EPA Chief Lisa Jackson Admits They’re the Reason for Rising Gas Prices…
By accident, of course.
(Politico) — The EPA is getting blamed for a lot of things these days, but Lisa Jackson says rising gasoline prices are not her agency’s fault.
The EPA administrator insisted Tuesday that upward pressure on gas prices “is not coming from any environmental or health regulation.”
“The standards that we set to protect our health are so often and so inaccurately blamed for increasing prices and economic challenges that I want to make clear that that’s not what is happening right now,” she told a conference hosted by the Energy Information Administration.
Nor is increasing demand for fuel in nations such as China and India to blame for cost spikes, Jackson added — at least not yet.
“What appears to be the most important factor at work is our dependence on imported energy,” she said. “This is what leaves us vulnerable to jumps in prices. When something changes thousands of miles away, the American people pay for it at the pump.”
And why are we dependent on imported energy? Because agencies like the EPA are forcing oil companies to cancel domestic drilling plans.
(Fox News) — Shell Oil Company has announced it must scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska. The decision comes following a ruling by the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits. The move has angered some in Congress and triggered a flurry of legislation aimed at stripping the EPA of its oil drilling oversight.
Shell has spent five years and nearly $4 billion dollars on plans to explore for oil in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas. The leases alone cost $2.2 billion. Shell Vice President Pete Slaiby says obtaining similar air permits for a drilling operation in the Gulf of Mexico would take about 45 days. He’s especially frustrated over the appeal board’s suggestion that the Arctic drill would somehow be hazardous for the people who live in the area. “We think the issues were really not major,” Slaiby said, “and clearly not impactful for the communities we work in.”
The closest village to where Shell proposed to drill is Kaktovik, Alaska. It is one of the most remote places in the United States. According to the latest census, the population is 245 and nearly all of the residents are Alaska natives. The village, which is 1 square mile, sits right along the shores of the Beaufort Sea, 70 miles away from the proposed off-shore drill site.

These are the reasons for the rise in gas prices:
1. The weak dollar. The Fed’s QE2 policy is causing inflation, by increasing the money supply.
2. Oil speculators. These include airlines and trucking companies. They need to buy oil futures in order to budget for the cost of fuel.
3. The Obama regime denying oil drilling permits.
BTW, did you know that the government makes more in profit from a gallon of gasoline than the oil refiners? In California and NY, the Federal and State thugs rake in at least 60 cents a gallon. The Oil companies profits? About 5 cents a gallon. So the next time some insane leftist lunatic asshole blames the oil companies (and they will), ask them what percentage of the cost of fuel is paid in taxes.
Just a doggone minute here, didn’t ya’ll hear Oblamer say he’s on it? And you know it’s our fault for needing the stuff. Be glad you don’t live in progressive Minnesota, we have crushing gas taxes on top of the proposal to tax mileage/road use. I think it’s really too much to ask for an AA hire like Jackson to make the connection between our dependence on foreign oil being the result of us not producing enough of our own fucking oil because of idiots like her. The reason why oil prices are rising is because oil is traded in US dollars. The Federal reserve is printing more US dollars. When there are more USD chasing the same goods and services the prices rise. Its simple economics.

China, together with Japan is developing a water driven car, incidentally Japan has already tested the car on Japanese Roads. It works great.
Russia is developing an air driven car while France has ‘fleet cars’ that already run on air.

The EPA’s appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project. That’s ‘GAS EMISSIONS FROM A FREAKIN ICE- BREAKING VESSEL!!

Obama didn’t just give 2 Billion Dollars for drilling for Oil off the Coast of Brazil, he also gave them ANOTHER 2.8 Billion Dollars last week so they can REFINE the Oil. The Grand Total to Brazil to ruin Their Environment (They Own the Rain Forest Right???) is 4.8 Billion Dollars. Meanwhile, we can’t Drill for Oil here (and Obama’s EPA is also Shutting down Coal Mines as well), because it will ruin the Environment. We have gone from 30% of the World’s Oil from America to 2% of the World’s Oil since Obama has become President. When the Riots finally break out in Saudi Arabia (You Know it will Happen), then all the Oil to America Stops. Mix that with Obama’s Oil Moratorium, killing all Coal Production and the continued Halt on Nuclear Power Plants, No Gas or Electricity unless you have Wind and Solar. How will get to work without Gas for the Regular Cars and No Electricity for the Electric Cars? Wind and Solar are both about .001% efficient, and neither work if it isn’t Windy and the Sun don’t shine. I keep saying it, but here we go again. We need to learn to live like Amish People.
