against “reform” or “undocumented WORKERS” or “choice”. Don’t play their stupid games meant to fool a dumbed down electorate – call it what it is. Never use their terms – they are defining the game when you succumb to their terminology.
