Video: Union Official, Professors Teach How-to College Course in Violent Union Tactics…
And taxpayers are funding this crap.

. . . Recently, the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) sponsored two college courses: Introduction to Labor Studies and Labor Politics and Society, to be taught simultaneously through a video conference between to two campuses.
The Professors are Judy Ancel, Director of Labor Studies at UMKC and Don Giljum, business manager for the International Union of Operating Engineers at Ameren UE in St. Louis. (Bonus: he is a member of the Communist Party.)
In the class, the Professors not only advocate the occasional need for violence and industrial sabotage, they outline specific tactics that can be used. As one of our colleagues pointed out, its the matter-of-factness of it all that is so disturbing.

Why aren’t these “professors” at minimum fired from their jobs? If it were up to me, I would charge them with treason!
They had better also teach which states have concealed carry.

This is why a good 50% of college degrees are useless – all college degrees are overpriced due to the extraneous nonsense taught in universities on top of the wasteful salaries and monies spent by Big Education. If they are advocating violence or destruction they should be arrested.
The big push to get children to go to college has always been a scam. Unless they are studying something worthwhile that will enable them to have a profession – the degree is meaningless. Even employers ask for degrees when the job clearly doesn’t need it – such as secretaries. It is some sort of game to keep this monolithic education entitlement scam going – and now the student loan debacle. Kids are entering college who can’t even spell – its a joke.

Nothing here has any resemblence to education. I understand students making statements of utter nonsense, but then the “professor” is supposed to gently school them on their ignorance. Not sure what was going on there but it appeared the “professors” are simply a couple incompetents who wandered in off the street. Seriously, they are not being paid, are they?

From the response in the comments I get the idea that the mind set here are that of the right wing in that if you a union member then your a communist . My comment on this issue is that I was a Teamster for 44 years and in fact in all that time I honestly can say with fact that I never knew one teamster that was a communist , in fact most including my self were military vets .
Joey, the concern by many on the right is that the union leadership in many of the large unions support communistic objectives. Public sector unions especially aren’t fighting for the 40 hour workweek and fair practices. They are fighting for massive political power and an economic model that cannot be sustained. Many of the union leadership in this country also teaches and instructs that capitalism is an evil to be destroyed for the benefit of the “workers”.
So, a few questions to all you rank and file union members who aren’t communists.
1. Why are the unions’ leadership such flaming leftists if the union rank and file are not?
2. Does your union interests and concerns include the beneficial survival of your company?
3. Many union leaders believe companies just need better management. Do you recognize that many of the best managers will opt to work for a non-union company, given a choice? Do the unions own any responsibility for this poor relationship?
4. Do you acknowledge that the communist movement has made inroads into hijacking the union movement in order to push the communisst agenda? How exactly does your union differ from what the communist party USA wants to institute?
I’ve worked for companies where I was glad there was a union. Many companies need a union to keep some of the idiot management in check. I get that. But the union power can swing too far. To deny that is to not be realistic.
I am not quit understanding what your trying to say here ,it sound as that your not against union employees but all the ills are a pond the union leadership and that it would be better off with out them . I guess what I’m trying to figure out is how as union members which you mentioned you were glad to be at some point be able to be in a union with out a union president in your opinion is a communist? The comment that you made that many management guys will opt out of a union company does hold true to some extent and usually they are the ones you described as the idiot managers the one that like to bully and intimidate the workers and they know thats going to get resistance from the union in a unionized work force . On the other hand the managers that I worked with told me that they wanted to work where they had a union because it also brought up their standards as far a pay and other benefits . I think those on the right should put blame where it belongs and that is on out of control management that gave birth to the unions .BTW I appreciate the last three lines to your thread . Good Luck .
