He stepped forward and refuse to play the panty waste political correct game in Iraq in a successful effort to interrogate an insurgent that is believed to have saved American GIs’ lives.

Actually, no, he wasn’t kicked out of the Army. He retired in the summer of 2004. Yes, it is likely that after receiving an article 15 for the mentioned incident regarding the Iraqi civilian (who wasn’t actually a “civilian”, but rather an Iraqi police officer) he would not be promoted to Colonel (O6). However, it is quite possible that he would not have been so promoted anyway; most are not. And there is a big difference between being “kicked out” and voluntarily retiring.
I suppose he could have just asked the guy pretty please to give up the information. It’s not like he actually hurt him or anything. I agree the method was unorthodox, and violated Army procedures (which is why he was court martialed and received an Article 15). Note: An Article 15 is “non-judicial punishment.” If the Army thought him guilty of “war crimes”, he would have received much more than an Article 15.
You know, Ms. Sandler, sometimes the person who wins the election is not someone you like. I should know; I have been living in a congressional district for the past 26 years that has been ruled by the same family, the Gonzalez’s, since 1961. I didn’t particularly like Henry B, and I am not too fond of Charlie either. But it would never occur to refer to them by a vulgar name, as you seem to enjoy tagging Rep West with.
Interesting that the left has no problem with using a vulgar name or phrase in connection with a black conservative Republican; but if one were to do something similar with regard to a black liberal Democrat, why then one would surely be labeled a “racist.” I’m sure Ms. Sandler doesn’t consider herself to be a racist…

After listening to this audio by Ms. Sandler, it becomes very apparent that she desperately seeking some kind of relevance with the Left via the press. She lacks presence, integrity, and yes…..one of the left’s favorite words…..gravitas. But I sense she is happy to have this exposure. Negative publicity is more than she can muster by talent. She’ll take it. Or risk fading into liberal oblivion.
