McRINO Overjoyed Brewer Vetoed “Birther Bill”…

Because only “extremists” ask a presidential candidate to show their birth certificate before an election.

(The Hill) — Arizona Sen. John McCain (R) applauded his state’s governor, Jan Brewer (R), Monday for vetoing a controversial “birther” bill.

The legislation, the first of its kind in the nation, would have required presidential candidates to prove their citizenship to be included on the state’s ballot.

McCain, President Obama’s GOP opponent in 2008, tweeted:

Proud of @GovBrewer for her veto of the “birther bill” — it was the right decision.

The bill stemmed from suspicions of some of Obama’s opponents that he is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is thus ineligible to be commander in chief.

Not hard to see why McRINO approves:

She supported him the whole way for 2010.

Perhaps the GOP elites want to get the POTUS on something more elegant than a plain ol’ archaic Constitutional eligibility requirement. I mean that is so passe, so 1800s. It’s just the law of the land but it’s a minor, dismissable, irrelevant, unsubstantial detail that needlessly eliminates the stellar talent and racial quality of the POTUS.

She championed the immigration law knowing it would be used to increase Federal Powers…

You thought she was defending Arizona… nuh uh.. she just set up all of the States for more dilution of their State powers..

Of course, the birth bill was flawed, so I could be wrong

    @ Ricky Vines

The GOP elites are spineless, and what little fortitude they have is paralyzed by the fear of being labeled racist if they call the jackass-in-Chief out on any of his numerous acts of sedition. Do you think any other President could get away with the $h!t this guy is pulling and not face impeachment? The Won is protected by his half-blackness, no career politician would dare criticize him for fear of having their careers destroyed.

Disgraceful, both of them (McRino & Brewer). And, good grief, they are right next door to New Mexico whose governor himself (Bill Richardson — a former DNC chairman, Clinton insider, *and* presidential candidate himself, so he should definitely know!) explicitly & loudly said Obama is an “imigrante”– i.e., IMMIGRANT ! Not only that but the Hawaii Democratic Party specifically *refused* to certify Obama eligible under the Constitution, as per the standard required, so Pelosi had to draft up something special just for Obama. (see YouTube: “Democratic Party of Hawaii Refused to Certify Obama”)

The only bad part was requiring the SOS, and only the SOS, to be the verifier. (That wouldn’t work well in Washington state, for instance.) Obama wasn’t the only illegitimate candidate on ballots. There was also Róger Calero, a Nicaraguan green card holder.

And it’s not “birther.” It’s documenter. We want to see everything. Reporters crawled all over Palin’s life, but we can’t see Barry’s college records? Or his passport records? That’s the argument we should use, before pounding Obama on his in-office failures. Couldn’t hurt to mention Lakin, either.

I can’t believe how many haven’t done their research… BREWER was CORRECT to veto the bill… the bill let’s ONE person determine the verification process – Can you say corrupt Sec. of State?

Secondly, the bill doesn’t require a long form birth certificate… you can provide other proof such as a census record, baptismal record… What the hell is that all about? Check out page 4 line 33 of the bill found here:

Bunker… how bout getting the law makers to understand what a good bill should encompass… which includes verifying the parents are citizens as well as the POTUS candidate…

There’s no way I can show a baptismal certificate to get a job… or a passport… or a driver’s license… so why are you ok with this as proof for the job of POTUS?

    That’s nonsense.
For people born on US soil the only disqualifier for them being deemed “natural born citizens” is if one of their parents was an ambassador of a foreign country. Everyone else is a citizen.

Parentage is relevant only to those born outside of the US in determining whether they are “natural born citizens”. ie You getting born on at an Army base in Germany. So you get to talk about dual citizenship and Indonesia only after declaring Hawaii to be a foreign country.

So your concern is really that the President might not meet some BS clueless idea you have because you don’t understand your own constitution. Never fear, this won’t necessarily stop Arizona putting it into law.

  26. Monster Zero says:

    Sanz-
You are wrong, there is a natural born citizen and then there is a nationalized citizen. If you were to obtain dual citizenship you then fall into the Nationalized status, so try again. If you were born to US servicemen in a foreign Nation while they are deployed on duty you are provided US citizenship as a Natural born citizen.

Go to the Phil Berg web site and just take a look at the complaints regarding Obama’s United States citizenship that he has filed to the Supreme Court. If it were so meaningless an issue then why on earth would the Clinton’s push it so hard during the Democratic primaries? I just believe where there is smoke there is fire…and why would anyone spend over a million in legal fees rather than produce a document? Citizens have to produce a long form birth certificate for a passport and in many States a driver’s license. I think it quite prudent that any Citizen requesting to see the verification should have that opportunity, perhaps under the freedom of information act maybe as a public document? Perhaps it simply states that his religion is MUSLIM, but then I think many have figured out his fondness and sympathy for those that worship Allah.

    Blue Skys:

There are several terms all of which have SPECIFIC LEGAL definitions according to ORIGINAL INTENT:

    Different term examples:

    Natural Born Citizen
    Citizen
    Naturalized Citizen

Each are different. Original Intent is legally defined as the intent of the founders as to how they defined the terms. When you research Federalist Papers and notes from Thomas Jefferson, the definition breaks down as follows,

Citizen – born on US soil
Natural Born Citizen = born on US soil and BOTH PARENTS BORN ON US SOIL
Naturalized Citizen = born on Foreign soil and acquiring US citizenship.

Article II section 1 of Constitution states the following:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Offidce of President…

The Citizen at the time of the adoption is a grandfather clause that would allow the founding fathers to qualify… like Washington, Jefferson, etc… therefore the Natural Born requirement was to apply when everyone perished from the time of adoption of the constitution. Get it?

“If you were to obtain dual citizenship you then fall into the Nationalized status, so try again.”

Try what? There’s no evidence he’s relinquished US citizenship. Ball’s in your court to suggest how that’s any more relevant than the Panama Zone provisions, so try again.

“If you were born to US servicemen in a foreign Nation while they are deployed on duty you are provided US citizenship as a Natural born citizen.”

    Really? Prove it.
I’ll call BS on this just for fun.
The only thing that suggests that’s true is Section 1401.

Apparently, there are some legal ramifications with this situation regarding legal citizenship of the minor, just stating what I recall reading in the original complaint back in 2007, orchestrated by the DEMOCRATS FOR HILLARY CLINTON…just sayin’. Of course attending a Muslim school in Indonesia as a child, where only Indonesian citizens may attend, doesn’t really raise any questions either.

No, it was a Catholic school. (St. Francis of Assisi). He was registered as a Muslim, and took Koran classes. Christians aren’t allowed to do that in Indonesia, nor are Muslims allowed to take Christian classes.
