Allen West Demands Soros-Funded ThinkProgress Retract “Inaccurate” Story Claiming Town Hall Questions Were Pre-Screened…

(Sunshine State News) — Rep. Allen West is disputing the account by a left-wing website, ThinkProgress, that the congressman “pre-screened” questions at his town hall meetings this week.
After a small group of protesters tried to disrupt a meeting in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, a more civil gathering was conducted in Boca Raton on Wednesday evening.
Angela Sachitano, spokeswoman for West, R-Plantation, issued this statement Thursday about ThinkProgress’ coverage and the events:
“The article is factually incorrect and we have already demanded a retraction.
“The facts are in both town halls:
“Congressman West did not prescreen his questions and didn’t even see them ahead of time.
“Every person who entered the town hall had the opportunity to write down a question.
“The questions were sorted by a third party — the employees of the venue.
“No staff was involved with the questions. We did this intentionally so there was no bias with the questions.
“The decision to do this was based on getting through as many questions as possible.
“In the past, with such a large number of people showing up — sometimes up to 600 people — very few questions were asked, as people waited for an hour in line at the microphone, and many questions were asked over and over.”

West was just on the Glenn Beck radio show this morning. As soon as the (hopefully) studio video is out I will post it. He addresses the double standard in the ‘racist’ bullshit going on by the left.

I just don’t think these idiots realize that West has commanded troops in combat, under fire. He has slept more nights in dirt, sand and tents than most people have spent outside there own cushy beds, been to more countries than most people have been to counties in their own state.
These people better be very careful who they are picking a fight with.

The questions were written right before we entered the door to the theater, about 10 minutes before West took the stage and about 30 minutes before he started answering questions. It’s possible that certain questions were chosen, but there’s no way that West could have looked at any of the questions. And I doubt that people who were genuinely there to see West would have asked different questions had they the opportunity to do so on a microphone.
If the liberal agitators in the crowd had the opportunity to question him, they probably would have asked him completely irrelevant and insulting questions, like “Why are you a misogynistic liar?” It wouldn’t have been constructive and would have disrupted the show. Seeing that they wouldn’t be able to disrupt and protest the show during the Q&A session, they probably decided to do it anyway.
