An Awestruck AP: Obama So Concerned About Bin Laden Raid He Wore His Golf Shoes to the Oval Office…
If this was during the Bush administration, the AP would be ripping him for golfing hours prior to the Navy SEALs going in.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Golf shoes in the Oval Office could have been a clue.
President Barack Obama usually goes to the residence quarters of the White House after putting in a few weekend hours on the links. But he made an unusual beeline for his West Wing office last Sunday that raised eyebrows only in retrospect.
He was headed for a top-secret meeting to review final preparations for a military operation he’d approved two days earlier, the one involving a raid by Navy SEALs that would end with the death of Osama bin Laden, one of the world’s most hunted men.
But only a few insiders knew the real deal.
In a remarkable 72 hours of his presidency, Obama carried around a momentous secret and gave no hint of it as he went about his duties consoling tornado victims, delivering a college commencement address and cracking jokes at a black-tie dinner.
After signing off on the operation Friday morning, Obama left the White House with his wife, Michelle, and daughters, Malia and Sasha, for a busy day of travel, with three stops in two Southern states.
In Alabama, one of several states hammered by fierce tornados, Obama assumed his role as consoler in chief as he and the first lady got up close and walked the streets of rubble-strewn Tuscaloosa communities that had been flattened by the twisters.
His next stop was Cape Canaveral, Fla., and the launch of space shuttle Endeavour. But the lift-off was scrubbed before the Obamas even left Alabama. He kept to his schedule anyway, touring NASA facilities and getting a view of space shuttle Atlantis with his family.
Obama also met privately at the Kennedy Space Center with wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz. Recovering from a bullet to the head, Giffords flew from a Houston rehabilitation facility to Florida for the launch because her husband, Mark Kelly, is the shuttle commander.
Obama later delivered an evening commencement address at Miami Dade College before returning to Washington.
He kept his poker face throughout the weekend.

If someone had spilled their champagne while starting at the big screen TV display of the Seal Team 6 action, it could have ruined Obama’s next White House party.

Does this clown not have one adult around him who has guts enough to tell him that an adult male – let alone someone in his position – probably shouldn’t wear those loser shorts with the pockets on the legs? Whenever I see a photo of this fool in those shorts I think that that must be where he keeps his marbles & action hero toys and stuff.

How ironic that the president who least respects our great military may win a second term thanks to their heroic efforts. This mission was accomplished in spite of, not because of, the pretender who occupies the White House. But he will shamelessly milk this for all it’s worth. While those brave military and intelligence experts who relentlessly pursued bin Laden since long before coward Obama assumed office deeply regret they weren’t able to find and kill this pig during GWB’s presidency.
Anyone here doubt that when the bullets started flying and blood was let that obama had his head in a garbage can and was puking his guts out.

That’s because he had know idea what was happening. Some one in his own administration had to clue him in about what was going to happen. This was not a decision consistent with BO and his world view. My guess is calmer, smarter and more competent personnel did this and he just said “Okay, see you on the course.”

Big risk for Obama?
It was clearly a political decision designed to save his presidency.
Instead of revealing all information available to the American people, Obama and his friends conspired to use it to their personal advantage. They place their personal needs over the needs of the American people. (reelection)

Obama is on disconnect. If truth be told (hah!) the people in the war room would report how shocking his disengagement even as a Seal team was poised for this dangerous assignment. Remember how Obama ran out on Bill Clinton’s press conference around Christmastime? He can’t help himself. He is a sick sick man.
Poker face = Good liar. been lying all his life. I do believe he is very good at it. But if he knew all the details of the raid days before and kept a tight lip…It would be the first thing he done right since the election.

Panetta actually gave the order to assault the compound and take out OBL. I think they pulled thuggy off the golf course just to make it look like he was in charge. Could still be a constitutional crisis if this information is accurate.
If he was so concerned, why was he golfing? Worst president ever.
