CAIR Welcomes Obama’s “Clear Statement the US Is Not at War With Islam” During Bin Laden Speech…
Obama working that line into his OBL speech (then giving him an Islamic burial) makes me sick to my stomach.
(CNS News) — An Islamic civil rights group has called a press conference in Washington on Monday to discuss the death of al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, someone who “never represented Muslims or Islam,” the group said.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued the following statement early Monday morning:
“We join our fellow citizens in welcoming the announcement that Osama bin Laden has been eliminated as a threat to our nation and the world through the actions of American military personnel. As we have stated repeatedly since the 9/11 terror attacks, bin Laden never represented Muslims or Islam. In fact, in addition to the killing of thousands of Americans, he and Al Qaeda caused the deaths of countless Muslims worldwide. We also reiterate President Obama’s clear statement tonight that the United States is not at war with Islam.”
CAIR describes itself as America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.

All that burial at sea confirmed for me is that:
1.) We are still trying to play nicey-nice with islamists
2.) They will interpret it as weakness and/or fear on the part of our government
3) It will lump all “birthers” and “OBL deathers” into one group.
What it really means is that we have a government most Americans do not trust.
1) I don’t trust their motives
2) I don’t trust their ability to keep us safe
3) I don’t trust their “transparency” re/information dissemenation

The US not being at war with islam does not stop islam from being at war with us. Western civilization will continue to lose ground until it starts defending itself.
I’m not sure about the burial at sea. I’m fairly certain that there is no such thing as an islamic burial at sea. Muslims are allowed no contact with scavengers (pigs, vultures, dogs kinda, crabs and catfish). Any burial at sea will end with being eaten by crabs. So if he was buried at sea then it was not an islamic burial.
It’s kind of the naval equivalent of being fed to pigs. So let’s all hope that he was in fact buried at sea.

CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper equates Christian leaders such as Rev. Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and Rev. Jimmy Swaggart with Osama bin Laden because he claims that given the chance, they would commit mass murder against Muslims. “They’re the equivalent of our Osama bin Laden,” Hooper told WABC Radio’s Steve Malzberg. When asked to clarify if Osama bin Laden’s goal was to kill Christians, Jews and Westerners, Hooper responded, “Yes, that’s one of his goals. And I’m sure that, given the right circumstance, [Falwell, Robertson and Swaggart] would do the same in the opposite direction.”[11]
