My kid just cleaned up on Easter Eggs. He is a happy child!

A joyfull and happy Easter to all!
Mom worked as a nurse at a faith-based geriatric care facility. On Easter morning she was giving medications to a frail elderly woman in hospice and told her “Today is Easter Sunday, Happy Easter”. The old woman said, “I don’t believe in him anymore.” Somewhat shocked and thinking she might have misheard, Mom said “What was that?” and the woman repeated “I don’t believe in him anymore.” Now very puzzled and becoming concerned since this lady had always been deeply religious, Mom gently asked “Who don’t you believe in?” and the woman said “You know, The Easter Bunny!”
That was 25 years ago and not an Easter goes by that it doesn’t make me laugh.

Risen in flesh, here in Spirit, and returning in flesh. Great and terrible will be the end that is coming. Even so come, Lord God Jesus. You have provided our needs and you will continue until our end. We should not fear the end but give thanks for the present and the hereafter Jesus purchased.

Easter and the resurrection distinguish Christianity from all other faiths. Each must choose; was it an actual event or not? Paul was right when he wrote in Cor 15:
14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
The question then is was it real? Based on logic and evidence, I say YES! Many witnesses testified in first person. And in a few days, those closest to Jesus, who KNEW whether the resurrection was real, went from rejecting Him, to dedicating their lives and even dying for Him. Many will die for falsehoods they believe to be true, but no one will die for a falsehood they KNOW to be false.

This is for those of us that need to smile now and then.
Three blondes died, found themselves standing in front of St. Peter. He told them before they could enter the kingdom, they had to explain to him the meaning of Easter.
The first blonde, an American, said “Easter is a holiday where they have a big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey.”
St. Peter said “No” and wouldn’t let her in.
The second blonde, a Brit, said “Easter is a time when we celebrate Jesus’s birth and exchange gifts.”
St. Peter again said “No” and wouldn’t let her in.
The third blonde, a Canadian, said she knew what Easter was and St. Peter said “Well tell me.”
She said “Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having passover feast with his disciples when he was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested him. The Romans hung him on a cross and eventually he died. Then they buried him in a tomb behind a very large boulder…….”
St. Peter said “Verryyy good” !
Then the blonde continued, “Now, every year the Jews roll away the boulder and Jesus comes out. If he sees his shadow we have six more weeks of hockey.”
St. Peter fainted
