Former Bush Treasury Secretary: Lawmakers Opposed to Raising Debt Ceiling “Are Our Version of al-Qaeda Terrorists”…

Yes, he really said that.

(The Hill) — Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill compared lawmakers trying to block a debt-ceiling increase to terrorists.

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill compared lawmakers trying to block raising the debt ceiling to “al Qaeda terrorists.”

“The people who are threatening not to pass the debt ceiling are our version of al Qaeda terrorists. Really,” O’Neill, Treasury secretary in the Republican administration of George W. Bush, said Wednesday in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s InBusiness with Margaret Brennan.

“They’re really putting our whole society at risk by threatening to round up 50 percent of the members of the Congress, who are loony, who would put our credit at risk,” O’Neill said.

I am not an economist, but I do know that if you spend more than you make, you will eventually have no money left.

Have I missed something or did the planet have a pole shift and everything is now operating in reverse?

Paul O’Neill the Rightfielder for the Yankees during the Torre championship seasons was a terrific ballplayer.Paul O’Neill the former Treasury Secretary under George W. Bush endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 and was an incompetent loser. He was so typical of the disloyal mediocrities that George W. Bush inflicted on us – so many of them like Scott McClellan and Colin Powell endorsed Obama. I for one do not miss George W. Bush (well only in comparison to Obama).

Notice that they didn’t actually lie?

Many Liberals still insist that Hank Paulson was also a Republican, just because he worked for GWB.

Eyebrows at the Treasury were raised last Tuesday when Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. named a major Democratic fundraiser to an important advisory role. On the next day, eyebrows were still elevated when Under Secretary Robert K. Steel participated in an event spearheaded by Bill Clinton’s two Treasury secretaries.

Mr. O’Neill, you put “our whole society at risk.” You and your reckless spending. As a result, you helped elect a president who is destroying this country and ignoring our foundational basis as a country.
Our representatives should enact a law that seizes all your assests, your family’s assets, your extended family’s assets, and places the next 4 generations of O’Neills in debt bondage. Yes, your unborn progeny in debt bondage. You and every democrat, and all their families too.
You put my children in debt. You, and your allies.
And please do not say this plan is “unconstitutional.” That would be too rich.
    Yes, we can. Screw you.

These are the scariest ones of all. They have been hiding in plain site, and now that they think the libs are winning, they come out of the closet.

We need to shut these dirtbags down. Throw them out. Toss them in the ditch. Relegate them to the dustbin of history.

Time for a new breed in DC. A breed that loves this country and wants to leave it in better shape for their children that their parents left it for them. Because our parents really sucked at their job.

PS.. I say sucked at their job RE guberment, not raising wise chillens.

Here, let me toss this your way, just for grins.

China cleared their throat last week about the US debt. They are going to reallocate theirs down about two thirds.

Lets say the chinks walk into the Feds bank and toss 1.8 trillion dollars worth of bonds on the counter and say, “We want it in cash, or cash equivalent”.

US says, well it will take 3 years to print that many dollars, what will you take in exchange?

Chink says “how about all of your BLM land, including the mineral rights”!

Do you see the picture that I am painting?

Another democrap socialist infiltrator in the Bush Administration. For shame Mr McNeill. The Pres had no desire and no plan to actually cut the debt and you deride the one half of one third of the federal government which is in sane conservative hands, for using their only leverage to stop the financial collapse of the country. You should give back the money you made off of the US Taxpayers, for your perfidy.

The statement “50 percent of the members of the Congress, who are loony” is O’Neill’s backhanded way of saying 50% of the country (The Tea Party) is loony. Here is another enemy of the people. He’s ticked off that the country awakened and arose in November 2010 and booted his worthless ilk out on their collective arses.

Glenn Beck illustrated the devasting reality of this administrations fiscal & monetary policies with some very revealing charts on this afternoon’s program. fast forward to 1:15 to view.

“The biggest crisis our nation has ever faced however, isn’t being caused by enemies outside of our country. It is being done by an enemy from within. That enemy is called “The Fed”. While the president tries to blame speculators for the insane gas prices that we’re hitting, I want to show you and continue to beat the drum on why this is really happening. There are new charts I want to show you today. I want to thank [J.] Kevin Meaders, who helped put this together. He has an article that I read last night charting the course to seven dollars gas. It’s a great article. You’ll find it at Glenn Beck.com and see the charts.

Uh, what credit would that be Paul?

In case you missed it, S&P just downgraded our bonds… I mean third world countries have a better credit rating than we do.

You can’t just put out more and more IOU’s and still get a seat in the game Paul, everyone knows you’re not good for it.

In other words Paul, raising the debt ceiling is NOT the answer, so stop with the hyperbole…. we’re not impressed.

At least now I know one of the ways GW Bush went wrong … i.e., Paul O’Neill.
